1 out of 5 eggsBAD QUALITY BOARD !!

Pros: Looks nice!

Cons: This is my second board that has not worked, and now I have to send to Asus to get it repaired. The first would not fire up, and the second board fired up but no display and motherboard code FF comes up. I tried two different Nivida Cards 570 gtx and 780 gtx, plus two different power supplies. I'm using a AMD FX-9590 Vishera 4.7GHz Socket AM3+ witrh no luck!!!

Other Thoughts: I bought plenty of ROG boards and this one has been a nightmare!!

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate - ASUS officially scamming

Pros: No idea, thing blew out instantly.

Cons: No idea, thing blew out instantly.

Other Thoughts: Proper standoff usage, Good connections, PSU confirmed good, Proper anti-static measures taken.

First power up, chipset pops and pours smoke.

I think I can see damage there, but it could just be me seeing what I want to see.

Checked back of board for damage to make sure it didn't somehow magically short even with the standoffs and everything is clean.

Spent all disposable income for 2 years on this PC build.

Have an RMA in, but after doing research online I've become terrified that newegg is going to try and deny the return.

Will be furious if 3000+ dollars is wasted b/c I was sold a bad motherboard.

UPDATE - Sent board in. ASUS is denying warranty b/c of "user caused CPU pin damage"

I sent it in b/c the CHIPSET WAS SMOKING.... and they claim CPU pin damage.

Congrats newegg, you're about to get 2700 dollars of returns..

3 out of 5 eggsWhat is wrong with these boards?

Pros: First off, per previous reviews these board are excellent when you get one that works!

Cons: I am now 2 for 2 being DOA from NewEgg. (One that was ordered as NEW appeared to already have been opened and was missing parts).

Other Thoughts: Issue with first board was a FF post error. Second board CPU Fan and CPU Option fan ports were dead and would not power CPU Fan.

I have about 2 dozen of these installed in various machines with a very low error rate if they work out of the box. I believe only 3 of them have died after about 8 months of use.

1 out of 5 eggsVery disappointed AMD and i love asus

Pros: looks great. the aesthetics are grand.all the extra features are sweet got to love that bios mouse.

Cons: i have been a long time buyer of ASUS products and was looking forward to this board because a lot of people were having easy setup with it. i have done just about everything to get these boards to work. and am very unhappy that my board came DOA with an AA error and a 66 error and i thought o that is fine they can just give me a replacement which they did. but now the new one witch i have had for only 15 days came bad crashing on my windows so i re installed windows and it seemed to still work for a couple days but even then it was still giving me the AA error and now every time i plug in my Bose speaker it turns off my keyboard and mouse. to top it all off i'm getting a VGA card error light is on now and i cant fix it. i'm very displeased ASUS and i like your hardware but this should not happen. i'm getting multiple errors and more than one person has taken a look to try to fix i would like a refund because i paid 18$ for this rma and for some reason i cant get a refund on the board. :C i was really looking forward to all the awesome features of the motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board avoid if u have win 8.1

Pros: Fast board easy to overclock. well done and has a nice layout. Just what you would expect from Asus. I have to dock it 1 egg for this reason.

Cons: The built in ether net port will not work with Windows 8.1 and Asus support has no idea when (or if I suppose) the problem will be corrected and a driver will be made. You cannot use the Windows 8 driver, or the Win 7, etc

Other Thoughts: I checked and saw this was Windows 8 compatible. Truly I did not think that would mean it was not 8.1 compatible. It seems that Asus is not on top of this issue. I cannot think of a better board for AMD Fx9690 so I will add a NIC. It am not certain about how well those will work either as the Intel ones I have found for under $650 do not have full support. I hope this will not cause me to have to return these motherboards.
Asus support is in Philippines now, and the people there mostly knew less then I did. Someone very helpful did return a call to me, but he knew nothing about if or when a driver would be made available. He told me he would call back in a few days, but I never heard from him again. Asus, what is the problem?!?

3 out of 5 eggsStrike One

Pros: Overall a great and fast board, UEFI is great to work with, coming from the old Bios screens. The Asus utilities help make this an extreme AMD board

Cons: PCIeX1_2 no loger sees my Happuage PCIe TV card, now I have put the card into another PCIe slot and it works fine, but for a $200 Nobo I expect all the slots to work, silly me. Ordered board 2 lets hope this works out better.

Other Thoughts: Waiting for board 2 to get here
