Love it !!
- Pros: Fan is quite, big overclocker (at least for me), seems to run pretty cool temp wise. Plays Modern Warfare-2 with all the eye candy just about maxed at 1920X1080, and plenty of my other games. Using this card with a e7400 I managed to get to 4000GHz and a 1600fsb all on air. Awesome gaming box at a reasonable cost. Using it with Windows 7 and not one problem or conflict.
- Cons: None at all
- Other Thoughts: Two of these CrossFire'd at this pricing would be pretty cool I think. Especially with how much you could overclock the primary one if your an overclocker.
Bang For The Buck
- Pros: I dropped this into my game rig as a stop-gap until I can upgrade to a 5xxx grade card, so I could pull the SLI'd 7800GT's out for upgrading some other family computers. Excellent fit for that, overall performance is slightly better (shader effects much better) than those cards provided. Since you've got to jump up to a GF265 ($250+) to do the same trick with NVidia in a single card, I'm impressed.
- Cons: Without any cooling for the memory chips (not even fins), you're not going to want to be overclocking this card. Not worth a ding, just a point to watch.
- Other Thoughts: Any shader effects in most games are going to be designed with the much lower shader processor count of NVidia chips in mind, so you can go nuts with turning them on. Really adds some nice pop to the visuals.
GPU Memory DOA
- Pros: Great Price. Quick Delivery
- Cons: Kept getting a Driver failed and recovered error due to ATIKMDAG.sys. Come to find out after trying it on several systems running everything from XP Pro SP3 to Win7 64 bit on which other ATI cards in the same series worked that it was bad GPU memory on board. Or at least that is what the Geek that I go to thinks it is.
- Other Thoughts: Hope to get another card and that it works. If it does I will come back and write another review.
