5 out of 5 eggsVastly underrated

Pros: -Runs games well
-Runs cool and quiet

Cons: -Large
-Incompatible with some mobos
-Cannot take advantage of 2GB?

Other Thoughts: First off, I'd like to say I haven't used this card as long as I've owned it. I used to have a system with an A6-3650 APU on a Pegatron 2ACF motherboard. The card wouldn't work at all on it. That said, be wary of using this card with APU systems.

All of that aside, this card is FAR better than most people give it credit for. I've hit 30FPS minimum on Crysis on High, Bioshock Infinite on Very High, and Battlefield 3 on Very High. On lower-end games like CS:GO and Rusty Hearts, I can max 'em at 60FPS or higher. This is all at native res (1600x900). This most certainly IS a gaming card.
Even at max load, the fan is nearly silent and I've been contemplating overclocking it as it stays relatively cool as well.

My only complaint is that it's a bulky card and that it didn't work at all for me until I built a completely new rig with a new motherboard.

One last note, I recall reading somewhere that this card cannot take full advantage of its 2GB of VRAM. Don't quote me on this, but I think it was due to a lower memory bus speed? At any rate, if you're buying this card JUST for the 2GB VRAM, you may want to put some more research into it. Otherwise, this is a perfect card to hold me over another year or two until I upgrade it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card with crossfire

Pros: Price is great and runs games with almost maxing out most game graphics.

Good card gaming and watching 1080, i have mine hooked up to a tv and another monitor.

Cons: got to crossfire with my mobo to make a gpu/gcpu set up, but after i combined the 2 it didnt really work better at all. made it slower.

Other Thoughts: Gave 5 eggs though because of the price and being able to run most games on max.... hey its a 2gb card!! and HDMI is a must!

5 out of 5 eggsGood better than average card

Pros: Inexpensive, runs cool, runs quietly. Can be used for flawless Blu Ray and other HD playbck. Not a gaming card but will play casual games (Luxor Bejeweled HD versions) with no lag. Runs the Aliens vs Predator D3D11 Benchmark V1.03 scarily well.I am not a gamer but use the PC for running virtual machines, email, surfing, coding editing music and photos. A great all round card. Gigabyte also stands by the warranty. I personally have 7 various Gigabyte Video cards and they have all been reliable and good performers.

Cons: Not gonna play the latest games.,Why are you even looking here?

Other Thoughts: Obviously for the latest games you would not be looking here but if you want to upgrade your workstation this card is recommended providing you have at least a 400W PSU. For those of you with 2 of these cards and you wish to enable Crossfire, In the catalyst Control Centre place a check mark in the box "Enable Crossfire" and reboot. How hard is that?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value & Performance

Pros: Big Fan = Silent. Low power draw.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is an entry level gaming card and better than IGP. It produces ample color representation and blacks are very clean. Great for casual games. Excellent value for a display adapter.

It can also run multiple monitors at low power. Get the girl in the office an additional monitor and one of these and she will think of you more often.

4 out of 5 eggsGood performance/cost

Pros: Low cost solution for a reasonable performance (non-gaming). Using the card in an engineering workstation to visualize CAD 2D and 3D representations. Has 2GB memory.

Cons: None yet.
Will buy a higher end graphics if it ever becomes necessary.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Crossfire

Pros: It's ATI/AMD card, Gigabyte brand. I have been using a pair of Gigabyte 4890 cards for years. Just time to upgrade.

Cons: Not a crossfire board as advertised. Nothing on the box or hardware shows a connection for Crossfire bridges.

Other Thoughts: Newegg needs to make sure of their postings. Lake of truth in advertising.

1 out of 5 eggsNot as advertised - Does not actually support CrossFire

Pros: Looks like a nice card. Has a great price. If you are looking for just one card for your system and are on a budget, I would guess this is probably a good deal for you.

Cons: Newegg lists this as a "CrossFireX-ready" card, yet there is no indication on the box or on the hardware itself that this is the case. Hopefully it was just a screwup by someone at Newegg and not actually a deceptive marketing practice.

4 out of 5 eggsMinor screen flicker/flash

Pros: Will play yesterday's titles fairly well (Medieval 2, Company of Heroes, etc) and does an excellent job on emulators.

Cons: My card is suffering from screen flicker/flash issues. It seems to be tied with video acceleration. I disabled acceleration where possible (such as with Youtube), and VLC seems entirely unaffected. Since I found workarounds and now the issue rarely appears, I never investigated further. I do know, however, that I am not the only one having this problem.

Other Thoughts: I bumped up the core clock another 40 Mhz, but I didn't want to try the memory, since there was no heat-spreaders.

Do not confuse this card with the DDR5 version. This card is DDR3, and the performance will be lower.

5 out of 5 eggsBudget Gaming

Pros: Arrived quickly and in perfect shape. I have 2 of these working in crossfire mode on a budget gaming build. I can play almost any game at high to ultra quality as long as the anti-alaising and post processing are kept low or off. Incredibly quiet. Can be moderately over clocked to improve performance. I just use the CCC recommended settings as putting it any higher seems to cause instability.

Cons: None, you're getting more than what you pay for.
