5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it needs to do

Pros: Replaced my one month old Thermaltake PSU with this one and I'm quite happy with it. No more random shutdowns on heavy load. I have this PSU for about one year and so far so good.

Cons: I did find that the 24 pin connector was a little short, but I was able to make it work after a little bit of reorganizing my wires. Other than the 24 pin connector, I found no other problem .

Other Thoughts: Although the 24 pin connector was a bit short, I was able to make it work so I'm not going to take off eggs for that.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It works and looks nice. I haven't had any issues and when the power went out today all my computer parts were fine.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I don't know if this is standard, but modular wires come with 3 connectors on each, so each SATA power wire comes with 3 SATA Power connectors.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Modular PSU

Pros: Modular cables.
Cable quality.
Build quality.
Efficient.

Cons: Damaged during assembly
Gave up on taking advantage of my rebate, due to Corsair/Newegg discrepancies. If you purchased during a rebate, do not expect to obtain it easily whatsoever.
Cables are a bit short and are not sleeved.

Other Thoughts: The PSU arrived with damage to the casing. A corner of the metal casing of the PSU is bent and out of place, causing the upper section of the case to tilt away from the other, almost enough to make a small gap to the interior of the PSU. This had to be manufacturer damage, as it looks as if it was simply assembled carelessly.

The cables are a bit short, and are not sleeved.

The rebate process was complete bullcrap, as they intentionally hid the UPC code underneath another sticker, and then proceeded to inform me that I may never be able to RMA it if I sent the UPC in for the rebate. I bit the bullet and said to hell with the $20 instead. I'd rather have a safe plan if it fails.

The modular cables are nice, the power supply is fairly small in size and feels sturdy, despite the damage. It is also fairly efficient with a 80 Plus Bronze rating.

All-in-all, nice PSU for the price, however, do not expect a rebate and be wary of damage.

4 out of 5 eggsCables were a little short

Pros: Uhhhhhhhh, it's a power supply and I don't have an incinerated house. Good enough

Cons: Cables were JUST too short to wire them through the gromits on my case (Corsair Carbide 500)

2 out of 5 eggs24 pin connector issue

Pros: Apart from shoddy construction, the actual guts of the product seem to work great, but...

Cons: The 24 pin connector won't go all the way into the motherboard slot. I left it about 70 percent in, and my machine gets power but I've been having random crashes and now all my hardware is way too hot and I think it's a result of the 24 pin connector issue. :( This seems to be a somewhat common issue so buyer beware

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're sorry that you're experiencing issues with your system, although having a loose 24-pin should not affect the cooling of your system. To address the 24-pin connector issue, please remove your motherboard from the case and place it on a hard surface and press down on the cable to have it attach all the way. As for the system getting hot and crashing issue, please make sure that you're CPU cooler is working and that your fans are spinning. If you have further issues or questions, feel free to give us a call at 888-222-4346 or submit a support ticket at corsair.force.com.

Thank you,

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product/Missing Cables

Pros: Works as advertised. No issues whatsoever.

Cons: It was supposed to come with molex cables as indicated on the box but did not. I bought a molex to 3 pin fan adapter for a case fan and cannot hook it up because the package did not come with molex cables.

5 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

Pros: Everything I expected of it. Great performance so far, and I have ran into no major problems with the unit!

Cons: There was a little piece of plastic lose at the bottom, and if I wiggled the psu I heard it sliding. It hasn't proved to be a major problem but it was most likely during shipping.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Hasn't failed so far in the couple months it has been in use, had the cabling options for my build, packaged well, and etc.

A good power supply all around

Cons: The 24-pin power connector has issues fitting into the motherboard. Tried it normally, tried switching orientation, and tried pressing it in as hard as I could until I thought the motherboard would break from bending so far. It never went in all the way...

The result of this is that the computer will lose all power if it's jostled around enough, or moved around without extra care.
