3 out of 5 eggsPretty sweet

Pros: While it ran, it was awesome. No troubles or anything. Did what I expected it to do.

Cons: After 13 months, it crapped out on me. I wish it hadn't.

1 out of 5 eggsno post! no power! no good!

Pros: looked good.

Cons: this motherboard was a small upgrade for my grandpa. he needed a cheep computer with upgraded technology. this computer build would be my 7th build. I got the package and it looked good brand new. I then proceed to install without any complications everything installed perfectly. all wires were checked and double checked. all hardware was seated properly and double checked. turned on the power and no post. however there is power from the green led on the mobo was on. but by clicking the power button I got nothing no boot now fans turning on ...nothing. thinking it could be the power supply I quickly took my PSU out of my PC and installed Rosewill PSU into my PC. turned the power on and my PC booted so it was not the PSU. nor the ram for I took it out and used it on my PC with no complication. so I took the CPU off the mobo and noticed all the pins bent to a angle. so I RMA the mobo. new egg received the RMA mobo inspected it and sent me a email saying it failed the RMA inspections. because the CPU socket pins we're damaged. drrrrr! that's why I RMA it in the first place. sigh! oh well I've built several computers with no problems with New Egg. this issue was my first. so I bought me another mobo. but lost $69 due to a fail RMA. :-(

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for leaving your feedback.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the motherboard. Our motherboards go through rigorous inspection before leaving the factory, and all come with a protective CPU socket cover to prevent accidental damage to the socket pins. We recommend sending the board in for RMA-repair. Unfortunately, this type of damage is not covered under warranty and a standard repair cost will apply. To proceed, please contact us again at 1-812-282-2787 or use the online RMA submittal form at: http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx. 1 out of 5 eggsFailing video, bad NIC

Pros: Nice BIOS screens, includes SATA cables and a printed manual.

Cons: After running for a week I noticed thin horizontal lines on the monitor. These remain under any resolution selected, as well as when I'm in the BIOS setup.
Also, the NIC is no longer detected, so no network.
This is being returned.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

Thank you for your review.

2 out of 5 eggsNeed to Know

Pros: I want to purchase a motherboard.i want to go with intel B75 platform or equivalent. I want to get board with 100% high quality conductive polymer capasitors, two ram slots ,turbo boost technology support. So I have sorted out board, which is Asus P8B75-M LX PLUS.my problem is when I go to asus website and read the specification sheet, there I couldn't find Intel turbo boost technology2.0 but when I had downloaded user manual of this board,I got many extra features in it like Turbo boost2.0,lucid logix virtu mvp technology and many more. So which one is correct?i want to buy it and it's urgent.please help me to find out a mobo having all my requirements.

Cons: no cons..

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

The manual's information is accurate. Yes, the P8B75-M LX PLUS does, in fact, support Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. You would need to have a CPU that supports this feature as well. For more information on supported CPUs, please visit Intel's webpage.

2 out of 5 eggsThis cost me money

Pros: Could not talk about because of issues. The motherboard does work was able to test with another video card. Don't have a DVI-D

Cons: The board as a bad VGA port. So my choice is either buy a DVI-D adapter, PCI express Video Card or RMA and wait a week.

No DVI-D adapter within the box so you will need to get DVI-D cable or adapter. Note: DVI-D port is new and most #Video Cards have DVI-A ports.

Other Thoughts: I don't think ASUS is testing their motherboards. The fact parts labeled Foxconn found within the box, leads me to believe this board was sub out to Foxconn to build. I had no problems in the past with ASUS products but our company will now reconsider.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your review.

I am sorry you are having issues with your motherboard. Have you tried another VGA cable/monitor to confirm the motherboard is causing the issue? If you have confirmed this already, I would recommend following through with the RMA before the return period ends. Also, if the motherboard is under warranty, we can have the unit repaired under under this term as well. Your reference number is 3010531.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Great ASUS Board

Pros: - Great Value
- ASUS Quality
- Important features in a small package

Cons: I wish they could work with memory companies and figure out how to make them auto-detect rated memory timings and frequencies. I can't imagine how many go untouched and are under-performing.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a value gaming PC. I just needed 2 memory slots and one PCI-E port. This was a perfect solution to my requirements. For a basic gaming PC that can play any game with room to grow, this is all you need and will not disappoint. Don't buy into everyone saying you need a $200 motherboard just to play Battlefield. I put 8GB of 1600MHz Mushkin memory, an i3-3220 and GT 630 in this and can play Skyrim Legendary Edition on High settings. Yes... it auto-detected HIGH settings! Everything else runs with ease... bring on BF4! :)

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Mobo for size/price

Pros: Works great, good surge protection, easy to install and will fit in any case, pretty cheap too

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: The motherboard is a micro atx so I didn't find it fitting to mention this in cons, but the board is so small it makes installing larger graphics card a real pain because of limited space to work around, so not really a con considering the purchase but something to note

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a trooper

Pros: All inclusive. Install a 3rd gen Intel Core CPU, and you're set - Video, Sound, LAN.

Cons: Nothing I can think of for a $70 motherboard.

Other Thoughts: It has sound, it has LAN, it has at least basic GFX when paired with a 3rd gen CPU (which can also be had for 70 bucks). If you want a basic multimedia machine, and you're not expecting to run hard-hitting games at huge FPS, then this may be a fine bargain solution for you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: I build lots of computers and I really like ASUS motherboards. I can only think of one DOA in the last three or four years. They make a very high quality, durable product.

I've used a 8-9 of this particular model to build machines for a client that is a small consulting company whose needs are simply Microsoft Office, Outlook and an occasional webex. I'll ultimately replace 15 machines this year and 15 next year that I also built that have P5KPL-AM-SE asus boards -- five years zero motherboard failures, though the onboard NIC failed on one of them and I put in another NIC card. So, you can see why I'm sticking with ASUS.

This is not a high-end board for gaming, but it's a very cost-effective board for a general office machine.

Love the smaller form factor makes for space saving machines. Very easy to setup bios, very easy build in general. Onboard video saves $$. Good audio for this application. usb3 is nice for quick transfers onto/from USB sticks. No special anything to get windows 7 to load and driver disk is complete and straight-forward.

I put 4 G of PC1600 ram in these and an Intel SSD disk rather than a hard drive. They don't need much storage space for Word/Excell, it's all on the server. The client thinks they've got a wicked fast computer for the $$.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performer

Pros: First experience with a Micro ATX board. Went with Mid Tower Case to avoid installation space problems reported by others. Could have easily dropped down to a smaller case, and I will next time. Love the UEFI BIOS. Love this board! Perfect for basic build - all of my video card and PCI slots are empty; can expand if needed in the future.

Cons: Won't pour my coffee.
