1 out of 5 eggsmissing parts boo...still an ok card though

Pros: fast even when on a pci-e 1.0 slot.

Cons: makes getting to my pci-e release tab almost impossible
the precision software's auto fan feature wont work
missing the dvi adapter that was supposed to come with the card

Other Thoughts: just ordered a new MB processor and ram to install along with my old stuff so ill be able to utilize the full 2.0 pci-e and dx 10 functions. so im expecting a little bump in performance. missing peices and not being able to really open the card up thats why im giving 1 egg we will see what happens from here EVGA

Manufacturer Response:

Please contact us directly at 888-880-3842 so we can send you the missing components.

2 out of 5 eggsBiggest Rebate Scam EVER!!!

Pros: great performance. had to rearrange some hard drives to make sure the card cleared, but other that that no probs so far. Would be 5 eggs, but please see the cons.

Cons: EVGA counts as a con right? Where is my rebate money? Everything was filled out properly, and documentation of the purchase/required items were all there, so why cant you guys deliver this in a timely fashion. This stays as 2 eggs until i get it.

Other Thoughts: I cant believe getting a rebate from these guys is so hard.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Please contact us at rebates@evga.com so we can check on the status and correct it.

Thanks,
Jacob

4 out of 5 eggsGood But Hot

Pros: Got it on sale. Great price for a decent card. Gets good FPS in most of my FPS games. Handles most tasks well. Durable casing and nice "feel" to it out of box. Looks good in the case.

Cons: Runs a little hot :/. I get readings of 57C on my desktop. In games it gets up in the 60- 67 range but never passes 70. I normally turn up the fan speed with the fan controller software included but the fan is pretty loud. In fact, the fan is the loudest thing in my case. But still is quiet enough to handle.

Other Thoughts: Bottom Line. You get great performance with the flaws of a cheap price. I would still recommend buying it if you don't mind it running a little loud or hot.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent price/performance ratio

Pros: Great card for the money. Its almost completely silent. I have a coolermaster v8 and with this card installed the loudest thing in my case is my hard drive. (And my case is a cheapo)

Cons: Nothing.

Other Thoughts: EVGA "step-up" program.. really? I can't wait to upgrade my gfx card in only 90 days... Not.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic card

Pros: This card does it all as far as i'm concerned. It really has changed my PC from average to amazing. I play all my games in 1680x1050 on highest settings. (Crysis, Sacred 3 etc.) Fairly easy to overclock...it comes with the software to do so.

Cons: Only con is the size of this bad boy is the size. I have a medium sized case and i actually had to do some grinding on one of the extra hard drive slots so that there would be room. Nothing to serious, only took me five minutes.

Other Thoughts: Overall, i love this thing.

5 out of 5 eggsToo big

Pros: It looks cool!

Cons: Mine was DOA, but I had to destroy my case to find that out. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone with a non custom built system, factory cases are just not big enough. In my case it wasnt just the case the actual mobo would be damaged when you try to put it in. DOA means your still out return shipping and time!

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have enough case and a full ATX mobo. Micro atx might not cut it.

3 out of 5 eggsGood...eventually

Pros: Runs fast. No problems with any of the multiple games I've thrown at it. Fallout 3 runs flawlessly at max settings (I'm only running at 1680x1050 resolution).

Cons: I went through TWO of these cards within a month before I got one that worked. First one failed when taxed at all and I returned it to NewEgg. Second one worked for a couple of weeks and then died - couldn't even display the desktop. I had to return that one to eVGA. I honestly thought my system must be at fault because of the failures - turned out both cards were defective. Additionally, because of this I was out my $40 rebate since the promotion was well over by the time I finally received a working card. Minus two eggs for these quality issues and rebate troubles for an otherwise great card.

Other Thoughts: I know I'm repeating what so many have stated before, but this card is big. Make sure you do your research and ensure it can fit into your case with all your other components in place.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Card works great, went right in my case and booted up fine, installed drivers, everything runs top settings, not much improvement in most games for 8800gt

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Wasn't DOA. EVGA Precision tool is nice, even though I won't make use of it, but it's nice to have should I ever decide to use it. So far no problems in game playability; EQ2, Empire: TW, Hellgate: London, Supreme Commander all running more smoothly with this card than what they did with my old 8800GTS 320mb. (which artifacted, and died, by the way).

Arrived with all advertised cables and accessories.

Cons: Nothing really, card was .5 inches longer than my 8800GTS, overall about 10.5 inches in length.

Other Thoughts: Probably won't play Call of duty, World at War, box was beaten up kinda badly (thanks UPS), looked like a fat guy sat on one corner of it and smooshed it, so thanks newegg for the packing eggs!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice card works great with the games i play and is way better then my old 8500gt

Cons: missing ALL THE CABLES and had to move a hard drive out of its way to fit it in but it lost a egg on the zero amount of cables it came with. I didn't need the cables but still if its listed put them in the box....

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Please contact us directly at 888-880-3842 so we can send you the missing cables.

Thanks,
Jacob
