Worked Great!
- Pros: I installed this in a 7 year old Dell Dimension 4600, P4 @ 2.8 GHz, 2.5 Gig Ram running XP sp3, using a 24" Samsung LCD TV/Monitor. Deleted the old NVidia drivers, loaded the new drivers from the CD and had no problems.
- Cons: Can't think of any so far (It's only been a day).
It was my monitor!
- Pros: Works as it should.
- Cons: Bad tech support, and a $15 fee for RMAs after the Newegg warranty goes away.
Tech support simply said 'Get the updated drivers', well now they can say check for the grounding.
- Other Thoughts: I made a review back when I first got this card, but found the problem that I was having was not the fault of the card. It was the monitor, and the adaptor. There was little or no grounding.
I spliced in a new monitor cord, and added a grounding jumper cord to the adaptor, and lo and behold, it works!
Good for the money.
- Pros: Good AGP card. Can play some newer 3d games at good FPS on low-mid settings.
Runs older and less demanding games like a charm and high setteing and good res.
- Cons: No longer the 2nd best AGP card, now it's like the 5th.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this for a friend's PC after I noticed they were running on a low-end geforce4. It has been working just fine for about five months, now.
If you are limited to AGP, this is a good card, but the HD4670 can be had for a tad bit more. The 4670 is about 1.5 - 2x the performance of the 3670.
when I bought it, this was a very good buy but It's just not as good a deal now.
