1 out of 5 eggscoulda woulda

Pros: None for me

Cons: none for me

Other Thoughts: Bought this seeing thinking it was 4X AGP but when I checked Power color web site it showed it to be 8X AGP.

contacted Power color tech support to see if it would work with 4X never heard back, sent card back unopened
newegg was quick with the RMA.

after I sent it back I asked the same question on the evga forums and a mod. got back to me in less than 10 minutes, seems the card will work in 4X but at a slower speed.

Manufacturer Response:

Our 8X AGP cards are backwards compatible with 4X.

4 out of 5 eggsCAUTION

Pros: I works well with the right drivers in windows xp and previous. Once I figured out the compatibility problems It works well under good graphic loads. And still causes my processor to be the bottleneck. Overall this seems like the proper fix for my previous burned out GPU. Running Windows 2000 currently. See below as to why.

Cons: However, I've been tinkering with it working with windows vista for some time now. and after a lot of extensive readings and similar problems. I found my SIS integrated AGP system is not compatible with running windows vista. From what I can tell this is because the GPU can run aero, but not through my SIS AGP bridge because SIS does not have a current driver for windows VISTA. SO just a word of caution if you're buying this AGP unit for your SIS system and planning on running vista, because as of right now it won't work until SIS updates their driver to support vista.

Other Thoughts: I uninstalled windows Vista and installed windows 2000, a big step back. But I would rather run my outdated system with some capability than none at all when dealing with graphics. From what I could tell though, SIS did have an updated SIS AGP bridge driver for XP so luckly this card can support from windows 2000 to windows vista.

4 out of 5 eggsBrought life to an old Compaq 6000 series PC.

Pros: Worked out of the box, updated to the lastest Catalyst driver set and better frame rates. Plays Left 4 Dead and other Half-Life Source games on the lower settings. Enough for my son's sake ;-p
Works well w/ an old Compaq 6000 series pc with the latest bios [ver 3.04] for the 0784h motherboard. I also upgraded the mem to 2 gigs. Now the bottleneck is the proc! 1.6 willamette P4 on Win XP.

Cons: None for the price and lifespan of AGP?

Other Thoughts: I've also been dual booting into Windows 7 to test this low end system and it works with the same driver set!

1 out of 5 eggsDefective GPU

Pros: Seems like it would be a good graphcs card

Cons: Computer would crash a couple minutes after logging into windows Vista Business, screen would freeze, static, then blue screen of death for an error in newly installed hardware. Even under the lowest settings in bios at 4x it logs into vista, at 8x it crashes before even entering Vista. Have to pay for shipping that I think shouldln't have happened in the first place. Very dissappointed.

Other Thoughts: updated Motherboard Bios before this and another agp graphics card doesn't crash my computer. So I know it's not my motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsBrought my P4 TO LIFE!

Pros: Hey guys, I bought this card just on tuesday night, and it came the next day on morning!!!!!!!!!?!!?!? ridiculous fast delivery with only standard shipping. Anyways, the card is sturdy and nicely made, expected from ati, also looks cool and fits great! Runs games, nice and crisp with cool graphics, installs fast to. Even your mom could prob install it!

Cons: A bit noisy, and runs just a tad hot.

Other Thoughts: Great card big change from my sis integrated card, it sure showed that card off o.o

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very crisp graphics. Better I believe than my 7600GT. Runs older games like COD on highest settings without any hiccups or lag(4x mode). Great card for an older system.

Cons: Flaky sowtware. Both, from supplied DVD and ATI site.

Other Thoughts: This is the 3rd time I've tried ATI. Everytime I am pleased with the graphics but dissapointed with the software. I have never had a single problem with any of my Nvidia drivers or software. They could probably win me over if they perfect thier software. (Thus the 3 stars, would have been five if the software was better.)

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Not much to say other than, hey its still working. Had to buy a AGP interface video card b/c of the outdated motherb. Runs well on all the programs i use, and on basic games i really just keep video setting on defaults. Very good choice for an older computer vpu upgrade.

Cons: None really, hasnt crapped out on me yet.

Other Thoughts: Not much better for the price, decent visual appearance, fan works well.
