5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card for the Price!

Pros: This card cost $139.99 when I purchased it, so I got a great deal on it. It's a massive upgrade from my 9500GT, it took me from running Bad Company 2 on lowest settings, DirectX9, 1600x900 to running at highest settings (no AA, that was pushing it a little bit), DirectX11, full 1080p.

Cons: The first one I got had broken DVI ports, but I got a new one in a week and was rocking again. one thing to note is that (for me) the temps run pretty high, around 85C. I don't know if that's just me or if that is within the thermal specs of the card. It also doesn't come with a Crossfire bridge, but that's not a huge deal. Other than that though, no cons.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this card to someone who (like me) is on a budget and needs the biggest bang for their buck. It runs games very well (I'd recommend it to someone who's running 1680x1050 or lower) and doesn't break the bank. Overall, this is a very solid card.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid For The Money

Pros: Works like a champ. I'm not a hard core gamer, but it has handled everything I've thrown at it. Got a really good special price and a rebate.

Cons: none so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat compact graphics firepower

Pros: Card is short so very good for smaller cases. Works good for what I needed it streaming and light video editing.

Audio and video streaming through hdmi was pretty much automatic to setup and audio is on time with video.

Cons: I tried to setup 3 monitors, but it didnt like that I didnt mess with it too much, there might be a specific condition dance you would have to meet to make it work. people are getting stupefyingly greedy these days. I will say that it works like it is supposed to and will only cut you off if you are actually streaming protected digital content to more than one television. I ran the HDMI into a Kramer switching unit and if I played Avatar, the Kramer would shut off all but one output. If the media I streamed through the card was not protected content, then the Kramer would display it on all ports. So the card seem to correctly identify what is protected and what is not.

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressed

Pros: Works flawlessly. Great build quality and reasonably quiet fan. All solid capacitors which should help with longevity. Performance seems excellent in my Win 7 system. Not a big gamer, just wanted a card to handle my regular multitasking, multi-monitor and occasional video editing. This one seems to be a winner.

Cons: Takes 2 slots. Warranty not as long as some others.

Other Thoughts: Don't use outdated drivers included on CD. Visit and download latest for your system.

2 out of 5 eggsDrivers Disappoint

Pros: Crisp and smooth when it works.

Cons: ATI should do more testing before releasing cards to consumers. Every game this crashes at different times. Tried latest drivers, updated bios, updated all drivers on machine running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. Crashes on another PC running Windows XP, again with latest drivers. Tried different clock settings and voltage settings no help.

Other Thoughts: Will hold out for new driver releases from ATI to fix these Gray screen crashes in games (GTA IV, Empire Total War, Tropico 3, FSX)

5 out of 5 eggsEgggselent

Pros: Perfect - clear picture, seldom comes off of the 60fps on WoW.

Cons: It's not the 5870 for this price...

5 out of 5 eggsfavorite ever

Pros: AWESOME! I don't play many games and I only play at 1280 x 1024 but it's more than I need for cheap. Plays dirt 2 dx11 @ 30fps, Oblivion bbc+qtp3 @ 25fps. Overclocked easily to 820mhz.

Cons: Fan gets loud at 100% but who runs it at 100% anyway? 50% will do fine.

Other Thoughts: AWESOMENESS! Unless you play higher than 1680 x 1050 resolution or you wanna max crysis or run 8xSSAA, this card will do fine.

2 out of 5 eggsBad card, bad Rma.

Pros: Cheaper price then other with mail in rebate. DDR 5, 1 Gig.

Cons: I had the card alittle over a month when the card just stopped working. I requested a RMA over a week and a half ago. I am still waiting on a RMA number or even a E-Mail telling me they got my request. I though something was wrong with the card when the GPU was reading at 75c at idle and 85-90c at load. If I could get my money back, I would. I like MSI on past projects but this...
The GPU heat sink feels cheap and didn't do a good job at cooling the card but I'm guessing I just got a bad card

Other Thoughts: I'll stick with the MSI motherboards but the video card has cost me but nothing but problems. I need a video card asap and this one isn't looking like it was my best pick.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price for a great card!

Pros: This has been the first card I have installed, but I can tell you that the installation went really smooth.

I have been running an onboard ATI HD 3200 and have had 3.7 for windows rating. Now, once I installed this card, it jumped up all the way to 5.9

I mainly bought this gfx for games, and so far I have only played MW2, and it has been running really smooth.

I can only imagine what this card can do once I upgrade my ram and processor.

My specs:
Phenom 4x 1.8ghz
4 GB of ram
640GB 7,200 RPM HDD
430watt PSU

And let's not forget about shipping, using the default UPS shipping, the card was delivered to my door in 2-3 days. Ordered on 2/3/10 and already had it by my door once I came back home by 2/5/10

Good one newegg! I love ATI R

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, even better with rebate

Pros: So far this has been a great video card, and definitely an improvement over the Nvidia GeForce GT 220 that came with my machine.

- 40nm process (less heat, less power usage)
- Excellent, even amazing power consumption (16 watt idle, 86 watt load)
- DirectX 11 support
- Eyefinity support
- DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort connectors, and thankfully NO stupid connectors like VGA or S-video
- 1GB of video memory
- No hiccups with drivers, software, or motherboard compatibility
- Requires only a single 6-pin power cable
- DiRT2 is a wicked fun game for free (not included on physical media, but downloadable through Steam)
- Quiet fan, no noisier than my CPU or case fan
- Great price with mail-in rebate
- Works fine with my 350 watt PSU

Cons: There are really few cons that I can think of with this card, overall I've been very happy and impressed with the video quality.

- Takes up two PCI slots (not a big deal, unless you really need every slot)
- DiRT2 does not come on physical media, not a big deal, but it means you have to download it through Steam
- Having to use a mail-in rebate, takes too long, is old fashioned and annoying way of recouping money spent

Other Thoughts: From what I have heard, you DON'T need an active DisplayPort adapter when using Eyefinity, unless the monitor you're connecting to doesn't have DisplayPort.

I haven't had any problems so far with the Catalyst drivers (9.12 and 10.1), nor did I have any issues with the MSI Live Update or Afterburner software downloaded from their site.

What really impressed me was the power consumption of this card. My machine only came with a 350 watt PSU, and I was certain I would have to replace it with a higher wattage power supply - not at all.

Dell Studio XPS 8000
Windows 7 x64
Core i7 860
Stock 350 watt PSU (with only one 6-pin power connector, phew)
6GB of RAM
Intel 80GB gen 2 SSD
2x 2TB Hitachi 7200rpm hard drives
MSI Radeon HD 5750
LG Blu-ray drive
Bluetooth 2.1 and Wireless N
Samsung 24" LCD at 1920x1200
