5 out of 5 eggsGood Board A Lot of Inputs

Pros: Pretty easy to set up. Just follow the real life lander. It's quick and responsive.
Glad to see BIOS eye candy.

Cons: I would/did install the bloatware to get the board up and moving (drivers) then uninstalled it with Revo after countless errors.
You wont look at all that fancy heat monitor fan speed for long.

Other Thoughts: It's not just board makers but really, why do you still put software on a disk?

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: First of all, this is the third board I've bought. First one was a ASUS M5A97 R2.0 and the second was the MSI 990FXA Gaming Motherboard. Both Motherboards were awesome for 2 days. The ASUS board had audio problems come up, and the MSI board started randomly powering down without warning.

Received this ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0, inspected the board, and put it together. The board posted with no issues. Changed a few settings in the UEFI BIOS, and all is well.

Cons: The box was damp from being out in the cold. The instruction manual, driver disk, and the outer edge of the retail box was slightly wet resulting in a couple ripples on the box. The Motherboard however wasn't damp or wet, however, I did allow everything to dry before installing. Not anybody's fault, just bad weather.

Other Thoughts: This build will be for my wife, and praying it lasts. Starting out with an AMD Phenom II X3 710 CPU, then will upgrade up to a FX 4350 or 6300.

I currently have a ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 with a FX-6300 and 4GB GSkill Ripjaws 1333 MHz RAM and it has been solid for almost a year.

First board I've ever seen TPU and EPU switches on it. Sometimes I like turning on the EPU on my M5A99FX PRO R2.0 for energy savings and lower performance computing, and can be turned on or off in BIOS. This board, the switch needs to be moved to manually turn the EPU and TPUs on and off. My wife won't need them so that's a plus.

All USB ports work, and the board stays cool. Great board and I recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus is always the best!

Pros: I have 4 other builds and 3 out of 4 have Asus boards. I have not had any issues with the boards at all. Been running my M5A99FX Pro for a year now with an overclock on the RAM and CPU issue free. Good color scheme, plenty of fan headers (although we always wish for more) Overclocks like a champ and runs nice and cool.

Cons: More like a rant,
I wish motherboard companies would get on the ball and start making AM3+ boards that have PCIE 3.0 along with DDR4 support. I know the tech is getting a bit old and AMD is coming out with a new processor soon, but by not supporting these features for AMD it kind of monopolizes the business for Intel. Not all of us want to pay the insanely high Intel prices to have a nice system when AMD works just as good. I would gladly pay a few bucks more for a motherboard with these features added. Sorry just tired of seeing all those super cool boards made for Intel systems only.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend this board for everyone. All the FX CPU's work very well with this board with the exception of the 9570 and 9590. I don't think the 220w chips are supported on this board.

2 out of 5 eggsSata port seems broken out of box

Pros: Great board, everything is efficiently placed.

Cons: Contacted Asus and did not receive a single response after 48 hours. From my troubleshooting, I have narrowed it down to one of the sata ports. 10/10 would not recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid Asus

Pros: Bios is great. layout of the board is great.

Cons: Dealing will asus, Motherboard will not last long.

Other Thoughts: Had this board for about a year would randomly not post. Sent this board back to asus and would not warranty it due to missing serial number on the board which I used to do my RMA and somehow went missing during the shipping and asus receiving it.Save your money and buy a different board. Asus has really gone down the drain in the last couple years.

3 out of 5 eggsMostly good

Pros: Mostly no problems. I like the board's layout.

Cons: USB 3.0 issues. Worked fine for a few months. Then started crashing, until I disconnected from the on-board USB 3.0 connection. Some of the rear USB 3.0 ports don't like to recognize peripherals either. Maybe I got a bad unit.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor quality control

Pros: Working motherboard

Cons: No hardware included

Other Thoughts: Received only motherboard in box and nothing else. Be prepared to buy your own hardware because ASUS can't afford to include it with your 100$ + purchase...
