2 out of 5 eggsSadly the only z77 board on the market ...

Pros: The only z77 board you can find ...
good uefi bios

Cons: Asrock didnt honor their mail-in rebate even if i sent them everything in time Great joke + you only have 10 day after the purchase date to send it ... another great joke good job scamming 30$

Over Priced

a lot of noise in the microphone started after less than a month of use and no the problem is not my tiamat 7.1

ugly color... but yeh when you have a i7 3770 you have to find a motherboard thats fit it ....

Other Thoughts: After all i kind of regret thats i brought this board .. i would have been better selling my i7 3770 and brought something else and not having to buy this motherboard ... newer motherboard have twice the functionality and feature for half the price.

So think twice before buying this .. and dont count on the mail-in rebate they will probly just scam you like they did to me.

i'm taking 1 egg for the noise problem in the microphone , 1 for the price and another 1 for not honoring their rebate.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 2 months - nice while it lasted

Pros: UEFI Bios
Excellent Overclocking all around.
Great specifications.

Cons: It arrived with a broken PCI Express 3.0 x16 clip.
Dead USB port on the back.
Feels fairly flimsy

It's sorta-kinda DEAD AFTER 2 MONTHS OF REGULAR USE

Other Thoughts: This board is easily the best available for LGA1155 unless you want to pay close to $300, and honestly, I think it's better than the next best boards as far as specifications go.

Though the clip was broken {cons} it works fine with the GPU secured to the back of the case, so that's not a terribly big problem. Like the clip, I'm not terribly worried about the dead USB port on the back {it was a 2.0 for me} as the board has quite a number of ports besides that one.

UPDATE:
The above cons held true up until up until the board died during a routine cable clean-up. Completely unplugged the computer, made sure all my cables were sorted, plugged it back in...deader than a door-nail with no readily visible problems.

RMA'd to Newegg, beyond their ability to do anything with. Don't know if I'll buy ASRock again. I was already wary as it's a brand I've never used and a lot of reviews seem to start their boards as hit and miss...guess we'll see, but for now think I'm going to get something I know I can trust.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Kristopher,

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
For the USB ports, please turn the power off, clear the CMOS.
Test these USB ports in the UEFI BIOS with keyboard and mouse to verify USB hardware is working.
If they are working in the BIOS that indicates hardware part is working.

1 out of 5 eggsDreaded A2 Debug error right out of the box.

Pros: Board is very aesthetically pleasing.

Cons: A2 error out of the box. After following all advice on Tom's hardware website I decided to RMA this mobo back.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Lee,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Code A2 should have screen display, please press F2 to check if it changed to code Ab (BIOS screen).
If does not seen the screen display, please check the monitor connection, cable and monitor has set to appropriate output source.
Test with another known good monitor if does not seen the screen.

The Dr.Debug codes are technical reference and should be ignored once get the screen display.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None

Cons: All the fans came on, nothing else happened. Went through all the steps I saw in several of the other posts. Took out my video card, took out ram, reset CMOS, reseated the CPU, unplugged everything. Nothing. no beeps, no LED error code. just fans. It doesn't even beep with no ram in it. All the parts are back in my old MSI board working fine.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Don,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard whether the issue is resolved.
• Unplug the ATX power, remove all components from mainboard.
• Remove the mainboard from chassis, place it on mainboard’s box.
• Clear the CMOS.
• Check the mainboard’s CPU contact pins are normal (should be pointing same way and pattern).
• Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan if socket pins are normal.
• Test with single memory module.
• Test with onboard video (CPU with iGPU/APU or test with VGA card).
• Connect the monitor.
• Plug the 24 + 8 or 4 pins ATX power.
• Turn on the power (using onboard power button) to check if its post.
