1 out of 5 eggsvery disappointing

Pros: Worked well for about 4 months

Cons: booted up computer last Sunday and blue screen came up saying no connected found from the sounds I new that Windows had booted up correctly; checked all connections still nothing; replaced DVI cable from my other desktop still nothing; removed card and replaced it with my video card from the other desktop and bingo I was back in business but with a 4 year old video card 8600GT

Other Thoughts: Have bought many EVGA cards over the years and have never had a problem until this card. I bought it in November of 2011 but just recently put my newer system together. Video cards should last longer than 4 months

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

If the card was purchased and registered in November of 2011 then it should still be under warranty. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can assist you with an RMA on this product.

Thank you,
Brandon B

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card in its time

Pros: Cheap for the performance (when I got it in June 2011), runs very cool, quiet fan, small card.

Cons: It doesn't make sandwiches for me :)

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my spare PC (Socket 939 dual-core Opteron @ 2.8 GHz) to replace its GeForce 7950 GT. Massive improvement in gaming performance, and it runs Folding@Home excellently. Even when overclocked (core tops out at 835 MHz for me), it stays below 70 C when folding. The fan on it is pretty much silent as well.

I've had good luck with the 295-series drivers. All of the early 300-series drivers, with the exception of the 310 betas, have been unstable for me on two different PCs.

IMO, the GTX 460 was one of those exceptionally good cards for its time (like the 8800 GT, Radeon 9700 Pro, X1900 XT, etc.). I'm happy I got it when I did.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card

Pros: runs Skyrim on max @ 1080p no problems like 40-50fps.

Too bad it isnt for sale any more the newer 560/580 series have minuet differences and in comparable systems I haven't seen huge performance gains.

OC'd ez.

oh yeh I have 2 of these and it smokes through all the big stradegy games like total wars starcraft things like that.

Cons: runs like 58c under 100% load with 5 fans in my rosewill case maxed. the case isn't the best out there but has very good positive airflow and I have the CPU ducted.

the top card runs much warmer where there isnt much airspace between the two. top card is 58c bottom is like 51c.

Other Thoughts: bought first one @ almost $175 2 years ago.

then it went on sale and I got 2nd one for like $90.00

I have 16gigs of mushkin blackline ddr3 1600 and an phenom x4 965 BE. I don't plan on needing PC rebuild/upgrade for a few years.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA (Hoorah!)

Pros: The product description sums it up.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have two of these running in SLI 24/7 since October 2010, and so far no issues, no artifacts. The temps are still running consistently based on how i keep my room temp (winter:32c / summer:40c). in game mode, say BF3/APB Reloaded/Just Cause 2/L4D2/AoEO/MafiaII, and so on, add another 30c max. no need to further overclock as I already get 60+ FPS.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing card for the price. This card is a -LITTLE OUTDATED- which is why it's so cheap. You will not be able to play the most graphically demanding games on the max settings in the most demanding scenario without lag (i.e. 8 maxed armies on StarCraft 2 colliding) it will lag JUST A LITTLE. However on high settings instead of ultra this card will preform way past its cost.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for no lag on any game on max settings in any scenario then add $300+ on your graphics card tab. Price and performance make this card the perfect one for the gamer on a budget.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful, Affordable GPU

Pros: *Cost

Cons: *Bulky in my microATX system

Other Thoughts: Haven't found any problems with it yet. It is exactly what I wanted--a quality, robust, mid-range GPU.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price for the specifications and performance, provided you get a good one.

Cons: Mine worked for about two weeks before I had to RMA it. I started to get lots of texture mishandling in newer 3D games. By that I mean textures that should have been wrapped around some object somewhere would instead be plastered elsewhere, like across the entire screen. Some times the textures would be transparent to some degree and I could continue playing but Portal 2 and Skyrim would rapidly become unplayable. This despite EVGA's software reporting high framerates, in the hundreds for Portal 2, with normal temperatues and voltages. Running the EVGA OC scanner would cause a system crash within 20 seconds of starting.

EVGA support was pretty good, I got through to a rep almost immediately when I called. They recommened RMA'ing it through Newegg, which I've done. I'm getting a refund since it's out of stock, thumbs down. But I'm getting another EVGA card now, a GTX 550 TI for the same price, possible thumbs up. Not sure if the lower memory interface numbers will matter.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry to hear you had to RMA the card. If you do run into any issues with the replacement please contact me directly, Matth@evga.com so I can assist you further.

Matthew Hurwitz

4 out of 5 eggsPretty impressed

Pros: Runs great,easy install, silent,
It runs everything iv played so far at max settings. Only problem iv had is steam doesn't recognize the card and wants to bother you about it along with a few other games the same but they still run on max settings.

Cons: Most things don't recognize the card but they still play just fine.
