3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice card for the last year and a half. Ran every game perfectly. Wot. Wow. Bf3.

Cons: Just had a stress test done on it and kept on failing. I hope my warranty isn't up.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -can run just about anything (maybe not at max settings but close)
-has never overheated (run in both 720 and 1080p)
-it's Nvidia

Cons: -dated
-not sold anymore
-there are much better cards for much cheaper or same price
-never liked the aesthetics of the card

Other Thoughts: I was messing around in my case with the card running. Clipped the fan and broke off two blades. Wobbles like crazy now but that is my fault not Nvidia's.

5 out of 5 eggsStill a beast.

Pros: I've had this card since September 2010 and it's still in my main rig. It still plays everything I want on at least high settings @ 1920x1080. Runs pretty cool considering there's nothing special about the cooling system. Overclocks well, up to a little over 850MHz on my particular card.

Cons: Memory doesn't overclock very well.. can't reach 4GHz effective speeds like many GTX460's have done.

Other Thoughts: With games getting more demanding on VRAM, the GTX460 becomes less and less of a smart choice. The GF104 is a very powerful GPU, especially after overclocking, but 1GB cards becoming less relevant among demanding AAA PC game titles. I've noticed since owning this card card that any time I've ever had a video bottleneck it has been from hitting the limit on VRAM, not because the GTX460's GPU can't handle the pressure.

1 out of 5 eggsConstantly Overheats and Shuts Down PC

Pros: Not Much.... Graphics run good when it runs.... Just wont run them long with out the side of the case off and additional air circulation added.

Cons: Constant overheating causing PC crash. Would overheat and shut down pc without any warning causing tons of lost work. As a graphics and media proffesional I am completely done with Nvidia.

Other Thoughts: I have three (3) Laptops and two desktop computers that died due to Nvidia Graphics chipsets and will NEVER use them again. Now have over half a dozen machines running alternative chipsets for over a year producing HD work and never a problem.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize your card is overheating. If removing the side panel fixes the issue it sounds like you may need to rework the airflow in the case. Keep in mind its not just the amount of fans in the case, but the pathways the air can flow and the direction of the fans. If you would like to setup a replacement to see if that fixes the issue please contact our 24/7 technical support (888)-881-3842

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Value

Pros: Can play all my games to the max without a problem.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: Card runs relatively cool. I run games at 1280x1024 at maxed out settings in every game I play. Should still run pretty well at 1080p, but havent been able to try it yet. I definitely recommend this card

1 out of 5 eggsEvga ripped me off.

Pros: Don't know it never worked.

Cons: This card froze on 4 different motherboards. I packed it very securely in 2 boxes and returned it to EVGA. Evga refused to honor their warranty claiming it was damaged. It didn't have a scratch on it when i returned it. There is no way it was damaged in shipping. It was in a very sturdy box inside another box and both cushioned with paper.

Other Thoughts: I will NEVER buy another EVGA again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry to hear you card needed to be RMA'd. If it did arrive with physical damage you would have been emailed pictures of the damage and our RMA manager's contact information. If you did not recieve this email please contact me directly so I can look into your RMA for you, Matth@evga.com

1 out of 5 eggsCrack, fizzle, pop...computer dies

Pros: Ran great for about 2 months. Played BF3 and EVE better than my GTX 260. Ran at 60 C though. Little Warm but acceptable.

Cons: Playing EVE tonight, leave the room and when i returned my computer was off. Little weird but it happens sometimes. Updates and such. Turned my computer back on. gets through the post and then the pop fizzle and hiss is heard of something frying in my case. comp shuts down again and smoke is rising out of my vents. took it apart and what would you know my GTX460 has fried. either a capacitor or resistor is burned to a crisp insode the fan bay of the card...da**ed. good thing i kept my GTX260.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: I used this card in my second build ever. The only game I play is WOW. The difference in my graphics over my GTX 8800 is awesome. Playing on ultra at a consistent 60 fps.

Cons: None so far & hopefully won't have any until it's time for a new build.

Other Thoughts: Core i5-2500k
ASUS V-pro/gen3
Corsair vengence 8gb
Intel 80 gb SSD
WD 750 Gb HDD
Samsung CD/DVD

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for sli

Pros: Runs cool for being a fermi chip. Full load with w/o sli 73c. Full load with sli 79c which is within spec. Came with fbp (free performance boost). I ran that fpb with only that card in just to be safe, didn't want to flash my ssc+ edition on accident. Don't know if that's what you were suppose to do.

Cons: None that I have encountered.

Other Thoughts: Make sure not to get upset about the temps because these cards run a bit hotter and make sure when you sli to watch temps. Most motherboards don't have enough spacing between pci slots.
