4 out of 5 eggsStill rocking

Pros: Used with am A10-5800 for first build for my sons. Works flawlessly day in and day out. Looks good with the blue theme of our computer. Good documentation and the uefi bios is super easy.

Cons: The MSI live update is a pain because you have to close it before you can shut down the computer. The click bios does not always open from windows

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: I have owned this over a year and it is great. Has plenty of IO at the rear and on board for a MATX board. Front and rear USB 3.0. It is in a HTPC with an A10-5800K so I don't overclock. It works and was inexpensive.

Cons: front panel audio connectors all the was at the rear of the board. Not that I ever use it.

Other Thoughts: Turns out to be an exceptional value. I prefer MSI's UEFI BIOS over the other brands.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought this motherboard last February. I was shopping for a cheap build to replace my aging 2008 build. I bought this one in person, but had been searching around here on newegg reading reviews and such trying to narrow down a motherboard. They had this one at the local place and I liked the price, and figured anything is better than what I currently have. So far I haven't had any problems other than stupid windows. I had to do a specific reinstall that took almost all day to figure out.

Cons: I recall that where the video card goes, was kinda of a stupid smashed spot. My video card is extremely huge, the old 9800 GTX. I delayed in getting a new video card. Also the ram slots are only 2, and thats kinda of inconvenient if you want to upgrade and all you have is the two slots currently occupied by 2 2gb ram sticks.

Other Thoughts: I was trying to put together a new cheap build without going over 300 dollars and this motherboard plus an AMD A8-5600k and 4 gigs of ram came out to a whopping 230 bucks, I used my old power supply that I bought a few months prior, and a salvaged case. Upgrading is annoying.

2 out of 5 eggsDriver Disk Bad

Pros: It was cheap ( Too Cheap )

Cons: The chip set drivers included causes BSD's about every 15 minutes.
Go get the latest from AMD BEFORE install.I installed Catalyst 14-4. And choose rhe custom install , and un-check the boxes for the 2 apps it will want to install. One is for games the other for streaming the games. They will drain your bandwidth dry.
Another thing,,I has NEVER properly recognized any USB 3.0 device, and may have even killed a USB thumb drive.

Other Thoughts: I was unemployed when I built this machine ,otherwise I would have never cheeped out and bought this MoBo. MSI ,Never Again. This board has never really been what you could call stable. Windows 7 has been reinstalled at least six times trying . Today was number 7 I think ?
I have so many problems with MSI it would take too long to list. This was the last straw. As builder I wish I could bill them for all the time I spent on this MoBo.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Exactly what I needed. Worked perfectly.

Cons: Besides the obvious drawbacks of being a MicroATX board, the board had no cons.

5 out of 5 eggsBIOS update

Pros: been using for a couple of months and no problems; wanted sata III (for ssd mostly) and wanted usb 3.0, which is why I got the A75 as opposed to the A-55 (had to add a hyphen because of inappropriateness)

Cons: making sure the APU and cooler/fan are working as they should has been a bit mystifying running Windows 7 and Xubuntu 13.10, but not sure if this is because of the motherboard or AMD or my ignorance, so no egg dropping

Other Thoughts: APU - A8-5600K
Windows 7 professional
The system runs well but I wanted to benchmark it. Windows Experience Index was 4.8 for graphics. Cinebench OpenGL test was low - 18.23. After doing a BIOS update from version 2.2 to 2.3 the scores went up - 6.7 WEI and 29.60 Cinebench. Don't really notice any difference in everyday use, but I recommend flashing the BIOS, at least with the A8-5600K APU.
