5 out of 5 eggsSerial Duals

Pros: This is another Rosewill product that worked right out of the box and worked after upgrading from Windoze XP to Winnie 7 Pro with Zero issues - Note: Use the MosChip drivers on Rosewill's site as they worked flawlessly with Win7 Pro 64 bit. (Same as another user did - so that seems to be a sure fire workable solution)
Rosewill makes Great Products and just bought their CAT & cable and will be leaving updates on that as soon as i install them in the network where this card happens to be in one of the PC's - Will update later.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Could have sent a Thumb Screw for easy installation - would have been nice, but was not included in the package nor shown in the pics - So no Egg Off as it was clear you don't get one

5 out of 5 eggsIt works well for me.

Pros: It works well on my Win 7 64 bit computers. I use the MosChip driver 2.0.0.18.

Cons: Windows update wants to install ASIX drivers. Those don't work.

Other Thoughts: I got the MosChip drivers on Rosewill's site. They may also be on the included CD. I didn't look.

Pros: It works great. Windows 7 64 bit didn't detect as other reviews said it would, but the CD installed the drivers quickly and it works. Does what I needed it to do.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsDestroys MB audio and PCI

Pros: If you find the right drivers, it does work. But caution, only on older motherboards should you use this card.

Cons: I installed this in two motherboards, P8Z77-V and a P8Z68-v, and on both motherboards the audio chip toasted. I highly recommend avoiding this serial port card except for legacy systems.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately the first MB I installed I was not using the audio. I tried the card in second computer, P8Z77-V and heard a distinct pop on the speakers. Since then the audio is gone. Not sure what the issues is, but this card is dangerous to other devices on the PCI bus. Only use this on older systems. The card did work, but I have no idea why this would cause problems with the realtek audio on the MB.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat forAmateur Radio use

Pros: I installed this card and it worked just fine from the stat, you have to make sure it's seated! I run some legacy serial HAM radio hardware (Kantronics TNCs, and KENWOOD computer remote control of transceivers) It woks great. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Cons: I have not run into any CONs so far, has worked flawlessly!

Other Thoughts: This card has enabled me to operate modes that I really enjoy, and the solid performance makes operation a pleasure!

1 out of 5 eggsGoing back

Pros: Was cheap

Cons: Doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: Driver disk refuses to install drivers. Chipset manufacturers website even worse. Got it to work once. After reboot, disappeared again and refused to re-install. Win 7 64bit doesn't recognize it. Sending it back.

2 out of 5 eggsIssues with Windows 7

Pros: Helps your use up that more than likely empty PCI slot.

Cons: Doesn't seem to work with devices connected.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to connect my Dex Drive to backup old PS1 and N64 saves. Neither device was detected whenever connected to the expansion card. Yes, the computer was off and the devices were turned on prior to device installation.

3 out of 5 eggsGood hardware

Pros: Its works, much needed dual port with the hardware that I am connecting to it.

Cons: welll......not now

Other Thoughts: It took some playing with to have my MB function properly with it. My ASUS MA79XTD EVO would not boot/psot when I first installed it in a particular pci slot. Had to pull the cmos jumper, all is good now.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine on Win 7-64
