2 out of 5 eggso_O thermal paste

Pros: Its a great card for the money. HDMI is awesome at this price, and it does its job running the majority of the games I run on it. Check other thoughts for some more thoughts here. Seats nice and snug with two screws to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. Great performance when it isn't overheating.

Cons: I play call of duty 4 with everything set on max and it runs great. I load up Oblivion, and the screen is one big graphic mess. Can't watch a video without the drivers going into an infinite loop and bsoding on me. The newer the drivers the worse the problem is. Check other thoughts for more on this, because there is an underlying issue there.

Other Thoughts: Originally I thought it was just a bad card. It seemed that regardless of the driver the card would end in a bsod. I checked every driver revision and none of them changed anything, so I ended up looking at the card itself to see if there was anything majorly wrong with it. Sapphire messed up in manufacturing. I eventually pulled the fan/heatsink off to see if there was a problem under the hood. The amount of thermal paste applied is insane. Anyone else having this problem should just wipe it off and reapply paste of choice, and it wouldn't hurt to upgrade to a better heatsink if you have the money to drop on it. I haven't finished with this particular fix, as I need to order some paste...

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible!

Pros: My first Pcie 2.0 video card, and wOw! what a huge difference! Superb graphics without any flaws, and FAST! This isn't the biggest and baddest card Sapphire makes, but it does EVERYTHING I had hoped it would and more!

Cons: None so far, honestly!

Other Thoughts: Setup: Phenom II X4, Gigabyte AM3 mobo, Sapphire 4830 512M DDR3 graphics cars, (2)x(1) gig gskill 1333 mem, 360gig WD SATA drive. in a Raidmax Smilodon case. Coolermaster modular silent pro 600W pwr sup.

5 out of 5 eggsSOLID

Pros: This video card has exceeded my expectations, easy to install, comes with vga, dvi, and hdmi. The video card comes with a 6 pin power connecting using only one 4 pin molex which is a huge plus, most have to have 2 molex connectors.

Cons: The video card did not come with vga to dvi or dvi to vga adapters. Most video cards I have ordered come with atleast one, usually 2. No where near enough to dock an egg but a point to be made if you are banking on using both as vga or dvi.

Other Thoughts: 60 fps on wow on ultra settings with the screen in wide resolution and all the way zoomed out. 30 fps in Dalaran but that is going to happen.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems like a solid card for the price.

Pros: My last card was a Radeon x1650 build by Diamond. Compared to my old card this new one by Sapphire is practically an ice queen. I'm running both of them on two separate machines and the old one is running 60c on the desktop while the new one is running 45c while playing World of Warcraft and overclocked by a decent bit.

Likewise while the card shows its budgetary constraints, it won't play Crysis at maximum settings with a frame rate much over 30 FPS for example, it still manages to provide very good quality performance for every game I've played since buying it and remaining very stable while doing so.

Cons: The only cons I can think of are that it has a tendency to do a soft crash where Windows restarts the drivers if I play The Last Remnant while over-clocking the card and the over-sized nature of the cooling equipment.

Since the card can easily handle all but the most extreme graphics in that game at stock speeds and I bought a motherboard where such over-sized cooling wouldn't block a slot these aren't really major cons.

Other Thoughts: When I bought this card I looked at both its current performance, how it might fare in the future, how it stacks up to comparably priced nVidia cards, and how cost-effective it would be to buy a second one of these cards down the road and Crossfire them instead of upgrading to a whole new card. Taking all those factors into account this was one of the best cards on the market at the time I purchased it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for HTPC

Pros: Card is quiet (when under typical HTPC load). I do not play FPS so, I do not know how loud the card can get, but under typical streaming HD load, it is absolutely silent. The HDMI audio/video work flawlessly. I recommend this card as long as you have room in your PC.

Cons: It is BIG for an HTPC card. (@SirShaggy) The card is 8.5" long inside the case and the PCI express power hangs out the back so you should have at least 9" inside your case to make this work without having awkward connections.

Other Thoughts: I have a Silverstone case with a full size ATX board and it barely fits my case, but the HTPC is running great.

5 out of 5 eggsQuestion

Pros: So as to not detract from the quality reviews I am giving this 5 stars for my question. You may pull the question after it has been answered. How long is this card? I don't care if it's mm, cm or inches. I just need to know for a mATX HTPC. I can't find the info anywhere on the net, including the manufacturers site.

Cons: I don't own this card yet.....

Other Thoughts: Sorry for the question, If any future reviewers will respond, I appreciate it. I only have 8.75" of space available and want this card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mid-level card!

Pros: Great big heat-sink/fan, easy overclocker (running mine at 700 core/1000 memory), runs cool (see comment about great big heatsink/fan :) ). Fast and stable. Running Far Cry 2 on all high settings and 2xAA at 1620x1080@60hz via HDMI and frame rates are smooth. Comes with 6 pin power adaptor. 7.1 audio through HDMI is a big plus!

Cons: Did I mention the great big heatsink/fan? make sure you have an open slot below this card and that your HD will clear it. The latest drivers (catalyst 9.3 I believe) don't work well. Stick with the supplied driver until ATI/AMD resolve this. Not the cards fault, so I didn't take away any "eggs" for it.

Other Thoughts: if you want something that'll run all of your current games at great frame rates until the DX11 games come out (and the uber expensive video cards with them!) then get this card. You will not be disappointed!

4 out of 5 eggsPCI E 2.0!!!

Pros: It is a well built card with a big fan takes up two bays. Card is stabily overdriving to 700/1000 failed at 1200 tho. It seems like a good card boots up right away and seems to run decently cool as of yet.

Cons: The card is meant for 2.0 slots only... I know everyone says 2.0 cards work on 1.0 slots but trust me they dont. I thought the card was junk but when i took it over to my friends house with the same setup as mine 1.0 pcie slots it didnt work either. now my new setup with my gigabyte ma790xud49 it was immediately recognized. This card doesnt like 1.0 slots some others might but this one will not!!!

Other Thoughts: The newest ati drivers crashed when i downloaded them from their site so i stuck with the ones that came on the disc. I guess some others have had issues with the new ones being a bit glitchy
