5 out of 5 eggsEVGA is the elite of computing!!!!

Pros: Love EVGA their products are slick design, and reliable. I've continue to trust EVGA with all my computing needs. I have all EVGA products powering my computer beside the power pack. No faults after over a year running as like it just came out of the box. Because of EVGA's awesome reliability I will only use their products.

Cons: None!!

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive Little Beast

Pros: Unquestionable build quality; the PCB and components are built to last and are of a weight and quality that is observable once in your hands. Northbridge and southbridge heatsinks are equally impressive in their capacity to absorb and dissipate heat (although, not necessarily a con, they can get quite hot when your Core i7 is overclocked). Gigabit ethernet proved its worth on downloads and I'm absolutely in love with the multiple fan jumpers and reset/power buttons. They will come in hand when benchmarking and overclocking - believe me. If you are using only one dual slot video car, this is the board for you! One can use two but it would make things a bit tight (under air cooling). Plenty of clearance for my massive Thermal****t U120eXtrem heatsink. So many options in the BIOS its sick!

Cons: It won't type my papers for me...

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product.. but.

Pros: Great product, well package.. biggest bang for the buck

Cons: Only thing i didnt like was that if you wanna use SLI you cant use the PCI apapter because the viedo cards are to huge and take up to much space.. i guess thats why they call it a micro right??

5 out of 5 eggsEasy on the eyes ...

Pros: This board just looks awesome. Seriously, I don't think I've stared at something for so long and been so happy since I watched the last Victoria Secrets swimsuit special on the tube. That being said, its small size, awesome color scheme, and plenty of power under its hood I can say I'm pretty happy with what I bought. I'm sure whomever is on the fence with this board, take the leap. I was happy I did.

Also, this is the only board I've ever had that had an on-board LCD readout for diagnostics codes/temp readouts ... which is pretty AWESOME!

Cons: Since it is a Micro board, they had to compact everything in such a little space, so needless to say I wouldn't recommend this board to anyone who's going to set up a dual SLI video card config. Reason being, is if you have dual height video cards, they would touch top to bottom as well as completely cover the boards only PCI Express x1 slot. Also, the -case headphone/mic input to onboard audio- connector is located right next to that PCIEx1 slot, which makes it impossible to use if you plan on using that PCIEx1 port. So if you do plan on using a dual SLI setup and your cases mic/heaphone jack, I would stay clear of this board ... but if you don't plan on doing either, just buy it and be happy :)

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately I drew the short straw on my order and was sent a faulty mobo right out of the box :(. What can ya do right? BUT Newegg's RMA process is simple. It took me no more than 2 minutes to apply for a RMA number, and within 1 hour of them receiving the board they sent me out a new one. Pretty AWESOME again. I'm still waiting for the new board to arrive so I'm crossing my fingers lightning doesn't strike twice. Either way, just wanted to share the experience.

4 out of 5 eggsFollow up to previous review

Pros: It's been over a year since purchase, and it's still working nicely, but not without sacrifices.

Cons: At almost exactly the one year mark, I started getting black screen crashes left and right. I was starting to use very intensive programs such as After Effects CS4, which may have caused some sort of permanent instability. The solution was to reset my i7 920 from its 3.2GHz OC back to the regular 2.66GHz.

Sacrificing my OC truly didn't bother me at all as it allowed me to use run my RAM at 1600 finally. With the OC, I had to run it at 1333. Even so.. i7 920s (especially the D0 stepping, which I have) should be easily overclocked on air alone much higher than 3.2GHz, but this MB did not allow that.

Other Thoughts: If you are big into overclocking, you may want to skip over this one. If not, I really do recommend this board. It's beautiful and functional, albeit compact. The reviewers below who got DOAs are just the unlucky few who got a bad board.

Remember: For every 50 people who are satisfied with a purchase, only 1 will write a review. Unsatisfied customers are very likely to write reviews.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but hot Northbridge

Pros: Decent broad, lots of bios options and connections

Cons: two problems - Northbridge runs at 70C with stock settings and I can't get my case power and HDD LEDs to work

Other Thoughts: CPU: Intel i7 930
MB: EVGA X58 Micro SLI
RAM: G.SKILL PI Series 6GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Case: Rosewill R102-P-BK
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ600MXSP 600W
Video: POWERCOLOR PCS+ AX5770
HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA
OPD: SAMSUNG Black Blu-ray Combo Drive

Also, I picked up the HR-05 to install on the motherboard, as people on the EVGA forums recommend it to fix the high temp issue.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bought this a month ago, and man was it easy to set up. Has a memory installation guide, attached to the memory slots, shows you have to install and WHERE to install the RAM, which is very helpful for people who aren't too familiar with tri-channel DDR3.

Also, 2 16x PCIe lanes. It is very hard to find a motherboard that won't downgrade SLI setups to 2 8x PCIe. Your GPUs will not bottleneck at all on this board.

Cons: SATA cables could be placed better, one rack of mine is kinda coming off, but still have the other 4. Otherwise, no issues at all.

Other Thoughts: Very good motherboard, especially for the money.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy From EVGA

Pros: None. DOA

Cons: After 4 weeks two of the memory slots stopped recognizing memory. Contacted EVGA for warranty replacement. Sent the unit back in the original static box in the original box surrounded by peanuts in a larger box. RMA received the product and wanted to charge me $65 to replace bent pins. I had taken a picture before the item was shipped and confirmed that no pins were bent. They sent me back the item on the bottom of a large box covered in peanuts with no static bag or motherboard box. The board is now fried from static and refuses to post. This board was posting before the item shipped. I have to file a complaint with the attorney general now because the unit is completely dead now that their warranty team has destroyed it.

Other Thoughts: Please research EVGA as 1000s of forum users have experienced similar issues with this and other EVGA motherboards. Memory slots dead, EVGA refuses to warranty without accepting payment, refuse to pay them and have the board come back poorly shipped and literally destroyed.
