2 out of 5 eggsDied before a year....

Pros: Very good GPU, ran fine and played EVERYTHING!

Cons: Been having off and on problems with it since I got it, it has been doing fine for months and now it seems like I am having issues with it nearing the 1 year mark, very displeased...

Other Thoughts: Great card, but be warned....

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsIf you want a paper weight BUY BUY BUY!

Pros: Ran smooth with great fps when it worked.

Cons: Worked for 3 months then became a paper weight.

Other Thoughts: Worked for 3 months then crashed. Blue screens, computer freezing, artifacts. Never overclocked or touched the settings at all. Did mild game play nothing extreme. So tried new drivers, nothing. Tried contacting EVGA and they said to ship it in because the tests I performed for them meant the card was bad. So I went to usps and ship it good packaging and all so it would be safe. A day later they said I damaged it and sent me a pic of the card having a scratch on it even though it was brand new and never touched other than the install and removal. Then told me to pay $200 for a new one and basically told me my warranty is pointless. Contacted newegg and got the same chat about my warranty being piointless (yes I even paid newegg extra for the extended warranty) and now Im stuck with a paper weight. Never buying EVGA products again and wont refer them to anyone. Luckily Ive had great service with newegg otherwise Id stop doing business with them also. Now I see why this card is discontinued...

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I apologize for the problems you have had with the card. Unfortunately, damage or scratches on the PCB of a card cannot be repaired. It is because of this that physical damage is not covered under the warranty of the products. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you,
Brandon B

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very Fast
Easy to install
Works well with my Rig

Cons: High Amp consumption that was not listed

Other Thoughts: I had a 700W power supply in my current setup that support 32 amps on the rail. I blew my PS in 10 minutes on my first game. After doing some more research I found the estimate amp draw was 37 amps for this card. I replaced my PS with an 80 amp one and its been running great ever since. Just make sure you have enough amp in your PS to support this card. It also takes both an 8 pin and 6 pin pci power hookup so make sure you have both of those as well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Quiet, fast, incredible graphics. I was concerned switching from my sli gts 240's but so glad I did: this card is half as quiet and twice more powerful. It all comes down to diodes, with any components, and here you get 320 memory interface: hard to find that at a good price.

Cons: I bought it for $180 on Thanksgiving weekend; the price went up alot.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb graphics cards!

Pros: Excellent performance for the price!
These cards are separated from other 560Ti's in that they have the additional 448 cores BUT also because of their PCB layout design is that of the 580's. This means the power delivery system is superior!
I have a pair of these cards and I've yet to have a game that stresses the cards to their max. BF3, Skyrim, Borderlands 2, even Crysis 1&2 and Metro 2033 are displayed at 1200p in over 60fps.

Cons: Just because a card can supply tons of power doesn't always make it a good thing. These cards can get hot quick, and with that means their fans start to whirl up like cyclones.
I'm not a big fan of eVGA's cooling solutions as my 470's did exactly the same thing. Good thing these have the 580 PCB which means aftermarket coolers work as well as some waterblocks.

Other Thoughts: Looking back I'd say these cards have performed extremely well and I'm really glad I purchased them. Their performance is better than some GTX 570's and their design is superior. Great cards here!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Fast! nVidia!

Cons: Big, doesn't magically upgrade itself when nvidia releases something better!

Other Thoughts: Used it to build a new machine. Installed easily and worked on the first try. All my games look great!

5 out of 5 eggsMan what a deal.

Pros: This was a great buy. I get absolutely no lag, or burps on any game I've played so far on the highest settings. A shame it's discontinued. For 180 bucks this video card is amazing, I couldn't have wished for more.

Cons: Didn't fit on my expansion slot very well....I can partially blame that on my motherboard I suppose.

5 out of 5 eggslove it!

Pros: I swapped out my dual GTX 9800s with this single card... LOVE IT... I can tell a difference. Mechwarrior Online plays much more smoothly, my Windows Exp score is higher (which, who cares normally, but it actually SEEMS better)... just love the card...

Cons: not really a con, just a warning - if you have an old power supply, you will probably need adapters... these take two 6-pin connections, my older PS had an 8-pin and a 6-pin, not two 6s

Other Thoughts: awesome card... well worth the money

3 out of 5 eggsDesign Flaw

Pros: EVGA has friendly US based technical support that speaks excellent English. Within first 30 days RMAs are for a new unit (rather than refurbished) and shipping is paid for in both directions.

Cons: The card failed to work properly when placed under full load. It would constantly switch between full and half clock speeds making the performance poor and video not fluid. After several calls with tech support they decided to do an RMA. The replacement card behaved exactly the same way. They could do nothing for me other than offer another RMA. Obviously this card has a design flaw, see other thoughts to find out what it is.

Other Thoughts: This model of card is overclocked from the factory, and it appears that EVGA got a bit too aggressive with their settings. In particular, the voltages. Using their EVGA Precision software I was able to drop the voltages until the card finally started running well. Once the voltage was at a stable level, I was able to safely get another 50MHz out of the GPU and 100MHz out of the Memory. I would have much rather had a card I could just plug in and work right out of the box rather than having to mess with the settings and tweak it. To keep these custom settings, I must run EVGA Precision in the background constantly, which also means I must run Windows, since that is what EVGA Precision is written to run on. In the end I have a card that runs well on Windows and was a good price for the performance, but I had to deduct two eggs for the hassles of multiple calls to tech support, the hassle of an RMA for no good reason, and needing to run a utility in the background to make the card perform correctly.

5 out of 5 eggsKiller Card

Pros: This was my first graphics card purchase. With the holiday deals and the mail-in-rebate it is easily one of the best purchases I've made for my computer.

-Installation was a breeze.
-Includes mini-HDMI to HDMI cord
-Drivers loaded flawlessly
-Quiet
-Great graphics, of course.

Cons: Make sure your case can fit this card. It is quite large.

Other Thoughts: Too bad it's discontinued.
