Pros: It's working on my rig with Phenom II 955, 2x2gb DDR3 1600 RAM, and on an MSI 870A mobo with Catalyst 10.5 installed working on Windows 7 64-bit professional (I DL'd the drivers straight from AMD's website; the CD came with 10.2's if I remember correctly), hooked to my 22" 1680x1050 monitor via DVI. Most slightly older 3D games and applications (DirectX 8 and 9 level, which is the bulk of what I have on the computer) run easily at 40-60fps with AA. With supersampling AA, the framerates start to drop since supersampling actually renders the scene at higher resolutions and downscales them. Others have mentioned having considerable performance drops on Eyefinity setups which of course, also involve high resolutions.

While the 5770 is the only current generation card I've used, it seems to be a fairly good deal for the performance it provides which is why I got it. It also seems to run at a reasonable temperature though I haven't strained it for more than several hours at a time.

Cons: The only game I have any performance issue with so far is Crysis and Crysis Warhead. I'm getting as low as 20fps on some missions with a few settings set to high and most set to medium. I may need to run in DX9 mode and/or set more settings to mainstream, but some of the lower settings get unbalanced and ugly. (i.e. environment will look nice on medium but the nanosuit bumpmaps look low-res.)

Thus this card seems to slow down a bit on the newer DX10 games, but I haven't ran enough DX10 games to verify.

The main concern is that there are minor issues with the drivers. The 3D settings reset seemingly randomly which is fairly annoying, and I cannot get vsync to force on in almost every application that doesn't have a vsync option built into its menus. I also can't get transparent AA forced on for Crysis. I'm hearing that nVidia cards don't have many of these problems, but I can't be completely sure so far.

Other Thoughts: A lot of people seem to be having major driver problems, particularly with Windows 7 64-bit drivers. Others have reported complete incompatibility with several ATI cards in some games. I can't verify any of this at the moment though so for the most part I'll leave it out.

Mostly, I took off one egg for the minor driver issues. I'd give a 4.5 if possible but with some of these issues, even though they're minor, I can't give a 5. Nonetheless, I'm still very impressed by the huge performance jumps from previous graphics cards I've owned. I've been waiting 4 years to build an up-to-date computer and finally have it. Previously I was stuck doing gaming and other 3D and intensive applications on a Windows XP machine with a Pentium 4, 1GB DDR RAM, and a Radeon 9600pro on AGP4X. I got a cheap laptop a few months ago which ran twice as well but was still unable to run most current games.

Given reports on good Crossfire performance, I'll likely upgrade by getting another 5770 in the future

Pros: Great card for the price - I have it clocked @ 900 / 1300 mhz with out a problem. Runs very quiet.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: This card replaced 2- 3870 Toxic cards in crossfire. I get better frame rates with this single card than with the 2 - 3870's. I was going to get a second card but I don't need to at this time. Was nervous about 128 bit card - don't be.

Pros: This was recommended to me by a friend when I built my desktop about 6 months ago. Great card for the money runs everything I want to play at full or near full settings and gets solid fps. The price has actually gone up about 10 bucks from when I bought probably due to nvidia's lack of competition at this point. Anyhow amazing card w/o breaking the bank. With the latest driver I think it has surpassed the 4870 (last gen's single gpu top card) in performance and with the eyefinity, ddr5 memory and support for dx11 its the full next gen package at an affordable price point.

Cons: minor issues with BC2 I think the game was the problem however since they released before the game was finished imo. latest beta driver fixed it and gave a significant performance increase.

Other Thoughts: from what i've read this card scales really well in crossfire, as in you get the greatest percentage increase when adding another card compared with other cards in the series.
ATI's overdrive feature is a nice plus as well.

Pros: Great performance with one screen at 1080p.

Cons: Worked well for a week here and there, until I hooked up three monitors for Eyefinity. It was very poor performing at with three monitors. Had to turn things down to the very lowest settings to run (Just Case 2 was the game I played in). Then the random reboots started happening. I upgraded my power supply from a 450watt to a 700watt to help it out since I didn't see any error log events or warnings that it was overheating. Tried using it in single monitor mode too after the rebooting, didn't help. Kept on rebooting. Ended up returning it and getting a 5850. The new 5850 does everything well and runs cool. I do not recommend this particular model. Lots of complaints.

Other Thoughts: EYEFINITY ADVICE: If you're looking for an eyefinity with 3 monitors setup (the only *real* way to do it) you will need an active converter that changes Display Port to VGA or DVI. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO DO THIS USING THIS CARD (and the 5850 too). Some issue with pushing the signal out. The DisplayPort to DVI converter (ACTIVE ONLY!) is over $100. The DisplayPort to VGA is only like $25 on other sites (I apparently am censored from saying the name of the popular, brazillian forest named website that sells these--sorry Newegg you don't have them for sale right now from what I see). All DisplayPort to VGA should work, from what I read.

Pros: Great card. Gets me a 7.4 in Windows experience rating. My processor is the lowest thing now at 7.3. Runs GIMP and Publisher well.

Cons: none so far

Pros: Runs ok with driver 9.12 but anything more recent causes my system to freeze after the windows gui loading screen (ie no desktop, no login window).

Cons: Like I said 10.1-10.5 do not work, and since they supposedly represent a performance increase I'll probably be rma'ing this card back to egg as it's not performing as it should as well unless someone can help me figure out the problem.

Other Thoughts: Had to system restore after each driver installation, making a simple installation a 25-40min process. Used driver sweeper to clear out after each attempted installation. Formatted OS as well, same result.
Really annoying.

Pros: Haven't found anything yet to max it out. It's a great card.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: At least 50fps with high res and settings on high for Crysis, around 35fps with high res and settings on high for new games like Bad Company 2. Never felt any choppiness or lag.

I will never understand people who want to buy cards which cost 3 or 4 times what this one does to get 120fps on new games. By the time you can't play new games happily on this card there will be a new one that'll be $170 for you to buy and the combo will still be cheaper than spending $400 now.

Buy this card instead of a 5850 and spend the difference on an SSD or an i7.

Pros: It works! :)

Cons: None, for me. However, it's not like I put much to the test as of right now! Read other thoughts..

Other Thoughts: Okay, now my quick story. I don't game, at all. I play an addictive game called Continuum, but it is not graphic intense at all. I got this card, but I don't even need it! What I mean to say is that I am going into Graphic Design, so yes I need a decent card, but this is definitely more than enough for that type of work. So, sure, I'll give it 5 eggs because it definitely works for me! ALSO, READ THIS: anyone that is complaining about drivers didn't do the proper research like you are if you are reading this! As others have mentioned, just get the latest drivers from the WEBSITE. It works just fine on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate :)

Pros: Cheap, Fast... Great performance for the money.

Cons: Where to start.... Right out of the box the drivers would not install. It would get all the way thru the install process and then error out. I tried downloading the drivers from ATI and Sapphires websites, same error. Finally I extracted the driver file from the download and manually installed it. Then went and downloaded CCC from ATI's web site. Card works now but it was a huge pain. Also I was getting random lockups and screen tearing from the card. I went in to CCC and changed the default ATI overdrive settings to be a bit more conservative. And manually set the fan speed. Since I have had no trouble with it. I'm not sure why "overdrive" was turned on by default.

Other Thoughts: I would probably not buy this card again. And I would not recommend it to anyone that doesn't have considerable knowledge of computers. In the end is a decent card, but there are a lot of other choices out there.

Pros: Budget card with many high-end card features. Nice cooler that doesn't extend too far in every direction.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from 8800GTS, and was concerned about going from 320bit card to 128bit. No worries, it works just fine.
