5 out of 5 eggsGreat for its intended application

Pros: Price
CUDA capable
Low TDP (<49w)
Low Profile
Great folder per watt, solid HTPC card
Lifetime Limited Warranty

Cons: Could always be cheaper
heatsink extends a bit beyond a single slot

Other Thoughts: The rebate requires that you send in the UPC from the box. This will NOT affect the warranty in any way, as claimed below. The warranty is only void if you alter/remove the sticker(s) from the card. Disregard advice that states otherwise.

5 out of 5 eggsHTPC

Pros: Relatively quiet.
Comes out of standby properly while conntected through Yamaha AVR to LED tv.
Underscan/overcan settings actually stick.
Driver's dont need to be reinstalled randomly so video will play.
Performs great for HTPC tasks.
Video playback looks great.

Cons: No cons that I can find. Have not tried gaming ability .
Only nitpick might be that the backplate is kind of flimsy but that is common with half height cards.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace the onboard ATI 4250 video on my AMD 880 AM3 motherboard. I gave the ATI a chance against my better judgment, and won't do so again. The ATI would randomly require a driver reinstall just to play a DVD file, overscan settings would reset coming out of standby. Coming out of standby sometimes would not get any video (but sound through hdmi was heard?).

I have had none of these issues with this Nvidia card. I plugged it in, installed the drivers, set the underscan settings, and that is the last I've messed with it. Goes into and out of Standby perfectly now without issues.

Would recommend fully.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy to install

Pros: Fast free shipping, arrived before expected.

Graphics a lot better then my mobo GeForce 9300 mGPU. Driver on CD was up-to-date but went to and downloaded newest driver. Always check web for newest driver to help prevent or solve any problem. A newer driver might be released tomorrow, you never know, until you check.

Cons: Mail in Rebate says staple or cling your purchased video card UPC & S/N barcode label to mail in rebate sheet to qualify for the $15 MIR promotion.

Warranty coverage on SPARKLE graphics card products shall be VOID under the following conditions:
The SPARKLE graphics card product shows evidence of the serial/part number sticker(s) being altered, removed, replaced, or defaced.

They will send you $15 for the Mail in Rebate OR cover the video card by the Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Other Thoughts: A step that is not included in instructions if this is the first video card added to your mobo and there is an internal video card: After the video card is installed, enter BIOS. Enter Advanced Chipset Features. Change Init Display First from Onboard to PCIEx.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Card for Blu-ray HTPC

Pros: It's just works. Plugged it in and the sound and video came straight to life. It plays all of my Blu-rays with a Socket 478 P4 with out a hitch.

Cons: Updated drivers didn't work, had to use cd drivers

5 out of 5 eggsno issues

Pros: works without issue with latest linux driver from the nvidia site
got it on sale for $50

Cons: not a problem with the card, but i'll get much more out of this when adobe releases a 64-bit flash version with hardware acceleration

Other Thoughts: be aware that some linux distros do not package a recent enough nvidia driver version for this card

4 out of 5 eggsInexpensive solution

Pros: Runs quite, reasonably cool. Plays EvE Online w/16xAA no problems. 58°C with 2 clients and 2 monitors. Free shipping, got here in 3 business days.

Cons: Memory clock is apparently 600. yuck.

Other Thoughts: 3DMark Score 4437.0 3DMarks
SM2.0 Score 2027.0
HDR/SM3.0 Score 1754.0
Not a serious gaming card but priced as such.
