4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: I have a Dell Optiplex 960 and there were problems installing it. The place where the plug goes into the power source sticks out a bit and since i had to put my power source in (seeimngly) upside down, The protruding plug input wouldnt let the PSU get right up against the cage and so i couldnt get the screws back in. I ended up getting a pair of plyers and bending the back of the metal frame around the input and it fits just fine now. I like how the sleeves are in mesh, Makes it look better, However since its hard mesh, The cables are harder to work with. Example: since the cord are "extra long" on this model, the SATA connectors have more wire than they need between each other and it is hard to tuck the unneeded wire any where because the hard mesh wants to hold it straight. Any ways, i got it figured out and powered up. It looks good too.

Cons: It seems a tad loud, but no so much that its really a huge annoyance. The wire mesh can be a bit of bugger.

Other Thoughts: If you have a Dell like i do, Maybe consider getting a specialized Dell PSU that will fit in your brackets and clips.

1 out of 5 eggsDead in 1 year

Pros: We get 430W worth of continuous power with no surprises. Limited ripple and noise, a quiet 120mm fan, active PFC and fully sleeved cables. Efficiency was a bit of a disappointment, especially since Corsair claims that their unit passed 80 Plus certification and Corsair is not a company like so many others that tend to submit a "modified" unit in order to pass testing. So overall, we don't have a great PSU, but for the price we have a decent one.

Cons: Died in an year. Got this for $18 w/ rebate. Even though this PSU has 3 year warranty, shipping costs $12 to send for RMA replacement. And Corsair stated that the replacement could be refurbished unit. Still wondering if it is worthwhile to spend $12 for a refurb unit, or just get a newer device.

Other Thoughts: Not worth it, if you need to spend $$ to replace it ( or pay ridiculous RMA shipping fee for a refurb unit ) every year

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Corsair Customer,
We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue with you CX430. We do not send out refurbished power supplies as RMA replacements. There are some product lines we may replace with Refurbs, but for PSUs we will replace them with brand new retail units. So, I would recommend that you please contact our Tech Support team using the following link and they would be happy to help troubleshoot further or replace the unit for you through an RMA if need be.

They can also be reached by phone using the toll free number listed on our contact page: http://www.corsair.com/us/company/contact/
Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: This power supply is working great in a recent basic build. No issues and a great price.

Cons: Still waiting on my $20 mail-in-rebate, but even without it's not a terrible buy.

4 out of 5 eggsInvalid Rebate?

Pros: Solid PSU. Hasn't died on me yet. I have an i3 3220 and hd 7850

Cons: Poor rebate service. They didn't receive UPC.

Other Thoughts: At first they said they didn't have the UPC so they filed my rebate as invalid. I called them up (took some time and patient waiting) and they transferred me to their supervisor. He said they didn't receive the UPC. I said I'm sure I sent it. After a couple minutes of talking, I think he said something like he was going to put it through and to wait a couple weeks for a rebate (I couldn't understand his accent very well). So I'm currently waiting for an update to the rebate. I'll edit this review once I get feedback.
