3 out of 5 eggsNot as powerful as I could have hoped.

Pros: Runs great in certain games
Doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner
Doesn't burn up my room

Cons: Low FPS in many games, sometimes lower than my old card (this may be a bottleneck on my end, but it can get really low in games that I once had almost twice the framerate in using a 650 Ti)
When it gets going, this sucker can draw some serious power

Other Thoughts: Make sure your processor can handle the card.
Don't buy this for anything more than $299, I payed $320 and regret that
If it works for you, great, but mine simply doesn't perform as well as everybody said it would.

2 out of 5 eggsHad to RMA twice already

Pros: Runs most games maxed out.

Cons: Lasted about 7-8 months before I had to RMA the card and have had it back for 3 months and now I have to RMA again..Really getting exspensive buying packaging material and the shipping back to MSI is 25$ each time, so i am out about 60 dollars on top of the price of the card in 1 year.

Other Thoughts: There used to be a lot more reviews on Newegg for this card but now it's not showing any on my end.I have searched around online and it seems that this card from MSI has QC problems.

My first MSI product and I think it will be my last.

Pros: A DVI-VGA Dongle
Decnet price for the card

Cons: Artifacts way too much. I have only had this card for about a month and when playing the games on my computer I am getting massive artifacting. I would rather put the extra $40 bucks in and get the GTX 970.

Other Thoughts: It seemed like a nice deal at the time, after using it though I would not recommend it to anyone

Pros: Works well when working
Decent - high FPS
Runs pretty cool
Quiet

Cons: Doesn't work anymore. I bought this card about 2 months ago in spite of all of the bad reviews thinking "screw it, I'm sure it will be fine". I was mistaken. Two months into it's operation (never overclocked, taken good care of) I'm getting tons of artifacts during game play and flashing white screens with colored lines. Not to mention all the BSOD's this card has caused me mid-game. Would not recommend, try a different manufacturer like ASUS or Gigabyte. Will be calling MSI ASAP to get this thing RMA'd. May add another egg, depending on how that process goes.

Other Thoughts: Listen to the reviews if you are hesitant, and buy a different card. Not worth the trouble.

2 out of 5 eggsMSI R9 280x is Hit and Miss

Pros: I initially chose this card because of its small size in comparison to the other brands that manufactured the r9 280x. It functioned fairly well and could play most games at max settings- 60 FPS. I also didn't experience the "coil whine" that many claim to be experiencing.

Cons: Recently it began crashing to a solid colored screen with black vertical lines. (this is a common issue with the r9 280x's as I've seen plenty of posts about this issue on multiple forums) This would be less of an issue if it wouldn't have occurred less than 10 months after purchasing and installing the card.

I am in the process of RMA-ing the card and depending on the service provided there, I may add another egg to the rating.

Other Thoughts: I would stay away from this card, and if I had the choice again I would most definitely go purchase another EVGA-Nvidia card instead. Save yourself the hassle and at the very least purchase the 280x from a different manufacturer.

Pros: Runs everything I throw at it with good fps. Not a huge burn on my systems power. Fit decently in my case.

Cons: Somewhat lacking in performance based on benchmarks of the same card and acts a little glitch sometimes. Also the fan is loud when its hot.

Pros: none so far, havent got it operational.

Cons: Im thinking this card may be DOA i installed it as per the intruction manuals 3 step and very unspecific instalation process. it does nothing, and my system has no onboard graphics so atm im still stuck with the card i was trying to upgrade from. again, not sure if im doing something wrong or their might be something else i have to hook to it..
the instalation guide is a real joke. it says nothing about any of the accessory ports, dosent even say what they are or do, just says jam the card in place, boot up, and run the disk.

Other Thoughts: Gave it 2 Eggs because the card is a real beauty, and looks like it could blow my games out of the water, if it worked.
card is long for my tower, i have literally a half inch of space between the end of it and disk drive bay platforms.

Pros: Powerful, handled everything i played just fine.

Cons: After 7-8 months its stopped working , people suggested it was a driver issue, i tried updating them, i tried older versions also, and nothing fixed. I re-installed windows also, and installed the original drivers it came with on the CD and that didn't work either.

Pros: Bought card when it was first released and never had any problems, card never went above 70c on any games.

Cons: In July 2014 started getting artifacts so bad that i couldn't use computer so i put my old card in and that fixed problem...So I RMA the card and spend 25 dollars sending it back, after about 10 days i recieved a refurb, installed it and comp runs fine but after about 2 minutes in any game the 280X temp jumps to 85c.

I know some people say that temps that high are acceptable but if the card i sent in wasn't going over 70c, then i'm not keeping this one with these very high temps.Seeing a lot of bad reviews for the MSI 280x on various sites and complaints about temps.

If I have to pay to send it back again, i will be very upset, 25$ each time because the sent me a card with its on problems and it appears MSI needs to do something about their QA.

Other Thoughts: Guess it's time to RMA again.
