5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Deal

Pros: Card was as easy as plug and play for me. Im still running a 3 year old SLI board but didnt have any issues at all. System fired right up, updated drivers with the disk provided. No issues at all. Will Run Battlefield Bad Company 2 on high res with no latency, and thats with just my old dual core. Great Buy!

Cons: Need (2) 6 pin power cables available. Not really a con for anyone with a decent power supply as the card comes with an adaptor to convert those to an 8 pin power supply for the card. Fan is noisy, but with the OC software you can control that too so you dont have to run it unless absolutely necessary.

Other Thoughts: Love the card, love the ease of install. Plays games great even on my outdated mobo and dual core proc.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Green Card, Underclocked and Quite.
Runs SC2 in Ultra even on my old 3800+X2.
Has clocking software to run it normally should you choose to, personally I have no need to OC and wanted something Budget and lowdraw.

Cons: Does not state on specifications page that it uses two 6pin adapters. Had to wait for a 4pin to 6pin Molax adapter from Newegg. Cheap fix for 2.99+shipping though, no need for a new PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card for the price

Pros: Plugged in and it fired right up with the provided drivers. Updated drivers from manufacture without a problem. Windows Experience rates the card pretty low for Aero desktop. Not a gamer so I can't comment there. Videos and picture has noted improvement over the last card I had. A great buy for an economical build.

Cons: Software that comes with the card is dated and I did not install or use with Windows 7 (64-bit).

Other Thoughts: Suffering the rebate process. Took 30 days to get notified it will take 8 weeks to get the rebate.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card.

Pros: The card works as intended, a great buy for budget upgrades. The small form factor makes installation easier, has an inch or two off the 9800 / 8800 size PCBs.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Got the 512 mb Zotac version of this, but Newegg currently lists it as deactivated. Forgot to use the 2x 6 pin PCI-E to 8 Pin PCI-E adapter at first and was confused for about 5 minutes, but no big deal.

The GTS 250 cards can SLI with 9800 GTX+ (not any other version other than GTX+) provided the user flashes the 9800 GTX+'s BIOS with a GTS 250 BIOS at the user's discretion.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great card - got it on sale for $115. The first one came DOA - a wire was severed where the fan hooks up to the card, but had it replaced within a few days. Upgraded from an old Radeon 3000 series and the difference is HUGE! I can actually watch hd videos with no choppiness and play recent games with the settings turned up to high. Primarily got it for the hdmi out, and the audio was easy to set up with the included SPDIF cable.

Cons: First one came DOA, so I had to pay out of pocket to ship it back. I know Newegg does this since they don't manufacture the cards themselves, but it would be nice to not have to pay extra to have a DOA card replaced.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your psu is powerful enough to run this! I had a 600w with only 22a on a single 12v rail and my system wouldn't start, so I upgraded to an OCZ 600w with 2 25a 12v rails. Everything works great now!

3 out of 5 eggsEco version = underclocked!!!!!!!

Pros: Got it real cheap with free shipping and a mail in rebate. Super fast Newegg shipping, as always.
Plays most games maxed out at reasonable resolutions and with reasonable AA and AF.

Cons: When buying it, I thought it was a straight up GTS 250 with 1 gig of ram. Upon closer inspection and reading a couple online reviews, I noticed that THIS CARD IS UNDERCLOCKED!!!! The only reason they claim it is 'green' and label it as an 'eco' card is because they lowered the speeds of both the ram and core! Sneaky!!!!! You have to manually overclock it to get it back to stock speeds, but then there is a temperature issue. The fan looks all nice and whatever, but I guess since it doesn't exhaust heat, it spins up and becomes SUPER LOUD during gaming sessions.

Other Thoughts: Well, it's still a decent card I guess but I don't like being deceived. Shame on Zotac for that.

5 out of 5 eggsZotac 250 GTS 1GB

5 out of 5 eggsWorks just great :)

Pros: Definitely a step up from an 8800GT. Opted for the 1GB version because newer games have larger textures that need bigger sizes. Plays just about every game at ~100fps (Allods, TF2, Fallout 3, etc) on a x1200 resolution with 0xAA and 2x or 4xAF. Barely drops in FPS when turning on anaglyph mode (I don't have the shutter glasses). SLI ready, baby!

Cons: NOT 3-way SLI ready. My card runs hot - currently looking at 58c (normally about 51 but it's a hot day today), and I often see about 68c under load. I know it's not my case - system temp reports 36c, with my CPU at ~45c. Stock fan speed reports 25%, I always keep it at 40 though to keep temps down.

Other Thoughts: Got it at Fries, was on sale. I prefer "exhaust" style cooling, where it blows the air out the back, but money's money and a sale is a sale.

I almost understand why some cards don't have SLI available...but not really.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Card

Pros: Easy installation, compact size ( compared to other models) Lifetime warranty . Stays cool - Idles at 48 and haven't been able to push it past 58 degrees yet. A power-saving"Eco" model, but uses an 8 pin power plug and Zotac Firestorm overclock utility is included in the software disc.

Cons: None so far.
