Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.

Drivers went in with no problems. +Great frame rates in games. (Almost all maxxed out) (world of tanks, EVE, Tomb Raider, Portal, Starcraft2, Hawken, Battlefiled 3) +game play is nice and smooth Cons: I don't like the way the PCI power plugs are stacked on it. Would rather have them side my side so I can take them off in whatever order I want. Not a big deal really. (the bottom power is hard to removed without removeing the top first) -another issue I have with it is the EVGA precision X does not seem to overclock the card as much as MSI afterburner. Even with the same clocks. Might just be me though. -the fan is LOUD at full. Make my computer sound like it's going to lift right off the desk. Other Thoughts: I've over clocked the card +327 on the mem, and +75 on the core. Under load the card does not get hotter then 60'C -65'c usually. Though it does get a bit of airflow with 2 fans providing fresh air. (31' at idle.) Pros: Price when purchased Gained a full point in Windows system rating(to 7.9) Cons: None Other Thoughts: Can't beat EVGA. The only brand I will buy from here on out when it comes to video cards. I bought an EVGA 9800GTX in 2009 from Newegg and it was still performing above and beyond when I bought this card. I only upgraded to get full HDMI comparability. Cons: Sigh not sure where to start here. This is more of a strike against Nvidia and not Newegg as they have always been great. I'm am perplexed how my old ATI Radeon HD 5970 which is close to 3 generations old now outperforms this card it's mind blowing. I mean I'll just use Guild Wars 2 as an example. Max settings (I mean maxed on the amdccc as well) I would not get a stutter for normal things like mouse look panning the environment with the 5970. However with this card stutters constantly with low frame rates it's sad. Other Thoughts: While I realize this may be a miscalculation on my behalf but the 680 specs aren't that off from this card only thing that makes sense from here is a 690 which really makes no sense in getting might as well just get the Titan. I don't see how Nvidia justifies their prices with results like this it's insanity and I'm a Nvidia fan I just don't get it.
