5 out of 5 eggsAfordable, Good Power

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This power supply is a good affordable middle of the road power supply has many extra plugs for peripherals.
This PS is black so it will blend in with inside of newer cases
also has good cooling.

New-egg has a great price also...

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend to all building a machine on a budget.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Solid performance for the price. Wires are neatly bundled and wrapped for nice cable/wire management. I'd go so far to say that the noise from the fans is exceptionally low for this price point. Fans are more than adequate for most case applications.

Cons: None that I can see in over a year of use; a quality part.

Other Thoughts: The PC we built with this power supply was hit with a power surge from a lightning strike that appears to have surged over the wired network connection (which was not on a surge protector)--causing this power supply to fail. We replaced with another Corsair unit. Great product.

1 out of 5 eggsPower Supply Broken when it arrived

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Couldn't use it long enough to find a positive aspect.

Cons: The 430W power supply caused my system to reboot every 1-2 hours the day I opened the box and installed it. Tested it for days and the reboot time varied between 1 hour and 7 hours. When I use a much older 300W power supply, my system has no trouble at all. The 430W Corsair PS sits in the junk pile now.

Also, the rebate period was too short for me to take advantage of.
