5 out of 5 eggsGreat video card

Pros: This card plays Eve online, World of Warcraft, tf2, XCOM, and Diablo 3 on max settings. I hardly ever see any video lag or tearing. I use 2 x 23" wide screen monitors powered by DVI cables. This card handles them both well with no issues. This plays everything I've thrown at it with great results for over a year now. I have 2 of them in 2 separate pc's- both are great.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy if you can find it

Pros: I have had this card for over a year now, never had a problem. Card is not to load and runs everything I have thrown at it with out an issue.

Cons: The only con I have for this card is that it is hard to find. I am trying to get a 2nd one for SLI.

5 out of 5 eggsOut of Stock? No WONDER..!!

Pros: Great card, decent price, and it ROCKS..!! My daughter wants a second one for SLI (and up to X3 on her mobo) so she can way-out-do her two friends that have one of these. If you go with a newer card you will, of course, pay a bit more, but might not see much difference at this time. This card is, in my opinion, a good balancing point between "absolute-hard-core-extreme" and "affordable, beat-the-socks-off your friend's machine" video cards. Get one (or more) if you can find them..!!!

Cons: Currently hard to find in-stock if you want to SLI, or simply want to buy just one. I think a lot of people are trying to buy these cards, so they are hard to get.

Other Thoughts: I have told many of my friends about this video card, and many want one or more. This includes professional IT folks..!!

1 out of 5 eggsNvidia forgot to support this card

Pros: on paper this is a good card

Cons: Cannot find any stable drivers and nvidia doesn't offer any support or stable drivers for this card. This card is complete garbage, with an 850w ps providing 20 amps per 12v rail this card constantly crashes. It is very unstable and cannot run CS5, lightroom, source games, WOW, D3 or even provide stability for firefox. There is nothing positive I can say about this card.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this card it is a complete waste of money. The sad thing is that nvidia knows there are problems with stable drivers for the 550ti/560ti however they will not provide any means of support to help resolve the issues with the card.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am very sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Please give us a call at 888-881-3842 so we can work to get this resolved for you.

Thank you,
Brandon B

5 out of 5 eggsGamer

Pros: Fits in my case even though it is large. Speed is as good or slightly better than my sli gtx465's. Can be overclocked if you are inclined to do so.

Installed and worked properly on first try with no subsequent issues. No problems with any games so far.

Cons: Other than size, none so far.

Other Thoughts: If you try to put two of these in a case, make sure you have sufficient airflow. These sit right on top of one another and get warm during full load. My case is well ventilated so it is not a big issue.

4 out of 5 eggsA do all work horse of a card.

Pros: Excellent do all card for the money and will handle just about anything you can throw at it. I've been getting 70 FPS on Starcraft 2 on Ultra settings and can handle a screen full of units during Nexus Wars.

Cons: The only reason why I gave this card 4 Eggs is because my second monitor flickers when playing games. After extensive troubleshooting and ruling everything else it out its something with the video card itself.

Other Thoughts: I REALLY wanted to give this 5 Eggs because I know what the card is capable of from friends experience with the card but the unit I was sent just isn't getting it done. That being said as an IT professional EVGA's tech support was a pleasure to deal with.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Worked out of the box with both linux mint and Windows 7
nvidia drivers for linux work fine with this GPU
I haven't played a lot of games on it but what I've done so far has been great

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have a duel boot machine and run two monitors in both linux mint and windows 7. This card doesn't care which os I'm using everything works fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for price..!!

Pros: Installed (hardware / software) without a hitch into a new machine (OS, Win 7 Pro). Not the newest card, but nothing but the absolute newest games can touch its abilities. I was planning to SLI soon, but there really is not a reason to do it right now. By the time this card is considered "old", this machine will be number "3" of my machines. I build as required by technology, but I am not "Driven" by the need to "Make the newest and fastest". This card is great..!!

Cons: None so far..

Other Thoughts: I have friends that have reported great Benchmarks when utilizing SLI with this card.

5 out of 5 eggsPerformance/Price sweet spot

Pros: Easily handles overclocking and can run pretty much anything I throw at it at stock settings. Far Cry 3 handled well and with a bit of tweaking it went smooth. I mostly got this for Skyrim+mods+ENB and no problem there.

Cons: Just be sure not to order when processing enters a holiday week. The pains of waiting.

Other Thoughts: I have an XPS 8300 i5 2300-2800. Had to deal with integrated GPU for a while before this. It's a shame I have only one slot. I would love to run this in SLI.
