5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: + Plays all/most games on maximum/high with high frame-rates. (@ 1920x1080)
+ Stays relatively cool with fan at 55% speed.
+ Quiet.
+ Catalyst Control Center easy to use.
+ Excellent price-to-performance ratio.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Sapphire and ATi/AMD make a great product, will buy again when it's time for the next upgrade! ;-)

Would of went for one of the 5800's, but they were still out of my price range at the time of this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggs2gb review

Pros: The vapor x is a great card. The only difference is this has 1gb ram. For most games that is enough. I bought the 2gb for gtaiv since it was $249 versus $400 for a gtx 285 2gb. Works well in a well venilated case. Using 10.2 drivers with amd 965be. Get 56 fps in gta iv.

Cons: Some games do not support crossfire very well. I have 2 of these and programmers seem to favor nvidia. In fact in crossfire for gta iv I lose 10 fps. But that game isported from a console.

Other Thoughts: Use a good case like a HAF 922 or Antec 1200. The larger cards like this , the 5870, the gtx 295 all want airflow so plan ahead. Also make sure you have a good psu. bsod can be from the psu being too weak. I would recommend at least 750 watt corsair or equivalent.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card For 5 months

Pros: Strong Card for a reasonable price. Drivers are available and it does a very good job displaying games on the highest settings on my 24" monitor with my current build. I am not going to post what it is because it doesn't matter. I've never had an ATI card before and was impressed at the power for the low price of the card. Will definately consider buying more in the future.

Cons: Died on me after only 5 months of ownership. I have an office where i play all my games and keep it at a nice cool 70 degrees all the time. The temperature of the card never rose above 70 degrees celsius while stress testing the system. Full load. Yet it still managed to overheat and artifact on me. My screen turned bright red and i couldn't do anything.

Other Thoughts: Sending it back to Sapphire to get it replaced. Sadly i have to pay shipping, but they have a great warranty and remind me of the ATI version of EVGA. Will try this brand again and hope it works out. I loved the card when it worked.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: -Fantastically powerful
-Stable (in Windows)
-Temperature is not an issue (at least in my case)
-Great Price for this level of performance

Cons: -Gargantuan Form Factor - Barely fit in my Antec 300 case
-ATI Linux Drivers still need work, but development is moving along at an acceptable pace.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a machine I was building for my Wife. This is the first ATI card I have ever purchased because for the longest time they offered no Linux support and even went out of their way to hinder the Linux community from creating a usable set of drivers.

ATI has since come around to open source and Linux and in a big way so I thought I would give them a try. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Plays every game I own at max specs without a hiccup (bear in mind the "heaviest" game I have is "Aion: Tower of Eternity")

5 out of 5 eggsA Screamer

Pros: - Amazing framerates. Can play all UT3-engine games on max settings.
- Crysis on Max Settings
- Name me a game. Max settings.

Cons: It's big.

Other Thoughts: This baby is a work horse like I've never seen. I'm extremely happy with this video card. As long as the game supports it, you can do it. I don't use the Catalyst Control Panel to force anything, so I never have any problems.

Amazing. I can see why ATI is winning the war this round.

2 out of 5 eggsHDMI no sound

Pros: Nice VGA for the money although the MSI Cyclone graphs out at higher frame rates.

Cons: No sound over HDMI which was the main reason I bought it.

Other Thoughts: The tech at Saphire thought it was a bad card because it shows up in device manager and setting it to default device had no effect. Unfortunately I missed the thirty day window for RMA. Can't say I wanted to be without my pc for that long anyway.

1 out of 5 eggsTHIS SUCKS REALLY BAD

Pros: good specs/score/price.

looks nice

Cons: huge, AND DOESNT WORK CORRECTLY!!!

i have been having huge problems with this card from day one. at first i thought it was my sound card, but i completely removed that and now i know for sure its this because windows keep poping up with video driver errors. and i installed the driver from the ati site. i must have had over 100 blue screen in the last month. do not buy this card...........

Other Thoughts: i love sapphire before this but this is ridiculous to have such a bad card.... not even a couple bsod here and there, but one every 30 min? horrible........

5 out of 5 eggsSapphire Vapor-X Radeon 4890

Pros: I have had this card for roughly 4 months now and I have no problem with it. I play a game called "Aion" and my single card is going at 90FPS with max settings. I also play "wow" and its going at 70FPS max settings. I also just ordered another one to make it a duo set and will tell more about it when I do get it. This is a really great card espcially for the price.

Cons: You don't own one yet.

5 out of 5 eggsReview. You need a good case for low temps

Pros: Trying to be simple here. Have had it over a month now and still no complaints.
Overclocked to 925 core and 1125 memory. Does not want to go any higher but who needs to right now?

Idle running at around 34c and under full load after hours of game play COD MW2 and Crysis warhead etc and so on did not go above 57c (good for a gpu)..

SEE OTHER THOUGHTS

Cons: Wish I would have waited for the 5750.. Not really as this card does it all..Get this instead of the 5750!

I read on here people are having problems with heat? If you have a good case with nice airflow you should have no problems with heat. I have a CM cosmos with 2 120mm fans in the front sucking air in one modded on the side sucking air in 2 120mm fans on the top blowing air out and one at the back blowing out (120mm)

Other Thoughts: You NEED to have the same amount of fans sucking air in and blowing out to make a good vacuum! Thats just what you NEED. If you dont have that balance then you just have air blowing all around your case escaping out of holes or the sides of your case! I even have my psu at the bottom and turned upside down. You cant say you have a high understanding of computers if you dont know about air flow! I have 6 120mm ultra kaze fans blowing 133 cfm each. My cpu stays below 32c even under full load. 965 BE @ 4ghz on air at 1.42 at those temps is great..

If you have a cruddy case your going to get high temps so dont take off eggs for that! Its not neweggs fault. So make sure you have good airflow and then you will get good temps.. Seems easy enough as it is!!

1 out of 5 eggsDangerous Card!

Pros: None.

Cons: Fried my monitor when installed. Motherboard beep code indicated that video card was bad.
