Pros: this PSU havn't give me any problem yet. work at the first time.
Cons: cables are somewhat short so it is hard to cable management but it's cover with back plate so it doesn't really matter

Rating: 5/5So far, so great.

Pros: The "hybrid" feature turns the fan on only when necessary (60% load). This means not only less (no) noise, but less dust being pulled into your PSU.
Overload AND underload protection. "Platinum" Certified
ALL cables are removable including the main 24pin trunk line. Not necessarily a big deal, but if the standard should ever change again (like it did going from 20pin to 24pin), this unit is ready for it.
Incredibly well thought-out, down to flipping the label on either side of the unit so that it's always right-side up no matter how you install your psu.
Spare cables stored in a velcro box-bag than can be placed in an included carrying bag. A bit much, but a nice touch.
Mounting screws and lots of cable tie-offs included.
Cons: VERY heavy. Best mounted in cases with bottom-mount PSU bays.
No extra mounting screws if you lose one.
Pricey.
Other Thoughts: Nearly a decade ago, I invested in a 750watt modular psu that was definitely overkill at the time. But it lasted me through three builds, so it was money well spent.
My latest build, an overclocked Intel 4770k was probably what did it in. Cascading device failures (two fans, several hard drives and a usb hub) had me scratching my head until I thought to test my psu. It had indeed started to go bad and I decided to spend the extra dough to invest in another top-end psu.
After much research, the AX860 was the best deal around (even over the 860i). Makes no noise whatsoever in hybrid mode (I have yet to tax it to the point the fan comes on). And with no fan constantly running, that means less dust/cat-hair to clog my psu filter and overheat the unit (which probably killed my last psu).
With the new AX860, all of my computer problems disappeared. Drives that would spin but not detected in bios are working again. Dead fans and an intermittently working usb hub all work again as well.
Because of the solid construction and quality components, this unit is probably 50% heavier than my old 750watt psu, increasing my computer's overall weight... a mild irritant for those times I need to move it to the workbench (rare.)
The only difference between the AX860 and AX860i is (so I'm told) added monitoring software/interface that most people say doesn't work that well and not used enough to justify the extra cost.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this PSU and would recommend it easily.

Rating: 3/5Great Quality but somehow i got a bad one
This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX860 860W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
Pros: Looks Great Great cable management with the modular design Quality cables and a hefty power cord High efficiency at its finest
Cons: DOA to a point i mean it will power up my system but it wont boot up the system for more than 5 seconds so after ruling out many possible hardware failure including the cpu ram as well as removing my 4 lb graphics card and finally as a last resort hooked up my 400 watt power supply and the system booted up reset and stayed running. I knew i should of breadboxed this system out of the case before furthering installation but after hours of diagnosing this psu was the culprit now waiting on an rma just sucks i wont be able to install my graphics card in this system with the temporary power supply which would buckle under the power draw

Rating: 2/5Makes a huming/pulsing noise.
This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX860 860W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
Pros: Seems to work.
Cons: The power supply makes a constant humming/pulsing noise.
Other Thoughts: Depending on your setup you may not notice it but I built a PC to be very quiet and I can clearly hear the power supply humming/pulsing while the PC is on. I am using two Samsung SSDs and an Antec case with 120mm and 140mm fans all set on low or off and the PC is very quiet.
When I replace the AX860 with an older TX850 that I have the PC is silent. When I put the AX860 in I can hear the constant humming/pulsing noise.
I am very disappointed to buy a power supply from Corsair that has not been properly engineered.

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX860 860W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
Pros: Its working and my system is warmer mainly because i was on an emergency 450 so CLEARLY i wasn't getting what my computer was set at before. System is more snappy.
Cons: Im hoping it last from all the reviews below...
Other Thoughts: i can totally see how someone COULD plug in the wrong cord and fry your motherboard. Make sure you take a GOOD look at whats going on.

Pros: Heavy, high quality build.
Cons: DOA, Came dead like some of the other users are getting.
Other Thoughts: Feels like a good psu, I like the cables and the length of the cables. easy to rout in my case. Sad that for once I made the switch from Ultra PSU's and the one time I think to give Corsair a try I get a bad item. Not sure if I'll be going with them again.

Pros: - Silent - High quality - Fully modular
Cons: None thus far.
Other Thoughts: Plenty of power to handle my GTX 780 2-way SLI and an overclocked FX-8320. Corsair has never failed to impress me with their products.
