Pros: Color

Cons: Just like the most critical review, my board stopped getting past POST after about 3 days of light use. I could start it up but it would shut itself down in about 3~ seconds.

If you buy this board, cross your fingers. If you get a faulty board, the chances that you'll receive a working one are slim to none. Good luck.

Other Thoughts: RMA'd for a refund and buying a different board. Last time I purchase an ASUS.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fired up without a hitch....that's always a plus. Everything has been stable for about a month, I'll update if otherwise. This is way a bios should have been done years ago. Another great purchase from Newegg.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: My build has a few years on it now, and had to replace the Crossfire III because of a huge lightning strike. It's a miracle my 955BE survived. Seems so far the MB was the only thing that took a hit. Although the heat sinks on this board are smaller, it doesn't seem to be an issue. Since all seems well I'll bump the OC a bit.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Mobo

Pros: Stable overclock at 4.6Ghz AMD FX-8350. Just enough SATA ports for a few hard drives, DVD, and externel HDD ports (my case has two).

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I don't even have any USB 3.0 devices I thought I would by now.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Motherboard

Pros: Solid motherboard. I used it in my computer build over a year ago and it's still gling strong. I haven't had any issues with the board at all, and the hard drive raid was VERY easy to setup. I actually have this board in 3 PC builds now with no issues at all, not even the soundcard issue that seems to be populer. I do recconend this board to anyone. It's really good for the price.

Cons: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsTwo time looser

Pros: Speedy, lots of capability. Super bios control.

Cons: This is the second one I have owned. The first one cooked off. I thought it was my fault so I just ate it. Now the same thing has happened with mobo #2 and I know it was not my fault. Maybe first one was not my fault either. Regardless, I am not a rookie. I have built my own desktops for about 20 years now and love ASUS stuff and Newegg. We will see how ASUS responds when I ask for an RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Fast shipping and well package from newegg. Handles a FX 8350 well. Solid BIOS. It has a decent amount of features at a reasonable price. It may not have msata or a lot of other features that Intels chipset offers, but I don't plan on using anything like that anytime soon.

Cons: Not a major con, but the Socket temp does get really hot before any serious overclocking. I hit 70C easily with just a 4.4Ghz @ 1.367 vcore on a FX 8350.

I ended up putting a 80mm fan on the back and it dropped the temps down for me to get to 4.6Ghz @ 1.404 vcore.

This is with a Noctua NH-D14 in an Antec p100 case.

Other Thoughts: I actually had an i7 2600K with an Asus PZ68-V LX. Well that motherboard died on me a few months ago and Asus informed that I'm out of the 3 year warranty period. How convenient..... I bought a few used motherboards online and had an awful experience with that. So I sold my i7 to a friend and only paid a difference of $120 for this new motherboard and FX 8350. Pretty happy with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Board!

Pros: Great, no problems! My main work station for over 5 months. I'm running a 3.5Ghz 8 core and a 500GB Samsung SSD and GeForce GTX 660 2GB video card.

I'm so spoiled by this build it's pathetic.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've had extraordinary good fortune with Asus boards. I buy the best board I can afford and skimp on other thinks if I need to.
I have room to upgrade this system. Faster CPU, more memory, additional video card.

This board will probably still be in service and viable five or six years from now.

By the time I need to build another one from scratch we'll probably be buyin' our parts directly from the space freakin' aliens who originated the technology.

5 out of 5 eggsOver a year later, it's great

Pros: This motherboard looks great and has some nice heat sinks on it. I have hit 4.7GHz on my 8320 and can keep going, just haven't gotten to it yet. Point is, the motherboard hasn't stopped me yet.

Cons: Not the greatest for crossfire and SLI, but I knew that going into it and that's not why I bought it. Just a headsheads up for everyone else.

Pros: i am very glad to happen across this Asus product ..

i decided to upgrade and came across the reviews here .. did a little more research to know for sure .. glad i finalized the deal ..

Good board i was planning to go to the next gen .. but this does what i need to do for now ...

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: The Bio's is a marvel, something to be appreciated .. i can wonder around in there for hours, just looking through it, with full mouse support is uncanny ...
