This review is from: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Multiple PCI-E 4 RAM Channels Good BIOS
Cons: Only one PCI-E x3 Awkward placement of HD AUDIO pins, farthest from front of case where cords are typically ran from
Other Thoughts: This case was pretty good for my gaming rig, since I was on a budget. neither of my embedded USB 3.0 Ports function, although the one in my case does, so it wasn't a huge issue as for there is not a huge need for USB 3.0 just yet. pretty disappointing though.

Pros: Board has been working great. Paired with A10 6800k, 8GB 2100MHz Gskill, Thermaltake 600w, and a 1Tb Seagate SSHD.
Cons: BIOS can be tricky to update - included software is a little sketchy.

This review is from: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Has a lot of what is needed for a good cheep pc build
Cons: DOA. It won't post I've tried everything.. This is my first pc build and I was really excited but now all my excitement is in the trash.. This really blows. I've looked at other reviews, and it looks like a quarter of the people that bought it have had the same issue.
Other Thoughts: Come on msi step it up!
Manufacturer Response:
Dear Valued Customer, Based on the symptom you reported, we suggest you checking following steps below since many reasons can cause the situation like this , 1. Check and make sure that power are connected correctly and firmly (JPWR1 and JPRW2). 2. Check your other major hardware’s (memory, video card, CPU and power supply) to ensure that they are not the cause of the issue. 3. Pros: remains to be seen.
Cons: works for small pc company - we've been using this mb for 6+ months. We've also been having an issue w/ each of our PCs that we haven't yet nailed down - suspect this mb. Our customers experience their mouse/cursor changing to an odd "comb" like shape. Exact shape varies somewhat. We tried an Asus w/ the same chipset-same results. We've done much research-it's not Windows settings. The pc may run for several weeks and be fine and then the cursor changes. The only way to fix is reboot the PC. In researching, it appears there could be an issue w/ the AMD Catalyst software. We've also updated the bios and the AMD Catalyst software - didn't help. AMD just released new software for the catalyst - we're in the middle of trying that now. Unfortunately there's no "readme" available for their updates to let us know what the update is for. We're using the A-10 cpu in our machines. We've used Richlands and Trinity - have seen the error on both. We're trying an ASUS now with Hudson D4 chipset. Next we'll change memory brand.
Other Thoughts: I can't honestly say this is a bad board - I thought I'd write a review to see if anyone had seen anything similar or perhaps a response from Newegg. It's become a major pain for us. We hope the newest AMD catalyst software resolves, as we have lots of customers with this mb now. Fortunately it doesn't happen a whole lot. A lot of our customer's stations run 24/7, but we do not know if there's any correlation with uptime or not.

Pros: I just recently bought this Motherboard because the Asus one I had looked at was a DOA. This board is great, have it in a Nxzt 210 case, Paired with A8 6600k quad, 8gb Corsiar dual chan set 1866 OC to 2331, Amd R9 270 video, Coarsiar 240gb SSD, 1TB WD, Thermaltake 650PS. Solid board, OC functional once you link memory, and User manual was great. Always read it through before touching the board so you know what to expect. Other reviews have stated users using A10's which can be used but they are better used on bigger boards. This is a Micro ATX form factor but still packs a punch for the price. Sometimes you will need to pair it with hardware that works better than others.
Cons: Non.

This review is from: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: I love this board! We use them all the time at work and they have no problems. I love the click BIOS! The board works great with the AMD A8-6600k APU and Team Elite 8GB DDR3 RAM. If your looking for a good board for a budget gaming rig like I was, I would suggest this to you!
Cons: I could see BIOS updates could be troublesome for a person not tech savy.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: There is no power connecter on the mother board so i am not able to turn it on. I feel like i have been ripped off and i feel terrible because its my first every desktop pc build and i was feeling so excited until this point. :(
Other Thoughts: Nothing

This review is from: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: 2 sata cables....
Cons: IO Panel was one of the most difficult things to set in this computer, and I'm not joking. After I had gotten it set one of the holders had gotten stuck inside the hdmi port. I was not going to try to reset the IO panel again so I HAD to break that piece off. This mobo is like a another piece of hardware that has no support system on their website. I tried installing the chipset and bios settings it kept leading me to their other mobo. After I find it the computer still won't support usb 3.0 it just WON'T WORK. Oh did I forget to mention the first one was DOA.
Other Thoughts: By the way UPS took the longest time delivering the package back to RMA 6/26-7/7. Not Newegg or MSI fault but I was just pointing that out.
Manufacturer Response:

This review is from: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Bios is super easy to navigate, Tons of software to make overclocking and bench marking a breeze, Easily resets if you mess something up, intuitive overclock settings
Cons: No graphis chipset (need a graphics card or APU), doesn't nativelly support 1800mhz+ ram without overclock de-clocks it to 1600
Other Thoughts: Bought this as part of a "PS4 Killer" build with an AMD Athlon x4 750k cpu, works great, easily fixed it when I stupidly set a value to high and crashed the bios, some issues however
Had an issue with booting into windows and usb keyboard recognition on boot meaning sometimes you wont be able to get into the bios. occasionally doesn't recognize hard drives for some reason.
These issues seem to be human error however, although documentation is few and far between.

Rating: 2/52 Beeps at POST
This review is from: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Motherboard easily fit into my case and had a nice I/O. Plenty of SATA ports.
Cons: When I placed everything inside the case and turned the computer on, the motherboard gave 2 short beeps and did not continue. No post, no display.
Other Thoughts: I bought this motherboard to replace an older model when lightning stuck power lines at my house and broke the computer. After testing with 2 sets of RAM sticks the motherboard was determined to be the problem. Did not help at all.
