5 out of 5 eggsMuch better than expected

Pros: Runs 90-120fps average on BF3 maximum settings on a 1080p 120hz with 4xMSAA.

CUDA cores really help with Sony Vegas when enabling them for the program.

27c when doing normal things on the computer, 60c when playing games (if you use the tuner software correctly like fan speed and target temp, the default settings will let it go up to 90c)

The price to performance is great considering SLI is said to outperform a GTX Titan for less than half the price. In 2 years I'll just buy another 760 and SLI and it will be cheaper by then for it.

Cons: I spent hours trying to get Shadowplay to work with this card and couldn't get it to record to save my life even with numerous driver reinstalls. I ended up making a partition for Windows 8 and it works fine on there so I figured it was something I may have installed on Windows 7 or maybe a registry error.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in mid October.

My rig:
Asrock Extreme3 970 R3.0
AMD FX 6350 6 core 4.2GHz
GTX 760 2GB 1100mhz
8GB (2X4GB) Ballistics 1600MHz DDR3
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit & 8 Pro 64bit

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad.

Pros: My day job is working with SOC embedded graphics so I know a thing or two about the computational aspect of GPU.. I ran OCL benchmarks on these and really shines. I used Basemark CL and Luxmark. Okay consumer wise I saw and improvement on video viewing.

Cons: Maybe sell these as either HDMI or DP and then give two

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: I bought this card to replaced my GeForece GTX 465. I was not let down. I got it $210 and it is worth every bit of that. I can now run Titan fall on the highest setting with my framerate never dropping below 60.

Cons: I wish I had upgraded sooner.

Other Thoughts: This card is pretty small. It fits in my Midsize tower with lots of extra room. It also runs really cool compared to the old 465. Even under load it stays below 30 degrees c.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card for the money

Pros: Awesome performance
Runs very cool
Runs queitly

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased 2 of these cards to power 4 monitors (hence I usually don't run in SLI), but when I *do* run in SLI mode, I get better benchmark results than a friend with Radeon 290x in crossover mode.

I have not run a game yet that required me to run in SLI mode for full framerates with Ultra High details and my normal daily applications (VirtualBox) runs with multiple monitors with no issues either.

These cards are also very quiet, and they run cool (at least according to my temperature sensors).

5 out of 5 eggsProblematic DIYer

Pros: Powerful. Reasonably Quiet. Not too demanding wattage-wise.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I felt obligated to post this review to balance out my previous submission titled "Problematic in SLI".

These GPUs are equipped with two tabs for multi-GPU bridges. As the AsRock Z77 Extreme3 motherboard I used in this build only ships with one SLI bridge, and I was under the impression a dual-bridge configuration would boost performance, I set up using two aftermarket Crossfire bridges. They are not interchangeable. I finally rebuilt this rig with the included SLI bridge and all was well.

Furthermore, these things are durable. At one point I was trying to retrieve a PCI slot cover that had fallen inside the case on top of the upper GPU with a pair of tweezers WHILE THE SYSTEM WAS RUNNING. After the sparks and loss of signal to the monitor I thought I had fried one of the 760s beyond repair. Everything revved back up nicely after a shutdown and restart. These devices can stand up to some abuse.

Lessons learned:

1. SLI and Crossfire bridges are not interchangeable.
2. There is little or no gain in performance using two multi-GPU bridges instead of only one.
3. Avoid poking around the interior of your box while it's running with metal objects. Even if you're grounded it's still likely not a good idea.

Stay tuned for more adventures in PC building.

2 out of 5 eggsIt was good at first

Pros: It ran well and had almost no issues for the first year. I could play just about any game I wanted with the graphics almost maxed out.

Cons: While gaming my computer had shut itself down with no warning. After further investigation the computer just simply wouldn't turn back on. So after doing some research as to what would cause this I tried removing parts. I did unplug the PSU from the wall outlet while I removed parts for safety reasons. first i started with the graphics card, a stick of memory and my dvd drive. after plugging the psu back in everything started back up. So i unplugged the psu again and put the RAM back in and plugged the dvd drive back in. the computer seemed to still power up and run just fine. so finally doing the same as before I put the graphics card back in this time when i powered up the computer what looks to be transistors on the back of the card quite literally caught on fire. its very small spot on the card near the side with the video ports. there's only 2 small black square transistors back there and one of them caught fire.

Other Thoughts: don't take the wrong impression from this I really liked this card and didn't plan on buying a new card for a few years. However I probably wont buy another one of these just because of what happened. I'd upload a picture so you could see but sadly there's no option for that.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Video Card (so far...)

Pros: This video card is able to run every game Iv'e tried at High/Ultra at 60fps (depending on the age of the game itself). I got this card on sale for $220, and it's definitely worth it. If you play games, but aren't super hardcore about it, then you can't go wrong with this card.

Cons: It has it's limitations, but for a casual/hardcore gamer, the limitations aren't a big deal. Iv'e heard that the card can break after a few months, and I hope that doesn't happen to me.

Other Thoughts: This thing is bug, but not giant. I had no problem fitting this card into my Rosewill Challenger Case. I have plenty of room for another card if I so choose to put another one in.

2 out of 5 eggsIffy, it was nice but then...

Pros: Everything was good for the first few months both of my cards (I bought two of these) worked well!

Cons: However, after a bit of time they don't work at all.

I was playing league of legends, and noticed that things started to look wierd. League of Legends isn't known for being a graphics intensive game, I also had no problem playing other games prior, even intensive graphics based games. So i alt+tabed out and back in and the game ran for like 10 secconds and then computer completly shut down. I tried to turn the computer back on but no visual/video graphics would boot, nothing would boot. I tested both graphics card on my friends computer to see what was wrong, and with one of them mother board would show error A2 OR A1, it would boot but there would be no image at all no matter what port i would use and the 2nd graphics card would just not boot at all. The cards them selves had no smell of burning or any other indicators of a meltdown or short circuit.

I spent hours reading online about the card and looked at the newegg page and a lot of people had simmilar problems. Neither of the graphics cards never been overclocked with 3rd party software or with the one provided with graphics cards. My rig is properly vented so that air reaches all cards, and I even have it liquid cooled. So if anything... I am frustrated because now I don't have a computer after spending so much : /

1 out of 5 eggsWorked great at first...

Pros: The card seems to be fast, beautiful, and worked great for about 3 months.

Cons: After about 3 months it started giving me random flickering of graphics in games like CS:GO and World of Warcraft. Called support and went through the long process of about 10 different verifications and ultimately they decided it had to be the card and let me RMA. Then I found out the RMA process was terrible. I pay to ship it, I'm without a video card for up to two weeks. So I played on my on-board video card for a while. I called to ask status on my RMA and all they could tell me is that they re-soldered some chips.. couldn't tell me they saw the same problem, what it was, anything. I just got back my video card today - It is still exhibiting the same problem, albiet not as bad. I am going to call support again but I shouldn't have to. I'm afraid of what they may say since they apparently couldn't reproduce the problem even though it did the same thing on two other computers. I'm at a loss - this is my first RMA experience with ASUS and I am not impressed.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings Daven,

I am sorry to hear that you had a problem with you graphic card after the RMA sir. Did you happen to RMA it again already? If not, please let me know and I will be happy to assist you with setting up an RMA so that I may look into your case further. Please include your reference number within the subject line. In addition, please provide me with what troubleshooting steps you have tried, as well as the rest of the systems hardware configuration. Thank you!Cs#N140935363
