5 out of 5 eggsTakes anything you throw at it

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: This thing is absolutely amazing. No power interruptions and smooth continuous sailing off the 12 volt. No noise, no coil while and the fan is off most of the time though, I can't really tell when it is on unless my hand is right next to the exhaust. Fully modular cables are a must for any newbie (that's me) and they made cable management a snap. Definitely recommend this power supply!!

Cons: I got some fancy LEDs for my build and wanted to test them before I got anything else hooked up in my rig. But when I connected them, nothing happened. My mind went right to faulty PSU or LEDs. After a little research I found that this PSU has a response feedback from the main rail before supplemental power will go out to other cables. Everything came out PERFECT in the end but just a little unnerving for a first time builder hooking up LEDs.

5 out of 5 eggsRock solid so far

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Comes in very fancy packaging, gives it a premium feel. Very quiet, never heard the fan spin up and no coil whine with a 4970k overclocked to 4.5 and a GTX 980.

Cons: Can't think of one.

1 out of 5 eggsDied on first power up

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Never worked

Cons: I was building a new PC. I got everything setup and tried to power it on. There was a load pop and nothing else. I tried Corsair's test using their instructions but it isn't powering anything. Hopefully it didn't damage any of my other equipment

1 out of 5 eggsDOA - Returning

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Since this unit came DOA, I can't really speak to the pros. However, I bought the AX860 and am having good results from the PSU.
The unit (760/860) runs extremely efficient. You do get two options for fan control.
I mounted mine fan down to eliminate hot air out of the case.

Cons: Arrived Dead. Had my entire set up all put together, luckily I didn't complete my cable management so the cables were able to be taken out.
In hindsight I should have bench tested before putting everything in the case, but I didn't.

Other Thoughts: Currently using the 860 I bought from Fry's. I didnt want to wait for a replacement from Newegg. Currently happy with the unit and got it for the same price.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted 2 Weeks

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Fully modular
Packed nice

Cons: Power supply was working fine for 2 weeks. Turned my computer off at night, and the next morning when I went to power it on nothing would happen. Swapped the PSU out with a different known working one and everything ran fine.

Dieing after 2 weeks under relatively light load isn't worth the price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply, Short Cables

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Save a few bucks on your energy bill with Plus Platinum certification
The hybrid fan is a nice bonus
Fully modular helps with cable management

Cons: The CPU cable was a bit short. I had to flip the supply fan-side-up (and not utilize the bottom vents of my H440) to allow my CPU power cable enough room to reach the connector on my motherboard.
It costs a pretty penny.

Other Thoughts: There are definitely some great benefits to this power supply, but if you're not interested in the features, you can definitely find a cheaper option.

5 out of 5 eggsBest PSU I've Ever Purchased.

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: I love the 0-RPM feature this comes with. The fan only spins when needed and it provides very clean power to the system. Also, the platinum rating makes for a great energy bill saver. It came with an abundance of cables to use with its fully modular set up.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsDead as a door nail

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Seems like a nice PS when it works.

Cons: Died at less than 24 hours of use. What a hassle it was to remove and put in my old PS. To top it off I can't get a refund I guess I can exchange it.

Other Thoughts: I paid a lot for this and expected better quality. I am very disappointed.

4 out of 5 eggsAX760 Review

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Great build quality
Fully modular
Great packaging
Hybrid use fan
Completely black cables

Cons: CPU cable length
Constant high frequency noise
Price*

Other Thoughts: I received this power supply for free from Corsair after a previous power supply I purchased from Corsair failed under warranty.

In the process of rebuilding my computer, I see Corsair kept the great build quality they're known for, and overall the power supply is great so far. They did have a couple quirks that I think could have been ironed out though. The cord that is supposed to supply power to the CPU is WAY to short. I have a full size tower, and the cable barely fits. I feel like another few inches could be added to this cable, I'm sure in very large cases it will simply not be long enough. The price they ask for this power supply seems a bit high for what you are actually getting. If I did not get this for free, I would not buy this for full price.

This is usually not a problem for many people, but the power supply emits a very high frequency noise, even if the computer is off. I can hear the power supply from rooms away, although not a single other person I know can hear this noise, even if they are inches away. If you are prone to hearing high frequency noises, you might want to take this into consideration.

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy, Reliable, Compact.

This review is from: CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Easily to install. Compact, and sturdy construction. This power supply is Fully Modular so you use only the cables you need. My build only requires about 450W, but I chose this power supply for long term use, and to make future upgrades easier.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: After weeks of researching Power Supplies, I chose this one based on numerous Professional and Personal reviews.
