1 out of 5 eggsFailed on arrival

Pros: While it was working, i got it to run 8 windows at the same time all playing youtube... 2 were even split between the screens... but after 30 secs the drivers would fail and the card would crash... even with one window open it would crash

Cons: from the time it came out of the box it only would last about a minute (max) before the drivers would crash and it would completely reset the computer or just go black indefinatly.

Other Thoughts: I tested this on 2 different computers, 2 different psu's (one was 1000 watts) and tried 4 different drivers... all with same results.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: This is the best Price to Performance ratio in comparison with the current market (2/15/2014). I already have one of these cards and they work amazingly.

Cons: No cons at all.

Other Thoughts: I bought another for my GF's PC. 1 out of 5 eggsUpdate: Problems with ASUS GPU tweak

Pros: Great looking card that runs quiet and cool... When it's running...

Cons: The drivers are a mess. Ive been struggling, for months, with any idea for a solution to get the drivers to stop crashing with no avail. at this point, I plan to give it away and buy a new GPU. I have contacted ASUS support twice over three months ago and I have not received a reply yet, and dont expect one. It's Nvidia or nothing for me for now on.

Other Thoughts: Save yourself a lot of frustration, and get an Nvidia 650ti.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Support

Pros: Low temperatures.

Cons: Killed my computer. Had to do a factory reset as even the restore points wouldn't work. The card would play games fine but randomly BSOD and that was that. No matter what drivers I used it would do this. Even watching a video on it would do this.

The support at ASUS has not contacted me still and I really want a replacement is all.

4 out of 5 eggsExceptional

Pros: Great card for moderate gamers and even handles high-end games and programs fairly well. Nothing too impressive but for the price it performs exactly how it should.

Cons: The look of this card, as much as I know why they chose the design, its not very appealing. The massive heat pipes and off-center shroud (while is great at cooling) wouldn't be something I show off.

Other Thoughts: ASUS never sacrifices performance and does what they can to make the given hardware as impressive as they can, and performance-wise that is shown here

1 out of 5 eggsFailure Under Light Use

Pros: -Cheap

Cons: -Breaks upon being lightly used.
-Not able to RMA product if you submitted a rebate.

Other Thoughts: I wanted an affordable, yet capable card for driving my workstation, with the capability of having three monitors. This card seemed like the best selection for the price, with a modest amount of power. It worked wonderfully for handling the everyday tasks of seamlessly updating multiple graphs across multiple monitors. However, the product was apparently overwhelmed by the small computations required for running a Digital Audio Workstation, and became unusable almost immediately after one month of non-gaming use. The failure of this product ended up costing me a day of down time, far exceeding the price of the card.

Further frustration occurred because the merchant requires the original UPC for the rebate, and also requires the original UPC for an RMA, you cannot return this product to the merchant if you receive a rebate. I am now looking at both the inconvenience of the day of downtime, and the time spent hopelessly attempting to get the product replaced. I would not recommend this card to gamers, or people looking for an affordable and reliable alternative to using onboard graphics. If it managed to fail so suddenly under such light usage, I cannot imagine the failure rates while attempting to use all of it's power.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Fine for Me

Pros: Cool, quiet & fast. Markedly improved frame rates in games over the HD4670 it replaced. Skyrim on Ultra with everything enabled is silky, silky smooth. Great video & sound over HDMI on Windows 7 Media Center.

Cons: Even after using Display Driver Uninstaller to wipe my old video drivers (in Safe Mode), the 11/15/13 drivers on Asus' website didn't install correctly. Almost all of the settings were missing in Catalyst Control Center, which meant I couldn't adjust the overscan and there was a thick black border around all video output to my HDTV.

However, simply installing the latest 12/18/13 (v13.12) drivers from AMD's website on top of the Asus drivers fixed everything for me.

Other Thoughts: Working just fine on an older Core2 HTPC which I occasionally use for Steam Big Picture gaming. Not overclocking anything (didn't even install the Asus GPU Tweak software), since I want to keep everything running cool & quiet.

1 out of 5 eggsCompletely unstable

Pros: New Egg handled my return request quickly and painlessly.

Cons: The drivers crash constantly. Most of the time they reset and I just get a warning message, but sometimes I get a hard crash and have to do a hard power cycle to get out of it. I googles the wanting that I am getting and it is all over the place on various chipsets. I think it is a driver issue. I re-installed the newest drivers (after removing them) 2 times without any change. I am sending the card back today and have ordered an Nvidia 650 Ti.

2 out of 5 eggsFaulty Drivers

Pros: Fast when it works. Great improvement over my mobo integrated graphics. Plays all the games I want.

Cons: Graphics Drivers are faulty. I've used everything from the asus site, amd site, and even catalyst beta drivers. They all end up crashing when doing simple tasks such as browsing the internet. They also occasionally crash when playing games.

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered.."

Other Thoughts: I got this card for very cheap.. but would have paid the extra to have a more stable card.

AMD or ASUS - PLEASE FIX THE HD 7790 DRIVER PROBLEMS!!! IT IS MUCH COMPLAINED ABOUT ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND MESSAGE BOARDS!!!!!!
