3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This has been a good card My highest game thrown at it has been FC2, Vegas 2, and Fear montage, Left for Dead. All games play great and without any glitches.
Runs quiet and cool.

Cons: I give this product three eggs for the mear fact HIS approved my 20.00 rebate on august 23, 2009 it's now october 9th 2009 and have not recieved yet. Sorry New Egg but your an agent for the products you sell and this is unacceptable to have to wait so long for a rebate.
I feel your just as responsible for advertising this product along with the rebate to get a a sell.
I like the New Egg experience and love the format you have. But I cannot justify the wait for the price of the rebate which will cost you the retailer a final sell in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Easy and appears to be working nicely.

Cons: GIANORMOUS freaking thing. I thought I was going to have to buy a separate case just for this video card.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome card so far. It's running my dual 22" monitors without a hitch. Video is crisp. The rear cooling vent also really helps to keep heat out of the case by venting the heat off the GPU and memory out the back. Quiet fan.

Cons: none so far

5 out of 5 eggsI'm in love!

Pros: Runs very cool, looks sexy, and performs well above what I expected it to do!

Cons: I went from NVIDIA to AMD, so installing drivers wasn't very fun. Had to reinstall, but it was definitely worth it.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried overclocking it.

5 out of 5 eggscrossfired with a non iceq4turbo card

Pros: already owned a HIS 4850 (non-iceq4turbo) card OC to 690/1183 so clocked it to 650 to match this card. moved old card to top of tower with one open bay above it causing same affect to an extent both run around 48 degrees with a fan in my tower out (I have to re solder the wire) and all will be sweet.

Cons: NO FAN control in crossfire come on HIS help me out. you can do it.

Other Thoughts: could have been less expensive or free even, my favorite price.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome card

Pros: super cool, the huge heatsink and silent fan are very efficient in cooling this beast

overclocks like crazy!, oced GPU to 805 MHz and memory to 1175 MHz (with a voltmod hehe) super stable and cool, temp is 65C under load

going strong for about a year no need to get a 4870 or 5000 series cause up to now I haven't seen any game/program that uses 100% of it

Cons: it cost $179 when I got it

:*(

Other Thoughts: newegg rocks as always, super fast delivery and unbeatable prices

5 out of 5 eggsGood card for quiet systems

Pros: -At only 10% fan speed, runs consistently at 30 deg C over ambient at idle.
-Crysis Warhead is playable...on mainstream settings @ 1920 x 1200. Pretty good for a ~$100 card.
-Extremely quiet...I've got a very quiet system with excellent airflow (using a 65W CPU) and the fan on the video card only becomes audible around 80%. This would make a great HTPC card (if it fits inside smaller cases like that). It should be noted that the fan almost never needs to go much over 80%, no matter which game I play (this is based on playing nearly every RTS game on the market, L4D, Crysis, Bioshock, Oblivion, Fallout 3, & NWN 2, all at 1920x1200). At that fan speed, my temps hover around 50 C over ambient.

Cons: -Has temporarily locked up on a couple of occasions, neither time while gaming. I had Folding @ Home running both times using the card's cores (it comes bundled in ATI's software). Ever since quitting that, I haven't had the issue.

Other Thoughts: This is some of the info I wanted before I got the card but wasn't really in the reviews. Maybe it'll help someone.

I'm using Riva tuner to monitor temps and adjust the fan speed. It works flawlessly, but note that you cannot set Riva tuner up with DRIVER level control with this ATI card (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Therefore, it's just set up at user level control, but it works fine.

1 out of 5 eggsHad 2 of these DOA. Wouldn't buy again.

Pros: Supposed to be a great card for the money...if you can get one that works out of the box?

Cons: Received 1 from Newegg.com that was clocked only to 1ghz for the memory clock and gave white screens when trying to run anything 3d related. Returned it and now have a 2nd one from Newegg.com doing the exact same thing but this time the CPU clock pops up at 500mhz instead of 650mhz. I wouldn't recommend this card from HIS Tech. Find another 4850 card from another manufacture. Newegg seems to have a bad batch of these cards.

Other Thoughts: Had to return 2 of these cards and wouldn't recommend one again from HIS Tech.
