5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Great card for an old system. I've had mine for a year now and I'd recommend this card to anyone who is still unfortunate enough to have a pc using AGP8X.

Cons: My only problem is one of the DVI connectors is loose on the board. So sometimes after traveling with my pc, reconnecting my second monitor is a bit tricky. Also on the same connector one of the screw adapters has come off.

Other Thoughts: Probably give this rig to my folks as soon as I upgrade to a new system. Should suit them just fine. I can play most games at acceptable frame rates. Bioshock, Fallout, Oblivion, Need for speed. Great card. Worth the money if you can't afford a new upgrade any time in the near future.

4 out of 5 eggsTrouble at first... awsome now.

Pros: Once we got it installed and running, its doing great on my old Dell Deminsion 8300. Thought it was time to get rid of it, but I think we can get some more time out of it thanks to this card. Needed it for World of Warcraft Cataclysm, fps still about 20 in stormwind but Im thinking the 1 gig of system ram i have right now is part of that problem. gonna upgrade that, ordering more tonight, hehe. Its definitly playable now tho, upgraded from an Nvidia 256mb fx5500 or 5800, cant remember now.

Cons: Ran into a problem when installing this card. After plugging it in and windows boots up, when it starts finding new hardware and loading drivers for them, it starts loading Microsoft UAA High Definition Audio Device and just hangs on that. CPU usage jumps to 100% and cant run anything. after a few reboots and and letting it sit for 30 minutes to see if anything loads, nothing was working. Well, after reading around a bit and asking on Yahoo Answers, someone responded, with old card installed, goto:
c:\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\hdaudbus.sys
Right click on hdaudbus.sys
Rename to hdaudbus.old

After doing that, i reinstalled this new card, booted up, and no problems. up and running now. Since this card is an HD card, it wants to load HD audio drivers also for 1 cable output... im guessing it conflicted with my soundblaster or something.

Other Thoughts: Thank you internet.

Pros: Shipping was quick

Cons: Card was defective. Would not download drivers. Went to the web site and downloaded the hot fix patch. Still did not work so I took it in to a repair place and they determined the card was defective.

Other Thoughts: Not happy with paying for shipping and having the problems.

5 out of 5 eggsone gig AGP vid card! Right on!

Pros: One gig agp. Runs EvE online at the highest settings and it looks great on the SyncMaster T240hd!!

Cons: Had some VPU recover errors at first, but read some of the other reviews and got it sorted quickly. Bios needed to be updated and downloaded the hotfix drivers for agp from the website. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: At this price I'm completly satisfied. My old Abit AS8 mb is now awesome again. Woot!

5 out of 5 eggsBest AGP Card I've ever had - But might be my last :(

Pros: Easy install! Breathed new life into my aging Desktop! Can actually play more of the graphically intensive games out there (but not all). Make sure you have a good CPU and RAM maxed to really take full advantage of this card. Also make sure you get the hotfix from either XFX or Ati for AGP cards FIRST.

Cons: None so far with this card. My only gripe is that AGP standard is hitting legacy mode and it's getting harder to find support and components that are this old and/or support this standard.

Other Thoughts: Current desktop is an HP Business CMT d530 (EoL from wife's workplace)
Intel P4 3.0Ghz HyperThreading enabled 800Mhz
2.5Gig Ram
Windows XP Home Ed. SP 3

5 out of 5 eggsRadeon still does AGP for us!

Pros: Had a NewEgg XFX NV 6200 card on the shelf for two years with a "double lifetime warranty." I finally dragged it out and installed it just a couple of months ago. It wouldn't sleep correctly. Sent it to XFX under warranty and they sent me this Radeon instead of another NV. At first I was ticked but I realize now they did me a gigantic favor. Lots of 6200 NV's have sleep problems. Also, it seems NV has abandoned the AGP interface since those 6200's in 2006 and they just don't keep up with today's needs. But, thanks to ATI Radeon, AGP computers have a fighting chance in Windows 7. It supports hi-def video. It supports DirectX 10. It has drivers for WinXP and later. Once I found the Catalyst "hot fix" version of the driver, all is seamless and perfect. I am a Radeon convert.

Cons: I suspect I got into Radeon at the right time. I had driver problems in Windows 7 until I came across the "hotfix" version of the 10.9 Catalyst Control Center driver set. It looks like people really had driver troubles during the first part of 2010--especially with Windows 7. I think it's better now. I ran the installer for the complete Catalyst Control Center but unless I chose the "hotfix" version, the installer only put the "installer manager" on my system. Only the "hotfix" version of the installer would actually put the driver and the control center in this Win7 configuration.

Other Thoughts: This card has two DVI-D Dual-Link monitor connectors. (Try to get dual link capable connectors in order to enjoy full hi-res output.) I have one monitor connected using the all digital connections. Strange, but, if I choose certain resolutions, my screen will only be partially filled. It wasn't until I played around a bit that I discovered that if a resolution choice only partially filled the screen, I could make it fill the screen by trying to change from 32bit color to 16 bit color. Then, the screen would flash, my chosen resolution would now fill the entire screen, and it would revert back to 32bit color anyway. I also discovered that if Windows alerted that a chosen resolution would make some things move off the screen and be unavailable, it would a good idea to just ignore the warning and try it anyway because there were no problems. Even 800 x 600 works on my native 1680x1050 22 inch monitor using the digital connection and the 10.9 hotfix catalyst drivers.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy guide for quick install and downloading drivers online. Up and running in half an hour. Better performance than my old one by far. Great with the twin flatscreens I have.

Cons: I liked it so much I thought I would give it a try in another computer. This one is an HP and had a few issues on the install but worked them out.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Upgrade

Pros: Upgraded from a Radeon 9800XT that had died on me. The HD3000 series was sold out, so I purchased this one.

Works great in an older Dell Dimension 8300 w/ 300 watt PSU.
Gigantic improvement in games and general graphics rendering/snappiness.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I was running an old ATI Rage pro 16Mb video card in the interim before I installed this card. I thought I had problems when the card didn't perform as well as my old 9800XT did.

Cleaned up the old drivers, cleaned up my registry, and installed the latest drivers from ATI. Now runs beautifully!
