JetWay's HA07-Ultra-LF motherboard has its eye on the future. The ATX form factor motherboard is designed to support the latest Socket AM2+ Phenom processors with its onboard AMD 790GX and SB750 chipsets. It's not only ready for Windows Vista, it's also ready for the upcoming AM3 CPUs. Performance is accelerated with support for Hyper Transport 3.0 technology and the 8GB of DDR2 1066 memory also has dual channel support.

Further enhancements can be achieved with AMD's OverDrive technology. The integrated Radeon HD3300 video chipset has DirectX capabilities and can be augmented by two PCI Express 2.0 x16 cards with ATI Hybrid Crossfire and ATI CrossfireX capabilities with DVI or HDMI output and full HD Blu-Ray playback. Eight channels of HD audio make the most of any video experience.

An even dozen USB 2.0 ports allows for nearly unlimited possibilities in connecting peripheral devices and the integrated Gigabit Ethernet LAN lets you connect to other networked devices at broadband speeds without data bottlenecks. Local storage is handled by six 3Gb/s SATA connectors with the capability for multiple RAID configurations for added security and performance. An eSATA connector offers the same speeds for external drives.

  • newegg AMD K10 Processor Support The JetWay JHA07-ULTRA-LF supports AM2 AMD processors including the Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64, Athlon FX and Sempron series as well as the latest AM2+ K10 AMD processors.

With the HDMI interface ensuring lossless transmission of high-quality HD video signals, play back HD contents on your computer and view them on your large HDTV set for more comfort.
  • newegg SATA II with RAID Support The second generation SATA interface delivers up to 300MB/sec transfer speed, doubling that of the first generation Serial ATA. The on-board six SATA II ports support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for better performance, enhanced data security, and flexible capacity upgrades.
  • newegg Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity The JetWay JHA07-ULTRA-LF features a fast Gigabit network interface for high-speed LAN connections at up to 1000Mbps data transfer rates with advanced security features to ward off malicious attacks. 1 out of 5 eggsManufacturer help?

Pros: The board itself looks amazing, and is pretty sturdy. The error LCD is in above itself a help too.

Cons: I couldn't get it to work.

Other Thoughts: It kept posting a C1 Error on me regardless of what RAM I used (even borrowed my friend's RAM). It could be my CPU, but that's highly doubtful. Jetway, help me out on this.

2 out of 5 eggsNice while it lasted.

Pros: Nice features for the price, worked pretty nice while it did. Lots of overclocking options for the price and the time it was made. Worked with my Phenom X4 940

Cons: Died after 15 months. Had odd booting issues where it would get stuck in C1 mode according to the onboard LED display. Filling all 4 mem slots and going for ganged 128-bit mode would cause it to freeze at boot time. Northbridge would get too hot for really good overclocking.

Other Thoughts: Had far more problems with the HA07 generic which had two bad mem slots, wouldn't boot with a x4 core even though it was supposed to support them, and glitchy.

So far, even though Jetway had some good features at low prices, the quality control leaves a lot to be desired. Looks like I'll be going Biostar or MSI in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsSpend a Lil' More

Pros: Affordability, OC options in the BIOS

Cons: Too many. I bought the HA06-GT. Thought I'd give it a ride. Had a an AMD 7750. Upgraded to a Propus. No problem, it booted, but again, "unknown processor" in Windows and CPU-Z. That was with the latest BIOS update.

Now I don't know about you, but their support site said I installed BIOS wrong. The minute I entered and typed all the command line parameters ( p/n/del/a blah blah blah) verbatim FROM A FLOPPY, the BIOS got scrambled.

Do you think they would have a bootable ISO to CD??
No.
Do you think they support CPU's made months ago?
No.
Do you think they would have clear instructions?
No.

Filled out some Excel type spreadsheet for the RMA. I have to ship it to them, pay $10 (for what?) and return shipping. I will have spent almost half what I paid.

If you like command line parameters from floppy's, filling out spreadsheets, AND having to pay for your RMA, then

just then, maybe a Jetway is right for you.

Other Thoughts: Gonna stick with the name brands from now on. Sorry Jetway, lump ECS in there too.

The whole AMD value thing is lost when mobo mfg's all thumb their noses at new processor support.

From now on, I am going to look at who updates their BIOS the most, and easiest.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: This motherboard does what it is supposed to, and for the price it is excellent. The HD3300 graphics make quick work of all of the casual gamers needs, and the on-board sound is relatively good (not for headphones though).

Cons: The only cons I can think of are the liability that you could accidentally bend a pin on the usb, audio, and other front panel connectors, and that the motherboard may not fit in a smaller case.

Other Thoughts: I didn't actually buy this specific model, it was the lesser version, with the different RAM specs, but it still runs like a charm.

1 out of 5 eggsAVOID THIS COMPANY

Pros: Not one because they are sooooo unprofessional.

Cons: They do not respond to any of your emails. I cannot submit this without placing an egg. It should read 0 eggs.

Other Thoughts: I have had this motherboard for less than a few months. I decided to update the BIOS and low and behold....CRASH! I have sent them emails about this problem so it can be replaced. Only received 1 email about my RAM. My RAM is fine. Everything that was on this motherboard is sitting on a cheap one and everything works 100%. I emailed them back and have not received any email from them for the last 2 weeks. Never from this company again. Search elsewhere. So very unprofessional.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: The features are good but dont let that fool you.

Cons: This motherboard worked weird for about a month. Odd little hangs, slow ethernet connection, weird reboots etc.

All of that could have been overlooked but then all of the sudden it hard crashed. It at first blue screened but it would then not reboot. I reset the bios per the lousy manual instructions. No luck. I tried new ram, cpu, power supply, even moved it into a different case all with no sucess. It is acting like the bios simply was erased.

The board powers on but it will not do anything after that. The on board display reads "FF" which I found out means failure to boot. I KNEW THAT!!!

The corporate web site is awful to say the least, support is a regular long distance call. For the amount of trouble spend an extra $20 and get a Asus or DFI.

Other Thoughts: none
