4 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: What's not to love. It comes overclocked, but is easily pushed even more. I run the lower level games like BF2 on the highest settings without a hitch. can't really comment on anything beyond that since I don't run much more video intensive games. Stays nice and cool compared to my last video card.

Cons: I do wish it was a bit smaller.

Other Thoughts: I had been running a 7950 GX2 for a few years and it handled everything well, but this is unquestionably a step up for newer games.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: The card is huge, but worth it. I feel I got a good deal at the time for it so I purchased it and so far it plays all the games I tested on it.

Cons: Didn't really find cons except how big it is.

4 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: Fast, plays just about every game with settings at max without any noticeable slowness. I immediately threw away the CD and documentation and downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia's website. Whoever complained that the documentation was poor, probably shouldn't be on the inside of a computer.

Cons: Fan is noisy, even when just sitting at the Windows desktop. I built a quality system using a LianLi case with 3 120mm fans, two HD's etc... and this was the by far the loudest item in the system.

Other Thoughts: Its not EVGA's fault, my MSI 8800GTS has the same fan and was noisy as well, it appears all high end Nvidia cards have this fan, I just swapped the Heatsink out for a waterblock to make my system quiet. That's the price you pay for a gaming system.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Card, NO DOCUMENTATION

Pros: Excellent card for price. Very good frame rates for CoD 4 at 1280x1024.

Cons: Documentation is a joke.

Other Thoughts: Would have been 5 stars if the documentation and the included CD actually contained anything useful.

5 out of 5 eggsCool Running

Pros: Although I not an overclocker, this GPU runs quiet and very cool, in fact less than 40 c most of the time. I have it SLI'd to a older 9800 GTX and they are rated to work together. Gaming is such a joy with these. Use the EVGA Precision on auto and even the older GPU runs under 70 celcius. Nice unit.

Cons: This fits on an ASUS P5N-D in the 2nd slot but a very hard fit over the SATA inputs. The older 9800 GTX will not fit in this slot at all. When I added the 9800 GTX plus I wanted it to be in the number one slot since the older GPU runs allot hotter and sits very close to the 2nd one. Mobo makers need to space these between a regular pci slot or something, way to close together, can't see how the fan can pull air into it.

Other Thoughts: EVGA states normal operating temps are 70-80 celcius but I think thats too hot, I see this 9800 GTX plus at 40 c or less all the time and I use dual monitors but will replace the older GPU with this plus unit.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great Card, Excellent Price, as well as it is NVIDIA. Upgraded an older computer and was a great deal. Think I will still be able to use that PC for a couple more years. Plays Lord of the Rings Online at very high settings smooth as silk. This was a replacement of my Nvidia 7800GT

Cons: None
