2 out of 5 eggsNot Ideal for a Small Build

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: - Quality

- Lots of sata cables.

Cons: - Cables/wires take up a lot of space; in fact I can't even tie or tuck them away inside my case.

- Cables are heavy which means if the power connector is loose then it will come off very easily.

- Sata cables are all connected and close to each other meaning I have to put my Blu Ray player at the bottom layer and my hard drive at the top layer for both of them to be connected. I wanted to put my hard drive closer to the bottom and my Blu Ray to the top 1st disc layer/tray. Oh well.

Other Thoughts: The connector to my motherboard is loose when I first purchased this, which means moving my pc just so slightly (bump or a finger-tip) will unhook the power connector and shut off my pc instantly. In fact, I can't even put my pc on an exact spot in the room without the connector unhooking. It's currently sitting on the floor collecting more dust than it should. I can't even close the lid on my case without the case door touching the power connector cord, which will result in a disconnect. Next time, I'm choosing a different brand. This is ridiculous!

2 out of 5 eggsFaulty

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -Good Cables
-Quiet Fan

Cons: Triggers asus anti-surge when playing graphically intensive games. Must not be supplying enough power to the motherboard when the graphics card gets thirsty. Various PSU calculators estimated the recommended wattage to be well below 430W so I assume I have a faulty unit.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little work horse

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: These power supplied are my go to for basic builds. Over the past year or two, I have used at least a dozen of these and have not had one fail yet. Great quality for the price. Nice and quiet too.

Cons: These should be cheaper, considering when they go on sale and you get a rebate, you can pick one up for $25.
