5 out of 5 eggsSparkle Sparkles!!!!

Pros: easy install driver that came on DVD worked flawlessly, however there was an update. I installed that update, card works perfectly.

Cons: Card isn't recognized, and as such shared memory is allocated, I have an older computer where its not possible to change that so I disabled it while in windows.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat "PCI Only" Option!!!

Pros: I have installed these cards into many different PC's that DO NOT have a "PCI-e" or "AGP" Expansion Slot for "Dedicated Video"!!!! All have worked great once you setup properly in the BIOS!!! The Passive Heatsink makes it quiet!!!

Cons: 1. The heatsink is rather big, make sure you DO NOT have anything occupying the PCI slot above it!!! Altho passive heatsink is quiet, it also seems that the card runs a lil warm at bout 62-67C in an small Optiplex and between 58-65C in larger Dimension Models
2. You can't watch YouTube on 1080p all that great..- it does playback 1080 Videos already loaded on PC, it is a bit "laggy" tho!! (720 runs nice)
3. Only Scores 2.7 on Win7 Desktop Rating and 4.1 Gaming Index (these are not gaming machines, more business style and training videos, so no big deal)

Other Thoughts: I would reccomend the 8400 Chipset to anyone running Older Onboard Intel Video, not only for upgrading to Win7, but just the general speedup of entire system!!! The models include various Business HP Compaq DC5700/DC5800 Models, Dell Dimension 2300/2400 & Optiplex 520/620...I have used in many others as well!!! Main reason for upgrading these PC's with such VideoCards is for the installation and use of Windows 7, since there onboard Intel Video is not supported for anything better then 8bit 640x480 Resolution in Win7!!! These Machines are obviously either OUTDATED or GETTING OLD and are NOT meant for newage gaming, but rather a Business upgrade or for general online Video Purposes!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for basic needs

Pros: -Very cheap
-PCI interface means it can work on pretty much any PC
-Built in HDMI port
-Low profile design to fit any case
-Very low power consumption

Cons: -256MB of VRAM
-Not a gaming card
-Because it uses PCI, the card is much slower then the PCI-E version

Other Thoughts: Today (2012) this card is obsolete. There are much better choices out there now a days but for what it's worth for HD playback and basic video editing. This card did the trick on an aging system.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't use for HTPC

Pros: quiet

Cons: do sound processing, need to us spdif connection if you want sound through hdmi. The cable doesn't come along and your motherboard or soundcard need to have spdif to use.

4 out of 5 eggsSome issues with standby in XP.

Pros: Increased video performance aiding in keeping a couple of old PCs useable for a little while longer. Made full-screen XviD playback watchable.

Cons: Probably way more power than either machine could actually utilize, as one is a Celeron 1.1 GHz and the other a Pentium 4 1.6Ghz (I think) so even SD MKV playback was still out of the question.

Had some issues with Windows XP not returning from standby mode after installing this card.

5 out of 5 eggsWindows 7 = YES

Pros: Works with windows 7 and XP Pro

Cons: It took me a few days to figuar it out.

Other Thoughts: Disabling the onboard video in device manager worked great for XP but not for Windows 7. I had to disable onboard video in the BIOS setup, and that turned out to be a pain, some one locked the BIOS and I could not access it until I reset the BIOS by switching a jumper on the motherboard, powering on and off and moving the jumper back.
