2 out of 5 eggsWorst Support EVER

Pros: Worked for time being

Cons: This board is on Firmware 2.7 I did a windows search for it... a lot of time fighting with tech support that assumes I do not know anything... I don't know it all hence why I thought I had tech support... so much for that
Do not buy this board ANY REVISION!! One post earlier stated 1.2 V of MB.
And frankly if I am treated like this by tech support I don't wish to receive their help. Therefore I wish not to buy their product.
BOUGHT A NEW PS BECAUSE THE BOARD WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH THE STATED CLOCK SPEED OF 1866 AFTER 6 MONTHS

I can not get to the bios screen it locks up either on blue screen with logo of UFEI bios/ cant change boot order (using keyboard or mouse)/ etc. Tried CMOS jumper and battery, the firmware says I have the latest Bios... but my problem does not allow me to say which one. I need to get to bios to change boot order in particular. That is my main concern I have dropped down to one drive (though the others were previously working with bios).
Dear Customer,

If you only test with the following hardware installed it will exhibit the same
results?
- cpu along with heatsinkfan
- single stick of memory
- onboard video
-Today I tried only the cpu w/ heatsink and fan, single stick of memory and the onboard video same results.
it either DEL - Locks on a blue screen of the UEFI bios with UEFI Bios listed on top
F12 - shows the current boot order with inablity to change it either with the mouse or keyboard. (on two different keyboards and mouse)
and the other options to get to bios result in similar results to the first one.
Did you tried swapping out any hardware such as memory with another spec to
testing the results?
-I see where this is going... No I do not have 140 dollars more RAM laying around to under clock it to 1600 to run a APU in a stable state. This RAM has served 3 complete builds and I just did a Extended 2 pass Memory Diagnostics and MemTest86 with no issues found. I had the memory clocked to 1866 for about 6 months then I started having issues with random. AND I did plug in the APU to another MB (MSI A88X) W/ the memory tonight to cover that basis and was able to get to their BIOs. It also seems I it is more then just I with a case 11/10/2013 and maybe even 9/13/2013 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128572 ... Do you have a solution? Or am I getting the run around??

Pros: None... Was DOA!

Cons: CPU Fan slow and won't boot up. DOA out of box!

Other Thoughts: I got this as a combo with an AMD CPU & didn’t research it like I should have and many people are having problems with this M/B!

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after 6 months

Pros: Motherboard worked great for 6 months without any issues.

Cons: Motherboard failed after 6 months. It was always surge protected, and I have tried different power supplies, but the motherboard no longer works. It will not even boot to bios.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: USB 3.0; SATA 6 Gb/s connections

Cons: Can't get into the bios screen from the boot screen, W T F? This has been occurring since I've had the board. I was use the Easy Tune software to do a little OCing on the A10-5800K APU and now it will not boot. Goes from the gigabyte boot screen straight into a black screen. Since I can't get into the bios, I'm out of luck! Resetting the CMOS doesnt get me anywhere.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Board construction looks real good

Cons: Cannot install windows 7 64 bit with raid 1 2 drives, keeps coming up with cd/dvd rom driver needed and no driver on disk or online will get past it. With single drives it installs fine, but mirror something and you won't be installing anything. very disappointed have built about 150 machines most asus until the last few years and now gigabyte and no problems and I always mirror drives in case of a drive failure. This board is really screwy, so if you want to run riad and install windows 7, best advice find another board, as this should be a very simple process like it always has been.

Other Thoughts: When you put out a revision don't send manual with the old revision number and bios.

1 out of 5 eggsI will not recommand to other people

Pros: solid material, well made motherboard, a lot of sata port, nice bios interface, easy to set up.

Cons: GBe Lan doesn't work at all, reinstall driver few times, update the driver from factory website, still not working, bought on 8/18, received on 8/21,have been trying for 3 weeks, try to contact the Gigabyte tech, still couldn't solve the problem, I spend a lot of time to try, couldn't get it work, I give up.

Other Thoughts: build with Nezt case, win 7 64bit, AMD A10 6800k APU order with the motherboard, 16GB DDR3 16000 memory, 128 SSD hard drive and 2TB hard drive, I been try all different way, even straight connect to cable modem, still not working, very disappointed, spend more than $800.00 on this new pc and couldn't use internet, it is ridiculous.

3 out of 5 eggsBuggy, but mostly good

Pros: - So many ports to connect to! USB connections out the wazoo, and more SATA-3 connections than 99% of people will ever use.

- The "3D BIOS" is very intuitive, and pretty to look at.

- Backup BIOS means you never have to worry about a bad flash. Flash in the middle of a thunder storm without fear!

Cons: - I heard a lot of noise over my speakers via the built in audio ports, especially when the neighboring USB ports were occupied. I fixed the problem by installing a PCI sound card.

- I've tried three different generic USB 2.0 hubs in various ports, but all three hubs cause the same bugs: When they are inserted, the BIOS will not boot past the POST, and Windows will not shut down without a blue screen crash. I emailed Gigabyte about this, and apparently it is a known issue. Their suggestion to me was to not start-up or shut-down my machine with a hub plugged in. I imagine this will take a future BIOS update to fix.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this board to a friend for the features, but would also warn them about the bugs I've encountered. The USB bug is my biggest issue with this board, and I'd give it a 4/5 instead of a 3/5 if not for that one problem. Hopefully a future BIOS update will fix the issue. When a revised BIOS comes out to fix the USB problem, I will update my review.

Running Windows 7 64-bit
Revision 1.2 of the board
