1 out of 5 eggsjunk

Pros: was low cost

Cons: After 30 min of running it crashes and computer resets. This was an out of the box condition.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA and killed my MB

Pros: didn't get a chance to see the pros

Cons: DOA, wanted to confirm if it was my PC or the power supply, so I plugged in another PC, it also killed the MB.

Other Thoughts: return shipping is $17! the PSU only cost $40 after rebate
not to mention it fried another computer.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: It works. Fairly heavy-duty, runs cool, quiet with no fan noise. Seems to be a good value.

Cons: It's not modular but that's really no big deal if you don't mind the extra wiring tucked away in your case.

Other Thoughts: Hope it lasts longer than my OCZ 600-watt, which fried itself after a year. Newegg shipping by UPS was excellent. Ordered it on Tuesday and got it Thursday afternoon.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Unit

Pros: This PSU is quiet! Even under a load it remains really quiet to the point where I can hear my HDDs over the unit. The appearance is subjective, but I believe it looks really clean and sleek. Nice matte finish, great sleeved cables, plenty connections for a 600W.

Cons: Another subjective claim, but I really dislike the spec sticker being on the underside of the PSU. When you mount it to a bottom you can see the sticker and it messes with the aesthetics. But that's just me. Nothing to fret over.

Other Thoughts: This is a great unit, and with most newer components being low W, this unit is perfect.

Pros: works once its plugged onto the mobo

Cons: the main cable is impossible to connect onto the mobo and took way more force than should be needed

4 out of 5 eggsA Good PSU Overall

Pros: This power supply provides plenty of power for everything in my fairly high end rig (3570k/7870xt). Nice and quiet.

Cons: The CPU power cord was a bit shorter than I would have liked. I ended up running it around the left side of the motherboard in my Cooler Master Storm Enforcer case, so it doesn't look as nice as it could have.

2 out of 5 eggsTrouble with the cables

Pros: The basic power unit and fan seem like good solid hardware. I bought this CX600 in May of 2011 and am still using it.

Cons: The two cables to the hard drives are poor, as in, 4 of the 6 connectors at the HD end don't work anymore. Each cable has 3 connectors. The connector at the very end of the cable still works. The other connectors that are part-way along the cable gradually quit working over time. Now those 4 connectors are all non-working. Also the wires that are in these 2 bundles have stiff insulation, which is asking for trouble every time you have to bend the wire bundle to make it fit somewhere. Wires of this small gage should be very flexible.

Other Thoughts: No excuse for the crummy reliability of the connectors on the cables to the hard drives. These connectors all worked when new, but they failed one by one over time. Every time one would quit working it would scare the heck out of me because first thing that happens is your computer quits working - with a hard drive error. So right away you're thinking, oh no, gotta start all over again with a new install on a new hard drive. But not so, it's just these crummy cables. This type of thing should not be in even the cheapest product level. I do have a large case with 6 hard drive bays. Right now I'm only using 2 drives so I'm ok with the 2 connectors that still work!

2 out of 5 eggsGood when it works

Pros: Solid construction
Clean, easily managed cables
Plenty of zip ties

Cons: Fan stopped working after 4 days of use, overheating the PSU
Corsair support is super slow

Other Thoughts: Would have easily given this 4-5 eggs, had the fan not died on me after 4 days, but quality control is a big issue. In addition, it took Corsair over a week just to respond to my support ticket. Thankfully, Newegg processes RMAs alot faster.
