5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: I've had this card for a little over a year now... And let me tell you... It's amazing. Runs every game I throw at it at max settings and resolution with ease. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 runs at approximately ----91 FPS---- at all times... Drops occasionally when running an addon such as Fraps to record video, in which case it usually doesn't drop below 60. Got a 7.6 rating on Windows 7. I'd give it a 10.0.

Cons: Heat is the only issue.... It runs hot to the touch, and can make a bedroom quite unbearable with the door shut in a matter of 15 minutes of gaming (Runs cool when it's not being used for gaming, however).

Other Thoughts: I'd highly suggest this card to anyone that wants to take their gaming experience to the next level. It was definitely worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of Bang for the Buck

Pros: This card is very beefy for its price! It's handled any game I could throw at it in full-detail with no graphics lag at all. I'm very pleased with its performance.

Cons: The fan has been an issue for me. It rattled loudly when under 48% speed, but when I manually set it above 49%, the whir was simply too loud for an "idle" speed to be bearable. The whir noise can be a deterrent for some people, and to these I'd recommend simply investing in a quieter card.

Other Thoughts: I eventually found a fix to the fan rattle (which seems to be a problem in only some cards). I took the GPU out of my case and spun it with my finger--it rattled even at that low speed. So I fiddled with the power cord--pushing it in or pulling it out a few mm--until it didn't rattle. Now I'm running it on auto at about 33% idle with almost no sound at all! If yours is rattling, try this before disowning the card.

4 out of 5 eggsOne Of The Most Powerful Cards For Under $200!!

Pros: Super Powerful, Super Fast, Overclocks like a champion!! Currently I am running this card at the max settings allowed by ATI Catalyst. I have a 1GHZ CORE CLOCK AND 1200MHZ MEMORY!! This card can completely max out any game I have thrown at it so far with excellent framerates. This card beats most of the 5000 series cards in raw power.

Cons: This card runs HOT, HOT, HOTT!!! Make sure you have a case with really good airflow. This is not a reccomendation but a requirement unless you want to severely shorten the life span of your card and every other component in your pc. Doesn't play DX11 but u know that when u buy it.

Other Thoughts: if you want a powerful card for less $ get this guy. Get the Asus version of this card it has Asus bios with a special tool known as "Smart Doctor" that lets you adjust the voltage for better OC's.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Plays GTA IV a lot better than my old 4830

Cons: Not as fast as a 5870...no Dx11...getting the warranty info filled out on XFX's website was pure joy...nahhh...gotta register within 30 days

Other Thoughts: register register register at least thats how many times it took me before it showed up on their website

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Was never able to get it running.

Cons: Card was DOA, should have read through the comments section before ordering. QC problems of this magnitude are unacceptable in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was very fast and efficient with the refund process (full refund in store credit). Have now purchased the EVGA GTX 260 OC, slightly less performance but at least it will work when it gets here!

4 out of 5 eggsNice card, but broke

Pros: First of all, I had the Sapphire version.

When the card worked, it worked GREAT. It was my first high end video card and I was extremely happy. Playing most games at 1920x1080 in full HD and Crysis at 1440x900 on High-ISH settings. Not a card flaw, my CPU just bottlenecks my machine.

Cons: Gets VERY hot. Not quite as hot as the new Fermi cards, but still hot.

Not sure exactly what happened to my card, but I read it at 76 degrees celsius when it was shutting off my computer. I decided to go ahead and send it back. Newegg was not able to send me another card, due to supply problems. However, they were able to process me a FULL REFUND of the original purchase price which took a little over a week to complete. Thanks Newegg!

Other Thoughts: It's a nice card, but not sure if it can take the heat. Granted, my case (XClio WindTunnel) has very good air cooling... it just didn't appear to be enough... or I just had a faulty card.

For the price, it was awesome. I was happy with it.

2 out of 5 eggsNOT THE XFX version

Pros: its run MOST modern games on highest settings well when it works

THATS ABOUT IT

Cons: first off i got the MSI card of the 4890 but didnt see it on here and the badging only makes a small diff...

1)i did my research between ati and nvidia and went for the most bang for the buck...learned my lesson...games that work work great...when they dont hope the game auto saves every 2 min

2)i actually got tempted to write this review while trying to install the most recent ATI drivers as of june 5...i just get the spinning wheel of death with the installer/program not responding even with mult reboots/i use drive sweeper in safe mode to remove old remnants of prev drivers and its 64 bit win 7

3)its seems ATI is a step behind games...say game A comes out...drivers A crash playing game a...game B comes about...drivers b are released to make game A work semi right and game B might still suck with same drivers...theres also a chance it might work well...i go from being able to play mass effect/splinter cell conv/blur on highest settings only limited by the 1080p monito

Other Thoughts: then i get games like arkham asylum/dragon age/just cause 2/alpha protocol/metro 2033/borderlands to crash from bootup to so randomly that i can play some for hours and display goes out to others playing a few min and screen goes black. im done with ATI and anyone paying money for a highend card might as well spend same amt for a little lower performing nvidia card that works all the time instead of paying for a much better spec'd ati card that works that way most of the time.

5 out of 5 eggsPrice a little steep, but good card

Pros: Delivers on its promises. Cooling system on card is decent: No liquid cooling but not just an el cheapo piece of spinning plastic like some other cards

Cons: This card is essentially a souped-up 4870, and I feel the price jump is a little high for just some minor upgrades. Also, it is a large card- in length and width. It extends somewhat behind the slot and takes two slots (for the exhaust of the card), so plan accordingly.

Other Thoughts: Would have stuck with 4870 if any decent manufacturer were still making it. Though all things considered, it's a nice card and the cons are pretty minor. Get the card and you won't be disappointed

2 out of 5 eggsSo awesome.....almost

Pros: Runs everything i play at highest settings perfectly. Almost zero issues and fan speed isnt that loud.

Cons: My only and biggest issue with this card is that when i try to watch something in 1080p the video card completely crashes, reboots itself and runs everything at about 5 frames a second.

Other Thoughts: Great card except for the HD problem. I will attempt to RMA it so lets see what happens.

4 out of 5 eggsHappy with card

Pros: I was a little concerned with all the negative hype around the XFX 4800 series, but I was relieved when the card install went well and the screen poped with glorious HD goodness. The fan is definitely noticable when I start a game, but in my cooler master Scout, its not that noticeable.

Cons: Fan is somewhat loud at full load.

Other Thoughts: Runs cooler at idle than my old BFG 9600gt. Got a 15786 on 3Dmark 06 with a unlocked/OC Phenom II X3(4) 3.2ghz, 4gig 1333 ddr3.
