5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card! Loud Fan...

Pros: Wonderful card for the money!! Plays every game...
Runs very cool...

Cons: very loud fan. The sound pitch kinda grates on your nerves. Do not hear when playing games at all.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the money. Just wish the fan was not quite so loud. The fan almost "sings" you a song...:(

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: No problems. Easy installation. Quiet. Fast Fast Fast! Great card and IMO best bang for your buck!

Cons: Takes two Power connectors. Could have included an HDMI output.

Other Thoughts: This card is fast. For the money you can't go wrong. Rates a 7.5 in Windows 7 (Windows Experience Index). I have a 22" monitor and at 1680x1050 it plays anything I've thrown at it. So far so good. Love the card!

5 out of 5 eggs2nd one For Crossfire

Pros: Decently fast for the money I paid (not the current price, much cheaper) and seems to run cool in Crossfire since it's not the main card in my configuration. With two cards in Crossfire I get around 20,000 score in 3Dmark 06 and if you run very high resolutions (2560x1600) it really helps in gaming. Not so much in 1920x1200 and under tho.

Cons: Doesn't vent out the back of the case completely, it does a little tho.

Other Thoughts: I am waiting for the HD 5970 to come down to reality in pricing before I consider buying them, which is why I purchased a second one of these for now. I hate seeing the RMA issue with Sapphire but hopefully I never have to use it. My system runs with an AMD Phenom II Quad Core 955 overclocked to 3.6 GHz (240x15) and 4 GB of G.Skill DDR3 RAM running at 1600 MHz to get the above mentioned 3Dmark 06 score.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Bang for the buck

Pros: Allows max settings in COP , L4d2 , others on most resolutions. Vivid colors and crisp image with video playback. Got this for under 140 free shipping during a 24hr sale.

Cons: 87.5c recorded during heavy gaming . Fan never went above 24% according to gpuz. Had to change to manual fan speed in Catalyst. Set to 65% and all is good and still relatively quiet. Almost as fast as my previously owned EVGA F-T-W 260. FPS are a bit lower but image quality similar if not a bit better . Not at all washed out like the 8800 it is replacing.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this to replace a 8800GT in my office computer to free it up for PhysX duties in my X58/I7-920/GTX295 rig.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfection

Pros: Cheap - Well it was when I bought it anyway. I got it on sale for 139.99. I see it is selling out a lot since I bought it.

Quiet - I have a full tower with plenty of room for air to move around. It seems to stay cool and quiet.

Fast - This is the most powerful graphics card I've ever owned. I can't compare it to much, but it plays Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta with all settings turned on maximum at 1440x900 resolution.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than Older Versions

Pros: Runs as cool or better than my older HD 4870's. Also has quieter fan than my oldest (Red Fan) Sapphire HD 4870. Higher clocking than older cards too.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggspretty *drool*

Pros: Everything looks sooo pretty; haven't found a reason to overclock yet. stays under 70c; 1gb gddr5; max all games i've played!!!

Cons: doesn't make me look any prettier...

Other Thoughts: dx11 why do i need a card that preforms slower and costs more just for dx11 when i only play a few dx10 games...

5 out of 5 eggsLove this card!

Pros: Great card, Runs relatively cool in my rig, Isn't too loud unless you crank up the fans to 90%-100%

Runs every game I've thrown at it at all max settings, except Bad Company 2, but my rig isn't fantastic (Dual core @ 2.6, 4gb 800mhz RAM, 32bit XP) But I'm sure if I do a little bit of upgrading it'll run things a lot better.

All and All very happy with it's performance

Cons: If you don't have a good cooling setup, I could see this card getting very hot. Some people may complain about loudness, but It doesn't bother me that much.

Other Thoughts: I've Overclocked this card pretty much to it's limit, and it still performs fantastically. No hiccups, no nothing as of now. So I'm very pleased with this card. Definitely thinking about crossfiring a second one of them in my rig for the future. I will buy from Sapphire again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card, few issues

Pros: I got this card around a year and a half ago and have been very satisfied. It plays every game I own at maximum settings on my 1440x900 res, the only thing that brings it to its knees is the end level of Crysis. I paid $200 back then; $155 for one now is a great deal.

Cons: The card ran hotter than it should have, even with the fan locked on 60%. A month ago I replaced the TIM with Shin Etsu and my core temperatures dropped by ~15*C. The factory paste was applied way too thick, and probably accounts for reviews saying that this cooler performs worse than the reference one. Once the TIM was replaced temperatures were much better (though removing the heatsink caused RAM temperatures to go up some--be warned!)

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a very good card, aside from the heating issues. A Radeon 5770 might be a more attractive option because of the lower power consumption and DX11 support, but if you're budget-conscious this is a great buy.
