Pros: Inexpensive, specifications fit my needs.

Other Thoughts: This board has four memory slots: Two are DDR2 and two are DDR3. These chips don't work together.

Rating: 5/5Worked flawlessly for me.
Pros: Full featured and extremely cheap. The Bios isn't packed with useless bloat. Runs low power chips and unlocks them (Sempron) Compatible with a wide array of hardware.
Cons: No hdmi out on built in video card. Ubuntu 13 does not seem to play nicely with the built in videocard. It will work, however, all of the proprietary drivers cause the Unity window manager to run laggy. And if you use the open source driver polling the vga for things like driver settings in the control panel cause the whole display to garble up. Very flakey.
Other Thoughts: I feel compelled to give my experience after so many others have slammed this board. I haven't done a new system build in 15 years and I was shocked at how easily this came together. This board is one part that I didn't get off of newegg. If others want to follow after me here is what I used:
-Topower case with built in 300W power supply. -Sempron 145 -8gig kingston ddr3 1333 ram -250g 7200rpm SATA hard drive -Nvidia 9600GT pci express video card.
The video card and hard disk I got cheap off of auctions. With a build centered around one of the new FM1 chips and the built in Radeon GPU's I could have had similar results at the same price point. However, going this route and using the 9600GT, I still have a videocard with a large amount of dedicated ddr3 memory. Also, being an older card it is well supported in linux.
The Asrock board is working great so far. I was able to unlock the second core on my Sempron 145 and now I'm running 64bit dual core. Initially the board detected my memory as 1066. This was easily changed to 1333 in the bios.
I feel that overall this is a great board and I will definitely by from ASrock in the future.

Rating: 1/5Might want to stay away from this one
Pros: The board did not burn up. Newegg got it to me cheap and fast.
Cons: I got this board to use my 3.6GHz AM2 processor on, and my 4G memory. It did not like my memory, so I thought I would just keep the board and get new memory and a new CPU. Finally found some memory that was compatible and then started looking for a CPU that was on ASROCK's approved list. Well long story short: Newegg does not carry any CPU that is on ASROCK's approved source list.that is over 3 GHz. So if I want to use this board I have to gamble that a non approved CPU will work. I really hate that.
Other Thoughts: Before buying this board look at ASROCK's approved CPU and Memory list to make sure what you have or what you want to use will work. Also note this board will only supply power up to 95W for the CPU.

Rating: 5/5So far so good.
Pros: Did not arrive DOA. You won't find this on the Newegg site, but this board supports AM3,AM2+/AM2 processors which includes my ancient Athlon 64x2 Dual Core processor.
Cons: Only two of the four slots is DDR2, being a micro board, lacks a lot of additional slots I am used to.
Other Thoughts: Got the Asrock N68C-GS installed in my case. I had an old Athlon 64x2 Dual Core processor that I wanted to use (my Foxconn N570SM2AA-8EKRS2H bit the dust) and the board took it and my DDR 2 ram sticks with no problems. Windows 8 was up and running an minutes. Great little board – hope to have no problems in the future.

Rating: 4/5It has its ups & Downs
Pros: Good upgrade board you can use good old equipment and newer prossors and ram
Cons: Slower front side bus speed for newer chips if Asrock would speed this up they would corner the market on rebuild boards, Asrock fetures do not work, The Keyboard and mouse turn on that a lot of us buy Asrocks for don't work with windows 7 even when I checked jumpers no effect.
Other Thoughts: Use newegg Power supply calculator it supprised me I had a 430 watt PS and with the chip it calculated out to 480 watt bought 550 watt PS no problem this kept me from having another DOA like I seen in the reviews on this board.

Rating: 5/5Great low cost Mobo
Pros: Inexpensive, works with Linux (Ubuntu 12.04), compatible with old PATA drives
Cons: Video driver does not display correct resolution for Ubuntu boot-up splash screen (but no deductions because, hey, it's just a splash screen).
Other Thoughts: Bought this with an Athalon II x2 to replace a dying HP Intel Core2 Mobo, reused everything in the HP box except the Mobo, processor, and memory (including PATA drives). Works great as a general-purpose basement/guest computer doubling as a home file server. Running Ubuntu 12.04.

Rating: 1/5Defective
Pros: Compatible with a lot of things
Cons: Kept locking up and every time I tried to load their disk I would get a memory error. Swapped out memory, no change. Replaced board with an MSI that cost $10 and has more performance, problem solved
Manufacturer Response:
Dear ASRock Customer
We sincerely apologize that you having difficulty with mainboard. For the future reference, the locking up issue, please check the CPU and system is not overheating, reseat the CPU with thermal compound to assure fully contact with the CPU. Set the BIOS default, test with 1 stick memory, try with another known good memory if its same issue. As always, we appreciate your purchase and constructive reviews are welcome.
Thank you
