3 out of 5 eggsPricey but easy to set up

Pros: -Easy to set up
-Holes and screws align very nicely
-Nice space between CPU/RAM and first PCI-E slot if your setup is simple

Cons: -buggy software if you plan on using it's ASRock Extreme Tuning (very laggy). I can't even adjust the speed of my fans from the software. For monitoring I am sticking with HWMonitor.
-board extremely flexible, puts a scare in you when you try to connect the power cable

Other Thoughts: I had some extra hardware laying around after I built a newer computer. With the remaining parts, I decided to use it to build a small computer for my parents. Unfortunately, the CPU is an LGA 1155 socket which my local computer stores does not supply, except for one micro ATX board which is no good for me because I also happen to have an 212 EVO aftermarket CPU cooler and a 660 TI. It is also unfortunate that this board is kinda pricey for an outdated CPU socket. Otherwise I think it's a solid board. I have built myself and friends a few computer in the past and actually two recently. Personally I use gigabyte and MSI while coincidentally, the two PC I built for my two friends were ASRock and in my experience with those and this current one I bought, the board are all kind of flexible. Definitely would not be my go to say in the future I want to build another rig.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful product, warps easily.

Pros: Worked for about a year.

Cons: Flimsy
Warps easily
Not good to use with heavy HSF

Other Thoughts: I ran it with an i5 3570k. This motherboard worked fine for a year, but exactly one year after, I started experiencing complete freeze ups. Tried changing RAM, CPUs, Power Supply, resetting CMOS, everything. When I finally got it working again, even updated BIOS. Another year passed by without incident, only for it to happen again. Now it's been 3 years and the motherboard is stuck at error code 10(PEI Cored Started). Tried replacing all parts and motherboard seems to have warped somehow.
Extremely flimsy!! I'd avoid! Now my 1200 dollar system won't boot up because of this thing!

5 out of 5 eggsJust installed - So Far So Good

Pros: The size of the mobo and all of it's connections

Cons: So far I do not see any except for CMOS battery location, but like others stated, it really isn't used much and there is a reset button so you don't have to remove the battery and replace it.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this product because I have a LGA1155 CPU (i5 3570k) and I didn't want to fork out a ton of money for a new CPU, so I got the best that I could within the LGA1155 range. The board came packaged very nice, it's flimsy but it's a circuit board, they normally are flimsy. Some are build thinker than others, but they all bend to an extent. I install the board, was rough and gentle at times, no issues. I like this board but I did upgrade from an MSI H61 chipset, so maybe because it has better features and has SATA 6Gbps I notice the difference. But it's worth every penny thus far as I can tell. I will come back and update my review if I run into anything that is worth reporting.

1 out of 5 eggsOf course it's the same problem as others upon delivery

Pros: Dr. Debug

Cons: Same issues as others have had, error code 55, tested each memory module individually, and both B1 and B2 gave me the error 55 (at least the Dr. Debug works). I ordered this board less than two weeks ago so, buyer beware.

Other Thoughts: As another person has said also, I'll be returning it and hoping they don't sent another faulty motherboard (but I've read other people have issues and if there are bent pins then asrock won't do anything and will charge you to fix it). I think it's great incentive for a company to send out boards with bent pins and blame it on the customer...they make more money that way right?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Lena,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard whether the issue is resolved.
• Turn the power off, clear the CMOS.
• Check the mainboard’s CPU contact pins are normal (should be pointing same way and pattern).
• Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan if socket pins are normal.
• Test with single memory module on each slot one by one to verify slots.

3 out of 5 eggsGets the job done, for the most part.

Pros: -Easy Overclocking
-Has Clear CMOS button
-Lots of USB 2.0/3.0
-Pretty much the only mobo available that is compatible with my 2600k.
-Dual Channel memmory
-Plenty of SATA 6gb/s ports
-Multiple PCI-E

Cons: -Drivers are terrible
-Had to take out the CMOS battery because it wouldn't let me undo the overclock
-After a year, the USB 3.0 has stopped working. I've updated drivers and nothing has fixed it.
-Difficult to file an RMA with Asrock.
-Not enough fan headers on mobo.
-Can hear electrical audio interference through the front audio port

3 out of 5 eggsGreat if everything works.

Pros: One of the last new motherboards I could find for my 2600 as I still see no reason to upgrade even with the arrival of Skylake. Well designed, spacing for SLI is good.

Cons: -Don't like the location of the 8 pin connector, a stretch for my PSU.
-The top USB 3.0 ports are dead. Not a big enough reason for me to RMA a product that they probably can't replace. Annoying but as this let me upgrade my system to an SLI configuration I'll sacrifice those 2 ports over having to upgrade everything. Saved up on my deployment to upgrade and this was a let down.

Other Thoughts: If you can find it new and have the 2500k or 2600k it is an easy choice. If used check for problems as mine was new and still had problems.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Steven,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please test these particular USB 3.0 ports (using USB keyboard and mouse) in UEFI BIOS to verify the ports are working.
If these ports are working in the BIOS, that indicates hardware is functioning.
IF Windows 7, please download and install the USB 3.0 drivers at link below.

2 out of 5 eggsSadly the only z77 board on the market ...

Pros: The only z77 board you can find ...
good uefi bios

Cons: Asrock didnt honor their mail-in rebate even if i sent them everything in time Great joke + you only have 10 day after the purchase date to send it ... another great joke good job scamming 30$

Over Priced

a lot of noise in the microphone started after less than a month of use and no the problem is not my tiamat 7.1

ugly color... but yeh when you have a i7 3770 you have to find a motherboard thats fit it ....

Other Thoughts: After all i kind of regret thats i brought this board .. i would have been better selling my i7 3770 and brought something else and not having to buy this motherboard ... newer motherboard have twice the functionality and feature for half the price.

So think twice before buying this .. and dont count on the mail-in rebate they will probly just scam you like they did to me.

i'm taking 1 egg for the noise problem in the microphone , 1 for the price and another 1 for not honoring their rebate.
