Didn't make the long run
- Pros: Worth a shot for a budget buy?
- Cons: Failed after a little over a year in a massive sparkling explosion out the back of the mesh part of the PS case, brilliant!
Now to find out if anything else got destroyed in my PC and I will update this review.
Great Reliable.
- Pros: Follow up to my previous review. I've had it for a year and a half, and it's accumulated roughly 10,500 hours. Still rock stable, and quiet. The 2nd 12V rail has never been used. The graphics card CPU and everything all draw from one rail, so when playing games with full load it gets down to about 11.62v. Still rock steady though, no problems at all. It is dead silent.
- Cons: It is not a single 12V rail.
- Other Thoughts: Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 @ 3.6Ghz
Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L 4GB Patriot Memory DDR2-800 Powercolor Radeon 4670 512MB WD 640GB Blue
Still silent cool and reliable
- Pros: This is my followup, going on eight months in service now and still one of the best units for the money ive ever had. This is still THE quietest ps i have ever owned. Reliability has been flawless, but as the reviews show, you can always get a bad one from anyone. I would still choose this as my PS for most basic and some medium builds, unless the quality proves to fall dramatically.
- Cons: None yet, you can spend less but this has been exemplary for the money.
- Other Thoughts: As my previous review states, this unit was rigorously tested in a prominent pc publication, and it passed with flying colors, even delivering well above the stated wattage. The only negative was its efficiency -- a touch lower than some, but stability and cleanness of out put were both very good.
