Pros: Supports 1920x1200 resolution.

Cons: Ancient driver that causes BSODs in Windows 7 64-bit, no manufacturer support.

Other Thoughts: This was purchased because we were having problems with IOGear GUC2020DW6s (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815290006) supporting the full HD resolution (1920x1080) of our monitors and this adapter was reviewed as having this capability.

After installing the included drivers on a Windows 7 64-bit system it caused BSOD issues until they were removed.

The driver available for download from the manufacturer's website is identical to that included in the box which is from 2010. Unfortunately the link to the "new driver" to fix the problem is broken. After looking at the other reviews here it would seem that even if they were available, they wouldn't solve the problem anyway.

I'm returning this product and would recommend no one buy it. Hopefully the next guy looks at the high proportion of bad reviews of this product before buying and moves on.

Pros: Compact size, comes with all required cords

Cons: BSOD on Windows 7 64 bit - manufacturers website has new driver that is suposed to resolve the issue. New driver crashes too.

Pros: It works in Win7 and OSX, not sure what everyone is complaining about. User error?

Cons: The only con is that it's slow. There is a considerable difference in speed vs my evga +16 and the HIS HMV2-MAC-PC. For the other reviewer below that uses it for email and chat client, that's exactly what it's for, not gaming or movies.

No portrait viewing angle in my experience.

Other Thoughts: For a few bucks more, go with the HIS I mentioned above. This works for still images but the HIS performance is far superior!

Cons: This is a piece of junk. Drivers sucks and keep on displaying errors on WIN7 (used on Lenovo X220). Don't waste your money or time. Sent email to company and got no response.

Other Thoughts: HW might be good but the SW support sucks. Many other people had similar issues. I wished that I read their review before buying. It is just sitting on my desk collecting dust now.

Pros: I provide remote support for prominent companies across the country. This was purchased on a whim as a shell-shocker from Newegg as I incidentally needed/wanted to add a third display. Now, I know as a USB to video adapter that this was not meant for gaming, video, etc. type performance and therefore use this as simple extended display for my email, chat client or whatever other office type program I am running on the side. For that purpose, it works flawlessly. Never an issue with system stability, drivers or conflicts, etc.
So, if you're still reading here and have seen all of the negative reviews, I don't get it either. Apparently, some expectations are simply too high or the product is not fully understood. Actually, it has me rather spoiled and I just ordered a second one today. The price is still right.

Cons: I do wish it would run x1080 resolution at 32 bit - that's the threshold that I ride at. However, it is what it is. 16bit works fine.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking at this and do not expect screaming performance on the attached display, it will work well for you. I have used it on XP, 7x64 and OSX and it works exactly as expected.
If you need gaming performance on an additional display, you need a video card to drive it. It's just that simple.

Pros: There's nothing good to say about this product.

Cons: The drivers are horrible and cause issues with all of your monitors including those plugged directly into a video card. The refresh rate on all the monitors is effected and causes noticeable issues with and fast fps application. I am returning mine.

Pros: ... Bought while on sale?

Cons: The driver compiled by the manufacturer, a division of MadCats, is defective. Installed on my Windows 7 64-bit, the driver, which was signed, is responsible for my BSOD, (0x00000116). I am a certified PC technician, and the only way I am going to be able to recover from this is by restoring or re-imaging my PC.

Other Thoughts: I read a number of negative reviews, but I didn't see any that were recent, so I figured that, while they were on the Shell Shocker deal, I'd give them a try. Boy do I regret that now.

So bottom line: Do NOT buy these!

Pros: The devices haven't exploded, oozed toxic waste, or caught fire yet.

Cons: Everything else. The device drivers repeatedly lock up my MacBook Pro, running an OS version that they claim is supported. OK, that kind of thing happens - however, the response of Tritton tech support to my repeated requests for information has been abysmally inadequate. They either don't know their own products, or are just not motivated to provide support to their customer base.

Other Thoughts: A real disappointment.

Pros: The price would be good if worked as promised.

Cons: Snow Leopard driver causes system to lock up all the time. Driver was in beta then same drive was released as final. No updates have been done for at least 4-5 months.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy it for Snow Leopard until new driver released which fixes the lock up issue.

Pros: Works well, I use it as a third monitor when I am programming. I have watched a movie on it however I would not make a habit out of it. All in all a good product and I would recommend it to anyone who has a Mac and needs more than 2 monitors.

Cons: I have to reboot my computer when I want to use it. I can not plug in the USB cable to my MacBook while it is running and have another monitor. I have to reboot with the USB plugged in to get the screen to work. This seems to be a driver issue and hopefully will be fixed soon.

Other Thoughts: I am running Snow leopard on a 13" White MacBook (2006). I am using three monitors and this tool is great for my purposes. The reboot is a little bit of a hassle but I can live with it.
