5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Runs many games at high/ultra settings. Titanfall and BF4 run great at Ultra/ High settings. Pretty cheap for the performance you get. I've owned the card for over a year and have had no problems whatsoever.

Cons: Its start showing some age, but what card doesn't after a year or two. Many new games you have to turn it down a notch.

Other Thoughts: I have been a big fan of XFX and the designs I have owned a XFX 5770 and a 6850 and both those cards were great and lasted long. Sadly I wont be able to keep upgrading my current build due to bottlenecking.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance

Pros: Used on a new budget build, running with an ASRock Z75 Pro3 and i5-3350P. Works great. Haven't taken it to the max yet but it doesn't flinch with Steelbeasts v3 and FSX, with FSX's settings to the max. I have plans to take it further to the edge...

Cons: Has two 6-pin PCI-E power jacks, and I had to get a connector adapter because my PSU only had one 6-pin jack.

It is also a sizable unit and the fans point down. It fits fine on my build but you'll want to avoid having any PCI cards below it or the airflow could get impeded.

Used rebate card but price could still be lower. Radeon is on to a new video card lineup, so this series ought to be at bargain basement prices.

Other Thoughts: Closely considered this against the new R7 and R9s. It appears that the R9 270X and this card are very similar and have the same silicon inside, so I figured I could get almost all of the performance at a discount by going with the HD 7870. So far no regret and enjoying the cash I saved.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Great card, great price! Got it for 200$ and I'm very pleased. It was not DOA. I only really play LoL, Americas Army, Minecraft, and I just got PayDay 2. Seems to run everything amazingly.

Cons: Can't Crossfire 3....

Other Thoughts: This is my second XFX card and I'm very pleased with it.
I've never had a problem with their cards.
I'm about to start another build with 3 cards and was looking forward to using the 7870's but will probably use the 7970's now.
I would recommend XFX to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggsBlue screen and overheats.

Pros: I've just got it and it's ran everything on ultra with no lags/skips. Good card overall.

5 out of 5 eggs7870 Tahiti

Pros: So the card is awesome, but I for some reason received the Tahiti Le version of the card. With the 8 pin power connector and 6 pin. It's suppose to be faster than the normal 7870. Anyways the card is great, I'm just guessing there was a mix up. Because the box itself is exactly the same as the normal 7870.

Cons: Runs a bit hot, but it's to be expected with the Tahiti Le chip inside.

Other Thoughts: Great card

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! Some of these cards were given Tahiti's. if you have any issues with XFIRE, let us know and we may be able to switch it back to a pitcarin.

5 out of 5 eggsXFX Radeon Hd 7870

Pros: Looks amazing, runs smoothly, havent had a single problem with it. Runs everything i have been playing with relative ease (noticed i had to turn down AA on metro last light, but still plays smoothly maxed out minus the AA) and thats with just ONE. Thinking about grabbing another soon for crossfire. Love the fact that if anything should EVER go wrong, XFX will replace it.

Cons: Didn't come with a case badge, would have been nice to be able to post it up on the case to represent XFX.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your case will have room for this. It is a large card (as most better cards are) and will take up some room. I had no issue with this as my case has plenty of room to add another, but just putting it in so other's know just in case :)

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! If you would like your XFX Case badge, just shoot us an email.

3 out of 5 eggsVideo quality is amazing but....the Fan

Pros: The card is good, runs games well

Cons: Only issue i have with this card is the fan makes a rattling noise, starts around 45-50% fan speed and stays there, this is while i am playing a game ( any game Far Cry 3, Diablo RoS, PlanetSide2, among 6 others).

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we're sorry you are having issues with your fan. If you would like a replacement, please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.

5 out of 5 eggsXfX Double D 7870 2GB

Pros: It's a 7870 running at stock 1ghz with room to overclock if you so desire. It has an above average cooling system for those who may need extra cooling. For 1080P it will play everything pretty much on High or Ultra at stock speed. It was a nice upgrade from my 7770 which stuttered at times. I was worried this card would be loud it is not loud.

Cons: An R9 270 is the same card i believe but it has true audio and a light speed bump.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great card, operates very cool under stock clocks. Overclocking is easy using the built in AMD overclocking tool. Plays almost all games at highest settings at avg 55fps.

Cons: Only two DSPs so for more than 2 monitors you need an active adapter

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the postive review. If you have any questions, please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.
