4 out of 5 eggsXFX is awesome

Pros: Great Card

Cons: A little hot

Other Thoughts: I got this as a warranty replacement for a 8800gs and let me tell you that despite what others say XFX's warranty and RMA service is AMAZING. Its sad to see people get mad that XFX is sceptical about warrantying their card when they don't even register it, cmon it takes 2 minutes. All I can say is there have been 2 incidents where I have dealt with XFX support and both times they went far beyond my expectations. Top notch support!

1 out of 5 eggsTotally bogus lifetime warranty....

Pros: great cards. works great until it breaks then all hell when trying to get this thing replaced by their ployed "lifetime" warranty which is bogus!

Cons: worst warranty policy ever.. crooks if you ask me. had card that went bad, then contacted their helpdesk to get ticket number. the response was that I had to register online within the first 30 days to get the lifetime warranty... WHAT! where the heck does it say that? nowhere does it say anything about having to register the product on their website to get the warranty. I finally registered online and since it's been outside the initial 30 days of purchase, it only comes with a 1 year warranty and it's been over a year so i'm ripped off by XFX.

Other Thoughts: I noticed right after I registered the card, I started to get spam emails in my box.... wow! talk about kicking your customers in the teeth while they're down XFX!

Never again will I spend a cent on xfx products ever again.

1 out of 5 eggsGood card until you need to RMA with XFX

Pros: Worked and loads well, good value card. Fast delivery from Newegg. Works when they work.

Cons: XFX has terrible RMA procedures and does not honor Newegg invoices. Choose a manufacturer who cares about their customers!!

Other Thoughts: XFX makes tons of excuses and refuses to acknowledge your purchase even after you register your serial # on their site. I sent copies of Newegg's invoices for 2 cards I purchased and they still do not honor or RMA their products.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect card for the price

Pros: Has run everything I own at at least decent graphics quality and high resolution for a year and a half.

Cons: How it is built the fan is on the bottom, meaning that it isn't circulating the air into the heart of my case. It runs a tad hot, but there's been no performance drop to speak of.

Other Thoughts: How well it plays some modern games at very playable rates:
Battlefield Bad Company 2: Low graphics at 1920x1080 or medium graphics 1600x900
Borderlands: Mid graphics 1920x1080 or highest on 1600x900
Unreal Tournament 3: Highest at 1920x1080, period
Red Faction Guerrilla: High at 1920x1080 no AA
X-Plane 9: High graphics at 1920x1080
Crysis: Mid graphics at 1920x1080

Going to use this with my new rig too for about another year when I will upgrade to probably a 5870.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: -Runs cool and efficiently. I can run Crysis at high settings in 1920 x 1080 resolution with only the occasional stutter.
-Had the fan blocked for about 6 months and thought that the card was just inefficient when it came to heat, it didn't burn out despite hitting 104 celsius frequently during gaming which is 1 degree below the max specifications.
-Runs reasonably cool when the fan is not blocked. (54 degrees celsius on idle and no higher than 78 on a full load.)

Cons: -Fan blows into the case instead of out the back.
-If you aren't paying attention (like I apparently wasn't) you can easily block the fan with a card in a nearby slot.
-This one isn't so much a con as it is a warning, this card is BIG I have a large case and only had about an inch of clearance between the 9800 and the cage where my DVD burner is located.

Other Thoughts: Highly reliable and apparently a tough card. Runs efficiently and not too hot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: I have had no problems with my graphics card. I bought this one to get a better experience with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Just by upgrading my Graphics Card my rating went from 2 all the way up to 6. I would buy this card again.

Cons: The only thing I have against this card is the fact that it doesnt shoot the air out of the back of the case but I have 2 120mm fans plus and 80mm fan that keeps my computer in the 50 degrees range no matter how long its on.

Other Thoughts: I am running this card combined with:
850W XClio SablePower Power supply,
ECS Black Edition Mobo,
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66GHz,
320GB Western Digital Blue HD,
and a Sony DVD+/-RW drive.
I can play any game that has come out of the market today and not have to worry about loading screens or any kind of lag unless I play online due to the servers getting packed down.

4 out of 5 eggsReally great. And hot. When it works

Pros: Great card. Max settings on my 17" CRT in most games (excluding Crysis of course). 1280 by 1024. Does a really nice uniform overclock of about 16%. 600MHz to 700MHz on the Core clock. Does nice work on the video encoding. a 700MB .avi movie takes like 10-30 minutes to transcode into a format for my iPod Touch using Badaboom.

Cons: Hot. Hot. Hot. Even idling with the fan at 2500RPM, I get a steady 60C... Worse on load... Reaches the low 80s... Worried me so much I changed the thermal paste. Twice. Finally died in February. International RMA support sucks.

Other Thoughts: XFX should really go for some R&D to improve their coolers. Pure copper is good. In theory that is. Another thing is improving their international RMA support. I tried to send it in but for some reason, the distributor in Malaysia wouldn't accept the thing.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card runs great on a normal system! It can pretty much handle any game on high setting. I have tried L4D2,Crysis (not all high setting), and COD:MW2 on high setting. This card ran like a charm its first time and it's overclockable.

Cons: The temperature does get pretty hot if you don't have enough fans in your system. This card is well over 8 inches so you might wanna check if your case is big enough to handle this card.

Other Thoughts: I have had this card for 2 years now and it just stopped working a couple of days ago. I guessed i overclocked it too much and left my computer running too long and i guess it fried. It won't work anymore. I can't even turn on my computer.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price

Pros: Pretty powerfull for the price, doesn't need it's own power supply connection if your running on a 400ish watt PS. Was a great upgrade from an 8500GT.

Cons: Have to keep the shadow setting in WoW on 3 or you will get low frames in Dalaran (could also have something to do with the Athlon 3800+ dual core). Handles everything else in WOW on full settings and 1920x1080 8x multi.

Other Thoughts: I got a 9800 GTX and my wife had a 8500GT so I really didn't want too much jealousy going on and got her this card. Doesn't need an extra power connection which is nice with her ancient build, can't push as much as my 9800 GTX, but isn't insanely far behind.
