It consumes less power, has more over three times the shaders, and is low profile. It's also a DirectX 11 card. It can play some older games at 720p resolution (1280x720). The audio out is convenient for blu-ray playback. The low profile adapter plates allow the VGA port to be removed, not like similar products from ASUS. Cons: The HDMI audio goes out the DVI, not the HDMI, requiring the use of the adapter included in the box. Pros: can play GRiD css, DiRT2, source engine games no problem at 2560x1024 resolution, high settings, very cool card. Cons: no drivers for linux (big surprise huh?). when you look at the ati sdk kit page, it list this card. however when you download the sdk kit and look in the docs folder, there is nothing about this card working. Other Thoughts: bad on ati...not to mention the sites alittle screwy too, not that it has anything to do with the card. auto fill on your 'security question' on the password reset page, login button remains login button after you login... i have a bad feeling i just wasted around a hundo... 1 out of 29 people found this review helpful.
