4 out of 5 eggscheap dencent

Pros: good video once i got it worked out pretty good price point scores well in the test i have run

Cons: first card i bought smolked when i installed it. newegg great on rma though not their fault second card worked but in vista 64 bit was pretty buggy newest nvidia drivers seems to have fixed that. software out of the box was pretty dated and no 64 bit support. also the card is freaking huge i have a full size case and it rubs against memory thouh not badly and i dont think i could get a second card in there

Other Thoughts: if you have a big case its pretty inexpensive

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT DEAL !

Pros: Works in my old computer and makes it much faster.

Cons: None!!

Other Thoughts: Works with 3500, 1 gig of ram and WD 80gig and asus mobo. I had to use the adapter cable to supply the 6 pin on the card. I use a 400w PS works great !

5 out of 5 eggsGood cards

Pros: 4 for 4 and none DOA. SLI works well. Open design allows for more efficient cooling from the case fans.

Cons: No issues so far.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: PRICE! Got it for $89, how could I not buy it? Used it in my first build and it has played everything so far on max seamlessly (although I haven't tried Crysis and highly demanding games like that yet). Also haven't had any temp problems so far, that I can tell anyway.

Cons: None really, a better heatsink/fan would've been nice but at this price I can't complain.

Other Thoughts: Wasn't sure about a brand called Sparkle and at this price wouldn't have been surprised if it was made of bamboo and rubber bands, but I have been pleasantly surprised.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Good Price, works great Physx works. Beats the hell out of my old 7300GT

Cons: Using this card in Single mode with Physxs on produces random artifacts and graphical glitchs

Other Thoughts: Can't tell just how fast it is since i'm using it in PCI-E 1.0 16x mode and not in the much faster 2.0 16x mode

2 out of 5 eggsUnstable

Pros: Works efficiently, when its not overheating and crashing. Raised my win7 graphical "windows experience score" from 3.9 to 5.9.

Cons: Overheats even with 4 fans on it and crashes my system once per hour while gaming.

Other Thoughts: At first, I was very pleased at how high I could set my graphical settings in all my favorite games. I soon learned however, that this card is very unstable and overheats often. I even have a fan-card installed directly underneath the GPU, as well as 3 other case fans. The heatsink on the card is horrible. I am running win7 with it with the latest drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsBest nVIDIA bang for bank ratio

Pros: Card is powerful enough to run WoW @ 60fps consistently. This is exactly the reason my client was upgrading from GeForce 7300 to 9800GT, therefore, with the client pleased, I am pleased.

Cons: It didn't make the client's Sempron any faster. *chuckle* It does the job, I guess.

Other Thoughts: Don't diss the manufacturer for their name, for the card makes games 'Sparkle'.

3 out of 5 eggsGood price, but overheats

Pros: A great price for a 9800GT. The performance does not disappoint. Played Fallout 3 with most settings maxed out, looked great, and good FPS

Cons: Terrible heatsink & fan. This card overheats quickly if you really put the pedal to th metal. The card has quit on me after about an hour of play at really high settings. The temp gets near 70 c.

Other Thoughts: Worth the price but make sure you replace the sink and fan with anything else here on newegg.. Anything is better than the stock.

4 out of 5 eggsCard works, but ugly heat sink...

Pros: Plugged it in, easy to install drivers, no issues with both windows xp pro SP3 and Vista Ultimate SP1 (dual boot setup). Watched a movie with it and it did the job well. Definitely worth it for the price...

Cons: Pictures on this card misrepresents the actual heat sink. Almost thought I go the 9600 shipped to me at first. Instead of the copper heat pipe and aluminum heat sink shown, what you'll likely get is what is on the 9600 cards (see item N82E16814187055). It is a cheap plastic mold cover and looks like a Power Ranger morpher (or from a 70's Kamen Rider show). Why couldn't they have made it black at least? Anyway, not really NewEgg's fault since this picture is posted on every site you search Sparkle 9800gt on so it must have been provdided from the manufacturer. Does it have an effect on overclocking? Don't know but if you plan on doing so an after market heat sink will likely be in your plans. I'm using the card for the kids' pc so I won't be OCing until it is necessary.
