Pros: It was good while it lasted.

Cons: Lasted about 5 months before it stopped working. And I don't know whats up with ASUS customer support website, I tried to chat live with a tech support rep and the link didn't even work. Funny thing is all the other links work just fine. How convenient.

Then when I tried to send them a support email they ask for all types of info that is required that you can't find. I clicked on the "How to find" link next to the box and it took me to the same page everytime. So I guess they want the same number 10 time in a row.

This mobo doesn't work and their customer service is worthless. I should have gotten the MSI mobo that I wanted to, but my friend talked me out of it cause this one was cheaper. Save yourself the headache and don't bother with this mobo, or any other ASUS products as far as I'm concerned.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Motherboard for Price

Pros: Motherboard has a plethora of features. The bios is easy enough to navigate and has easy to use overclocking features.

Cons: Would have liked the FX chipset, but that has no affect on the review. I knew what I was buying...the FX sets are just a bit outta my price range. May upgrade later to 890 and get a second GPU.

Other Thoughts: I think the board is fairly well laid out. I mounted a CoolerMaster V8 to it, and the heatsink doesn't bother the ram or the GPU

5 out of 5 eggsNo issues, just what I needed

Pros: Worked out of box, not install issues.

Cons: few fan and cpu settings in bios. I wish for a few speed opions and such. also i installed the express gate and its a neat idea but i wish there was a way to disable it or even uninstall it.

Other Thoughts: well i will post it here as i forgot to add it to all my other reviews. To Newegg, Your packaging is horrible. I would gladdly pay extra for some packing peanuts or bubble wrap. Free shiipping is great and all but not if it means my precious electronics could be damaged. its not like your shipping pellows and socks that don't mind being pushed around a little. My box,(which all my items were in) came with many dents and was half open cause all you did was put one little strip of tape on the top. also the box was packed full and had no packing supplies what-so-ever. Please fix this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board for the price

Pros: The board was very plug and play for me. Everything worked right off the bat at close to full settings (see cons). Overclocking is very simple with it. ASUS's auto voltage and FSB/Ram speeds makes overclocking a decent amount very easy. I only got +.15GHz before I hit a heat ceiling. It easily clocked almost +.5GHz on it's own solid, until I hit a heavy load and my fan couldn't keep up. I've only owned it for about a month now, but I've torture tested it with prime95 and 3dMark Vantage for hours on end with no problems. Read my SSD no issues. Took the added video card and shut off the on-board automatically. The on-board sound card (though I've heard the contrary) works great with my 5.1 system for movies and TV.

Cons: Very few issues. Had to change a few BIOS settings to get an ideal build. Their initial starting screen is bright, and an eyesore (turned off). Also had to mess with boot options to get it to stop using a countdown timer. RAM wasn't read at 1600 initially, but that was a very simple BIOS change. That's not really a con saying as it says you have to O.C. to get it to 1600. Doesn't have sATAII 6.0GBs, crossfire 2x16 (only x8) or PCI express 2.1. Almost all things I knew about ahead of time so it wasn't really surprising.

Other Thoughts: I guess the only thing you should be worried about when you buy this board is if you get a defective one. Otherwise you will probably enjoy a decent motherboard that does most things it should. I haven't tested it's raid capabilities yes, but hopefully I can update this later when I do. If you expect to game on it's on-board video card, well then what are you building a computer for? Go buy a Dell and get a warranty for when you break it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: A lot of options with this board, plenty of expandability and very solidly built. OC utilities are easy to use.

Cons: Had a ton of trouble getting into the BIOS to OC my RAM and CPU. It just went straight from POST to loading Windows 7, nice for when I don't need to adjust settings but frustrating when I've got pressing issues. Floppy drive connector is a bit far away but if you have a long enough ribbon cable you shouldn't have any problems. Had to play with the I/O shield a bit to perfectly line everything up.

Other Thoughts: The BIOS settings were accessible after manually doing the jumpers to reset a couple of times but of course then it reset all the other settings as well.

4 out of 5 eggsCaused problems initially

Pros: -Great for overclocking
-Great spacing on pci-e ports
-Core unlocker
-DDR3 ram and AM3 socket
-Northbridge runs cool

Cons: -Driver problems initially
-hd5770 drivers caused windows not to boot
-card was detected as "VGA adapter" in windows
-No video output for and linux distro

Other Thoughts: All of my problems were video card related. the bios/OS refused to recognize my card, this created great frustration. Make sure you install the chipset driver that is on the cd first. i tried the online one first and it didnt work for me, so make sure you start with cd drivers. Otherwise the board was nice, simple to overclock and runs cool.

4 out of 5 eggsA very good board

Pros: Versatile, well built, a lot of expandability, affordable.

Cons: If you choose to use a floppy drive you ribbon needs to be exceptionally long, the I/O shield has a bit of padding and it made the mounting of the board in the case very snug to say the least.

Other Thoughts: It accepted tons of extra things i had lying around that I decided to start using again. The number of different types of ports is astounding and I am happy with the purchase for a semi-bargain computer.

5 out of 5 eggsGood solid board

Pros: Good price with AM3, HDMI, 5 SATA ports and onboard RAID. Installed Phemon II 955 BE. It booted immediately and was a pleasure to assemble. I like added features like Express Gateway. I highly recommend but do your homework. Read reviews on Newegg and learn from the mistakes of others.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded my system from AMD X2 4200+. I have ATI Radeon 5770 and 4GB of G.Skills memory. I originally planned to go Core i5 or i7 but glad I saved bucks and stayed with AMD.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS KiCK IT!

Pros: ASUS. Awesome Motherboard.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: ASUS Is The Best Motherboard Manufacturer Out There. You Can't Go Wrong With This One Either. It's Nice. I've Heard Though On This One However, That It Says It Supports Up To 16 GB Of Ram. Yet, Noone That I Know Of Has Been Able To Use 16 GB In It. However 8 GB Is Doable In This Thing. I'm Running DDR3 4 GB On Mine. This Motherboard Is Nice. Make Sure If You Get It You Get VQL RAM Specified For Board.
