3 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with some software

Pros: Easy to install. Downloaded drivers from Asus prior to installation. Drivers installed easily.

Cons: Some programs were just not liking the new video card. Real Flight 5.0 would freeze and require a restart whenever I changed aircraft. QuickTime and Real Player would not run video. Could not locate any additional updates that might correct the problems.

5 out of 5 eggsPlayed BD rips on a 1.2ghz Athlon Thunderbird!

Pros: played smooth video of several blu-ray rips @ 1080p, as well as various other mkv's 720p and up. No flash support as of yet, which is adobe's fault, but would be nice if it was there.

Cons: None that I can think of, for 50$ it does what it I want it to do.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Easy Install, Fits great in the AGP card slot. Installed the software from the ati.com website. Dont use the cd drivers. (there is a hotfix you need to download for the card to work or "hardware not found" will come up) I'm using the HDMI port and VGA port with dual displays with no problems. Sound isn't an issue with Windows XP (32bit). Worked out of the box I've really had zero issues with this card.

Cons: You have to remember to connect the molex connector to the card, I forgot but a warning screen came up, very nice of amd to program that in. I also had an issue with the length of the Molex plugs in my computer. I had to extend the length a bit to get it to reach the card, not really the cards fault.

Other Thoughts: I'm running this on a a600n HP Athlon 2800+ . I was worried that my stock 250 watt PSU couldn't take this card but I was wrong. I've ran WOW, MassFX 2, LOTR Online and F.E.A.R 2 all with ok frame rates (avg 28-32) on medium settings (High with WOW and LOTR online). Its not going to set records but its playable. There is some CPU lag but thats not the cards fault. Heat is also not really an issue, the fan does a great job at cooling even with OCing. Now playing videos online sucks with this cards. I dont know if its flash or what. It will play silverlight videos fine (not Netflix HD tho) It plays mpeg2, mpeg4, avi videos great from local and network drives but Hulu is choppy and other flash videos are the same. Flash 10.1 doesnt help nor the lastest video drivers. Bottom line, Very Happy with this card, worth the $50

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good card, quality looks good!

Cons: I tried installing it several times... Tried all drivers available with the same result - crash system and following restart. Almost throw it out! Yesterday I tried one more time. And get good result! Two very important thinks need to watch: 1. Card supposed to sit all the way down with the tile behind contacts to be locked! 2. In BIOS setting must be change in Advanced Chipset Features> VLink Data Rate from [8x] to [4x]. I Spend lots of time to find it out… Now I can run big graphic programs and no more crashing systems.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks with Petz Sportz

Pros: ASUS quality. Good price for an AGP 4x/8x card with 512 MB of RAM.

Runs fine on an old Pentium 4 system with a power supply rated at 400 Watts.

Cons: The card worked fine on the desktop under Windows XP, but as soon as we tried to run Petz Sports, the screen would go blank and the ATI CCC application would report that the GPU had stalled. After upgrading the driver and tinkering with various settings for 1/2 a day, I was almost ready to return the card. I did some Googling and found a thread about changing the AGP aperature size to a value other than the default. I went into the BIOS and set the AGP aperature from 64 MB to 8 MB, and it worked! Son of a gun!

Other Thoughts: The card is a replacement for an ATI Radeon 9250, with 128 MB of RAM. My daughter wanted to play Petz Sports, so we needed a Shader 2.0-enabled card. This card fit the bill.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat video card

Pros: This is a good card at a good price. it installed easily under XP on a SFF Dell PC. I haven't tested it with Vista or Win 7.

Cons: The second monitor will sometimes flicker coming out of low power state but stops after about 20 seconds

Other Thoughts: Low profile dual monitor AGP cards are not easy to find!

5 out of 5 eggsOlder Machine w /AGP? Perfect!

Pros: Works excellently! Perfect card for an older machine with an AGP slot. (Do upgrade the driver, though)

Cons: The VGA port had some trouble squeezing out; had to remove one of the hex nuts. No worries, since it's not being used anyhow.

4 out of 5 eggsAH3450 AGP

Pros: Fits well in my low profile case with the included low profile bracket.
Plays Blu-Ray without a hitch from the start in an Asus P4P800VM P4 (2.8ghz) with 1.5 gb ram.
Streams audio to tv via HDMI.

Cons: LOUD FAN. I am hoping I can remove it and put a standard case fan in the case aiming at the video card. I am using this for an HTPC in my living room, and the noise from the fan is unacceptable where I am using it.

Other Thoughts: Had BSOD at first turn on, not the fault of the card, but rather due to a conflict with some prior drivers or software installed on my system.
After that, it did take some finessing of the video settings to get it where I wanted it, but this is normal for any card.
The only reason I held back an egg is because of the loud fan.
Otherwise this is a great inexpensive card to upgrade an AGP only system for Blu Ray.

Pros: will support win7 and vista aero

Cons: do not install any drivers stay away from installing anything from disk win7 and vista will update from win update wich is the only driver that works. You may have to wait until all other updates are done and it is an optional update you have to check for

Other Thoughts: send note win7 or vista do not install driver or your doomed do not install ati catalyst
